Chapter 1- I'm hers

-Master Theodore's abode-

"Where have you been and who's she ?."

Master Theodore eyes me suspiciously, his scrutinized gaze holds me in my place. I turn my head to the left where she (Aida) stood unperturbed, as dense as a rock.

"Well you see....."

i can't come up with an excuse, Master Theo is territorial he doesn't like having or entertaining visitors how can we blow this over.

"He's going to work for me and you are too Master Theodore, my father is in need of a capable swordsman" how could she be so abrasive

"What!!, explain yourself boy."

"Well master, I just happened to save her caravan from a bandit attack things lead to others now I find myself here." I say in a hushed town ignoring the girl's inquisitive look

"*sigh* , ye've done attracted the regional lord attention is that so?."

"Yes , now she wouldn't shut up rather her guards insisted that we come with her." I say signaling to my back where the men standby.

"Boy, remind me to increase yer workload 10 folds tonight."

"Ahaahaha, you're a good jesture master."

"Do I look like a Jokester to ya boy."

"....." great on top of Aida's insistently , I got drill master sensei breathing on my neck.

"I take that you agree Master Theodore my retainers will come for you soon enough, now as for you Eric chop chop lets head home. "

"Oi, girl you don't mean .... but I'm too old to be called to the lord's manor!!!."

"I don't get a say in that matter , do I?." No way I rather live with this old man than spend my time around the maincast of the game.

"Absolutely none for the both of you."

How can you smile so innocently after taking us without our consent, isn't this kidnapping. Do we even have rights in this aristocratic system, scratch that give me a choice damn it.

"*sigh* I'm dead as soon as he catches up."

"what do you mean Eric?."

"Its nothing for you to worry your pretty head about your highness."

"Are you in pain?."

"What pain?."

"You were hit by that spell , I thought it hurt."

"Ah, the pain has long gone besides I heal fast, there's nothing for you to worry your lovely self over."

"Lovely? me?

Ohohoho, a commer such of yourself having discernable eyes is unheard of however prudent it may be you may praise me for my worth."

"Your noble lady act falls flat Aida, I and all your retainers seen how you act without the fallacy."

"Its not fallacy besides, I've never talked with a commoner before meeting you I've had no experience with the common lot growing up."

"YOU'RE MY FIRST OK!!."

The lady cheeks flushed as she glanced my way before pouting in an unimaginably cute way.

"You're really admitting it , though if it makes you feel better its the first time I've interacted with anyone other than my hermit master." I say reassuringly

"That makes us each others first hehe." she says giggling

She's cute when she's smiling ear to ear like that.

Time has passed without us noticing as we've spent the entire trip talking and bantering with each other.

And a 6 hour ride later we have finally arrived

"Welcome to my estate Eric."

She says gleefully as she's guided off her carriage by 3 of her retainers, needless to say I had to jump off on my own.

"We will meet father, the raven messenger sent word of you and Master Theodre. He's been eagerly awaiting us."

"Me?."

"And Master Theodre, you'll know when you meet him and make sure you make a good impression otherwise I'll be missing a butler."

The mansion rather more like a medieval palace was coated in blindingly white paint as we walked through the courtyard we passed countless fountains and a garden beautiful enough to become a UNESCO heritage site back on Earth.

"I'm back Steward Ivan."

"Welcome back your highness."

"Is father available?." She asked

"He's currently in his study young madam."

"Thank you Ivan."

"Follow me Eric."

That Ivan fellow glaring daggers at me aside , i follow behind Aida while my minds flabbergasted from the sheer wealth of her estate statues and vases that could eclipse entire economies laid plenty.

It was a long silent treck as we arrived my mouth had long dried the moment i laid eyes on the casual displays of wealth and the excruciating pressure of meeting her father Lord Duke of Lumere.

*knock* *knock*

"You may come in"

Said who I presume is the Duke

The door magically opened as if he'd commanded , royalty or nobility in this world are all capable of using varieties of magic depending on their aptitude and line. One o the strongest among those lines come from Lumere.

We entered the lords study as he queued, the study compared to the rest of the estate appears to be simple surrounded by 4 shelves along a modest sized room lied a man sitting on a humble desk and chair.

"You must be Eric."

He says scrutinizing me with his stern gaze. Lord Rufus like all other Otome characters is handsome his long blonde hair tied in a pony style ,his bespectacled blue pupils gaze sharply eying me are ridiculously captivating, not to mention his impeccable taste in suits all black and his skin unblemished from the influence of the sun.

By all definitions this is a handsome man

'I'm sooo jealous' i say keeping to myself

"Yes Lord Rufus."

"I haven't introduced father to you, how do you know him?." Aida cocks her head cutely asking

"Oh comeon my lady, all of Lumere know the Duke."

"But you're from the booniest of the bonies."

"Do you have a problem with the boonies your highness!!."

"Enough!."

Crap i forgot that i'm in the presence of the lord.

"F-father its my fault do not be harsh on him."

"I apologize my lord." I say bowing profusely

"Are you Master Theodore's student?."

"Student?, I guess you can say that."

"So its true, he's really taken in someone."

He says in deep thought.

"Father is he to your satiafaction."

"Well he saved you, but thats not a guarante for employment."

"B-but father."

"No buts my sweet Aida, I will ask that boy a question and his answer has to set my concerns aside."

"Yes my lord."

I never wanted to be a butler or get involved with the main characters in the 1st place , but something about him makes me strive to be my very best. Seriously how could Aida descend into villainy with such an amazing father.

"What do you think of Aida?."

"What do I think of her?."

"W-what father no!."

"Well I believe she's deceptively mastered the noble girl act but deep down I believe she lacks the social interaction necessary for a girl of her age. Such sheltering can only go so far."

"W-what I'm nothing like you described."

"You're an astute observer Eric, however you need to answer one more question."

"Yes my lord."

"Do you think my daughter's cute?"

"Huh, father not now please." Aida's face becomes beet red like shes just reached her limit.

"This is necessary!, answer me young man!."

"I-I think shes cute."

What are you making me say!, wait this can't be how can I forget this character's quick his very bias towards ...

"As I thought as Master Theodore's great disciple ofcourse you'd fall for an angel like my darling Aida!."

He's a totally obsessed with her!.
