Chapter 124 - The Grand Tour (2)

All of them looked around seeing that the area was the same as the previous area. Shallot let out a breath of exhaustion.

Shallot: 'This is like a poor man's version of Dr. Gero and this isn't helping with anything anymore. I just want to get done with this already.'

They continued walking inside seeing that it was filled with computers and that they were just there for the tampering. Shallot went to the computer connecting his scroll to the computer so that he could get access to the rest of the server for this area.

Shallot: 'He thought that he could stop me from getting into the rest of his computers by only having them connected through the cable system. If he disconnected them from the internet it would have worked with anyone else but not with me.'

Coco was reporting what she found about the room mainly being a computer area.

Ozpin: [Comms] "Good find, team. Do you see any terminals that you can access?"

Coco: "Shallot is already at a terminal getting into the system so that he could get any information that he can from it. We will try to also get a copy of the information and have it sent to you before we continue onward."

They stayed there for five minutes with Shallot copying over things that he didn't have before and looked through some information that he was slightly surprised about.

Shallot: 'So he has a kid that had a Grimm latch onto him before the Mountain Glenn incident and one way to solve the issue was with magic. He asked Ozpin for magic to be given to his son so that he could overcome it before it became too late for him.

Ozpin refused and Merlot went and did whatever he could find necessary to keep his son alive no matter the cost. So Ozpin could have potentially stopped all of Mountain Glenn from falling if he just helped Merlot's son but he didn't. This has taken an interesting turn of events.'

They got what they needed from the information while Shallot was able to get into the system that was Dr. Merlot's and had restarted the wireless access point so that he could get into and download the more heavy files as they continued.

Shallot: 'Glad that this is the server room so that I could get the information quicker.'

They walked seeing that it was steam and some boxes blocking their path.

Ruby: "Looks like we need to find another way around."

Yang walked towards the box punching it sending it flying forward unblocking the path.

Yang: "I have unboxed our way forward."

Weiss: "Did you all plan that pun together?"

Blake looked at them thinking that it wasn't that funny and seemed like a forced joke.

Coco: "We should continue forward."

Team CFVY and JNPR continued walking ignoring Yang and Ruby's setup and pun delivery.

As they were continuing forward and Shallot was having all the information sent to his scroll while the other information that was data-heavy was sent to a cloud server that he has back in beacon. He also started sending some extra information to Ozpin along with Coco.

Ozpin: [Comms] "You did it! Now, can you proxy the signal over to me with your scroll?"

Shallot: 'Suprised Merlot hasn't said anything yet?'

As they continued they heard Merlot come over the comms.

Merlot: [Speakers] "Wait, did you just... oh no... how could I be so stupid?! Prepare to meet your doooom, students!"

The panels on the side were releasing a wave of Grimm that didn't seem to be stopping but at this point, everyone was feeling this was really lackluster.

Nora: "Don't you have anything more interesting. You need to send something else for us to smash. This isn't fun anymore."

Merlot: [Speakers] "I am not some entertainment for you children!!!"

Shallot: "I just want to head home so that I can focus on more important things instead of dealing with a bitter old man."

The doors from all over the area were opened letting swarms of mutated Grimm through with them falling faster than they could close the distance.

Merlot: [Speakers] "Crush them!"

No matter how many Grimm was sent they were being finished before they could get close from Shallot firing accurate ki beams with Velvet copying him with her semblance. Over the comms, they could hear someone typing and spamming keys on a computer with grunts and curses at a low voice.

Merlot: [Speakers] "Finish them! Now!"

Merlot had opened a hidden compartment in the ceiling dropping another Grimm into the room. The difference between this one and the others was that it resembled King Taijitu.

Merlot: [Speakers] "Would you rip them apart, already!"

The Grimm let out a loud hiss sound from its mouth in their direction making some of the members from Team CFVY and the entire Team of JNPR freeze in place. The bone-white plating it should have was completely green while the black liquid that is usually underneath it was bubbling. On the head of it had two horns on its head and charged at them.

Shallot: 'Seems like this one has a paralysis ability or a fear type ability. We only have a couple of days before the fighting tournament begins.

Shallot lifted his hand thinking he didn't have time for this since he wanted to test out the Powerball once he got back and check to make sure that he had full control. Shallot had a ki ball in his hand and launched it. It smashed into the snake Grimm tearing its body in half with it still being alive.

Shallot: "Didn't use enough. Don't want to cause the place to fall on top of us after all."

Shallot started firing a large number of ki beams riddling its body with holes until it stops moving.

After the Grimm was turned into swiss cheese Shallot put his hand down while sweating slightly almost forgetting he was still applying pressure onto himself since he had adjusted to it. Shallot breathed in some air while he felt a cooling sensation wash over his body.

Shallot: 'Now to keep working on the technique and then...' "unlimited power."

Shallot started laughing to himself while Coco was looking at the data that was being sent to Professor Ozpin when she turned to see Shallot laughing to himself. She felt a chill run up her spine while looking at his smile before he stopped laughing. Coco turned to Blake before asking.

Coco: "Are you sure that he's okay, I just felt a shiver run down my back listening to that laugh."

Blake: "Don't worry about it. He does that now and then."

Fox ignored it while thinking that it doesn't concern him and was listening for the completion where he heard a ding from Coco's scroll.

Ozpin: [Comms] "It's complete. Let me see... yes, I have everything I need. Team, I want you to head to the lower levels... to the Manufacturing wing."

Everyone could hear over the speakers with Merlot slamming his hands into the keys of his keyboard hearing a snap sound come through the speakers. Merlot responding in a guttural voice but it also sounded slightly distorted coming through the speakers.

Merlot: [Speakers] "I'll be waiting...".

As Dr. Merlot had smashed his keyboard he looked down at it seeing that it was broken in half.

Dr. Merlot: "Dammit, that was a special keyboard. They don't make primitive keyboards like this anymore and I enjoy hearing the clicking sound while I type. It calms me, but now..."

Dr. Merlot looked at his destroying keyboard and looked towards a box with some other broken keyboard in a similar state.

Dr. Merlot: "That was my only led primitive keyboard among the set and I don't want to spend time building one of these. I could be spending my time on something more productive. Well, I should leave here and make sure that the backup plan is working properly."

Dr. Merlot pressed a button with a wall that popped out of the wall with what looked like another him. He grabbed a remote from inside the drawer and clicked it while pointing at it making the eyelids open.

Dr. Merlot: "You will act as me while I and Jr leave here."

The copy of him nods its head and sits down where Merlot was sitting originally. Dr. Merlot disconnected the tub that had his son in it while also taking him out placing him in another chamber.

Another compartment in the wall opened with Dr. Merlot walked through taking his son with him into the dark corridor. Dr. Merlot looked back into the room for one last time while grinding his teeth with the copy of him only seeing the glowing red robotic eye before it disappeared into the darkness.

[AN: You may be wondering why I'm putting a clear escape path for him and my answer is that I have been setting things up since earlier chapters but some people just can't stand long-term setup and battles of intelligence instead of straight fighting.

I showed that Shallot doesn't really on his strength mainly but work with his intelligence because he isn't muscle brained like most people read about but that is just some ranting that I'm just because I wanted to build a character that is a Saiyan that doesn't only think about fighting and that's all. The people that complain that he is incredibly weak for an ancient Saiyan I won't say that you're wrong but there's a reason for that and I already planned out why he was weak from the second chapter and it will be revealed soon but everyone complains not thinking about all the possibilities that could happen and WHY he is so weak but... I'm still not spoiling why that is so those who complain continue complaining until I reveal why which is probably the longest setup I had to think about. I just never thought I would be in the 100's of chapter range when I got to this point when I wrote the storyline for this.]
