A daring escape

The guard is running towards Julius and Damion.

Voice-"I knew this was a bad idea"

Julius in his head-"If that was true, you would have said something"

Voice-"I figured it was obvious"

The guard is rushing towards them.

Damion-"Dark skill: unbind"

Damion uses his skill on the guard and all of his armor flies off of him.

Guard-"(shocked) What!?"

Julius-"Gravity skill: push"

Julius used his gravity skill to launch the guard away from them across the hallway.

Damion-"We should hurry"

Julius-"Agreed, earth skill: dig"

Julius continued making the tunnel through the wall. Julius also made sure to close the hole behind them.

Guard-"Stop right... there..."

The guard looks at his hand. While being launched away from Damion and Julius, the vial was smashed and it got all over his hand making the guard woozy.

Guard-"I have... I have to... alert the... boss..."

The guard stumbles away, slowly meandering towards the arena.

Julius and Damion continue tunneling upwards getting closer to the surface.

Damion-"He is probably right behind us!"

Julius-"That is why we are hurrying"

Damion-"I'm still wondering something"

Julius-"Can you ask it later?"

Damion-"I'm sorry it's just, I still don't know who you are"

Julius-"I couldn't risk saying that there until after I got you out. What if somebody had heard me?"

Damion-"That's true"

Julius-"I'll tell you later, but first we need to make it out of the kingdom"

Julius had now reached the surface finding a layer of stone.

Julius-"This must be the road"

Damion-"Can we exit here?"

Julius-"I'll need to check first, special skill: phase"

Julius phases through the stone layer above them to see if the coast is clear.

Back to the guard.

Announcer-"It's time for the next round to start where is the curseborn"

Guard 2-"I don't know sir"

The guard who went to inject the vial into Damion returns without wearing his armor. He stumbles over to the announcer"

Guard 1-"Sir..."

Announcer-"You! Did you do as I asked"

The guard stumbles closer to him.

Announcer-"Are you sick or something? Where is your armor?"

Guard 1-"No s... sir but the curseborn...h..."

Announcer-"H?..."

Guard 1-"H...he got... away..."

Announcer-"What do you mean he got away?"

Guard 1-"He... escaped... he made a tunnel... through the wall..."

Announcer-"That's impossible! He doesn't have an earth skill!, had he dug the tunnel by hand!? Did someone help him!?"

Guard 1-"I didn't..."

Announcer-"Answer me darn you!"

Guard 1-"I didn't see... anybody... else with... him..."

The guard collapses on the floor. The announcer looks at the guards hand and sees the most of the poison from the vial has seeped through his skin.

Announcer-"This is bad! Very bad!"

Guard 2-"What do you want me to do sir"

Announcer-"What do you think!"

Guard 2-"Find him?"

Announcer-"And how are you supposed to do that!?"

Guard 2-"I could um... secure the premises"

Announcer-"He is outside the premises! Find the warden so he can track him down! NOW!"

Guard 2-"Yes sir!"

Guard 2 runs off nearly tripping over Guard 1 who is collapsed on the floor.

Guard 1-"Ow!"

Announcer-"Go see a healer immediately you worthless trash!"

Guard 1 begins pulling himself along the ground towards the healers area. The announcer puts his attention towards the crowds.

Announcer-"(Shouting) I'm sorry everyone but there seems to have been some complications, I'm afraid the tournament will have to stop for tonight. We should be back to normal next week"

Crowds-"Boooo! Complications!? I bet money on fights that haven't happened yet!"

Announcer-"I'm terribly sorry everyone"

The announcer exits the stage stepping on top of guard 1 who was crawling away.

Guard 1-"Ow"

Announcer-"Walk it off"

Aurora sees that something is wrong and approaches the announcer.

Aurora-"What happened?"

Announcer-"The curseborn escaped"

Aurora-"How is that possible"

Announcer-"The incompetent guard said he made a tunnel through the wall"

Aurora-"He doesn't have an earth skill. Did somebody help him escape"

Announcer-"I don't know! That's what I'm trying to find out"

Back to Julius and Damion up at the surface.

Julius phases back down to speak with Damion.

Julius-"The coast is clear"

Damion-"Hold on"

Julius-"What is it?"

Damion-"Why don't you just tunnel us out of the kingdom instead of surfacing inside"

Voice-"He has a point"

Julius in his head-"Well there is hardly any oxygen in here, he could suffocate"

Voice-"You can just make more oxygen"

Julius in his head-"Oh right..."

Damion-"Well?"

Julius-"You're right, I'm going to just tunnel us out of the kingdom"

Damion-"Why didn't you do that first?"

Julius-"Don't question it... please"

Damion-"Ummm... ok..."

Julius continues digging through the ground making sure to close it behind them so they don't leave a tunnel trail, Julius is also making sure to create oxygen for Damion to breathe.

Back with the announcer who has Aurora behind him.

Aurora-"The warden is not going to be happy with you"

Announcer-"It's not my fault the curseborn escaped"

Aurora-"He'll probably take his anger out on you"

Guard 2 is thrown out of the office in front of them slamming into the wall at high speed.

Announcer-"Why do you think I sent the guard to tell him?"

Aurora-"Good plan"

The announcer and Aurora walk into the warden's office. The same one that Julius was in earlier when he was looking through the papers.

Announcer-"I'm sorry that he escaped sir, but we can track him down easily"

Warden-"(Angry) How long since he escaped"

Announcer-"Probably only a couple minutes"

Warden-"(Angry) Probably?"

Announcer-"Definitely, definitely only a couple minutes"

Warden-"(Angry) But he IS outside of the premises, right!?"

Announcer-"Yes sir, but I'm certain you can just simply track his location... sir"

Warden-"(Very angry) I've tried but there is one problem"

Announcer-"Oh... may I ask... what the problem is... sir"

Warden-"(Enraged) The problem! Is that his location ISN'T SHOWING UP!"

Announcer-"What!?"

The warden throws a paper map down on the table that shows a map of the kingdom with the dungeon shown underneath it.

Announcer-"Is the map not working?"

Warden-"I can see all the other prisoners who have not escaped! (Enraged shouting) BUT NOT THE ONE WHO HAS ESCAPED!"

Announcer-"That is... unfortunate"

Warden-"Get in contact with the royal guard! Get me some knights with tracking skills to locate him!"

Aurora-"Yes sir"

Announcer-"At once sir"

Warden-"And one more thing"

Announcer-"Yes sir?"

The warden grabs the announcer and throws him down the hall.

Warden-"Be quick about it!"

The announcer stands back up then him and Aurora along with Guard 2 after he recovered from being thrown run off to alert the knights about this.

Announcer-"Normally it's great... but sometimes... (gasping from running) I really hate this job"
