Meeting Zena

I opened the large wooden door to the magic shop, an old lady greeted me. „What a young-looking costumer I don't sell love potions you know? You should go to the shops in the west district, if that's what you are searching for." I gave her my answer.

„I want to learn about magic and see what type of magic items actually exist. Because I don't really know much about it. Would you care to introduce me to the world of magic." She gave me a sly grin and took an item from under her desk. It's an item to measure the amount of magic power someone holds from my appraisal. I remember that old lady using it on Satou to see if she should even sell something to him.

„Lad come put your hands on this tool, run your magic through the board from one hand to the other. We'll talk after the test is over." When I was about to put my hands on it another customer entered the shop. After the old lady saw her she told me.

„Sorry lad we'll continue your test later I have my own rules she's first." I just threw a question back. „Is it alright if I watch your interaction?" she only gave me a court nod while she already made her way to her new costumer. Greeting her with a smile. „Zena, what brings you here today, I hope it's not some military business?"

I was mesmerized by Zena's looks. Yes the books talked about her being a beauty, but her blonde hair looked amazing it was long it reached all the way to her butt. All the while still looking well kept. Her curves were visible with the dress she wore. It accented the line from her breasts to the butt. Making her curves and good figure more evident.

Now I regret making Martha wait outside she surely knows I am looking at Zena with lewd eyes. Considering my bottomless sexual appetite. Zena gave me a short glance and told the lady. „It's alright, I still have to consider it." The old lady didn't seem surprised, yet I didn't know what was going on. The old lady gave me a knowing smile. „That girl wants to fly you see and the magic book containing the spell is rather pricey." I understood just from that, in the web novel it was also an ambition of her's to fly in the sky. To see the world in a whole new light.

I put my hands on the board and started pouring my mana into it. Soon after 6 red lights started emerging, giving the old lady and Zena a shock. That's the highest rank anyone can get, comparable to heroes and country's leading mages. „Such talent with this I have no problem selling you any item you want." The old lady exclaimed in a rather amused tone.

Zena just fixated her eyes on me with a small blush, it's amazing how women in this world seem to be drawn to power, money, and fame. I digress it wasn't all that different in my world, but here it's just plain excessive. In the original Zena Fell for Satou because of his strength and caring nature. I took out my noble plate it's like an ID for V.I.P's, and asked the old lady. „Can I get any discounts with this." The lady just shrugged me off, telling me. „Here are no discounts for noisy brats, like at pendragon firm." I just nodded taking no offense. I made my familiars establish a discount system based on nobility and explorer/adventurer rank.

For example, a chevalier gets 1% percent off on his purchase while a duke would get 10%. Red iron plates would get 5% while mithril plates would get 10%, bronze plates get the same discount as chevaliers. So I wasn't surprised, that she thought it's provocative.

„So is it okay if a get all books on beginner and elementary magic? Also can you bring that book the girl wants." I told the old lady, at the later part I kept my voice down, so Zena doesn't hear me. The lady gave me a sly grin and made her way into the back of the shop to get the books I asked for.

„Also could you bring me books about magic items you would recommend." The lady gave me a nod without even turning around. Now that I was alone with Zena I took my chance. I started flirting with her while the old lady began to amass quite a lot of books on the table.

„So what is the name of such a beautiful flower?" When I asked her she flushed red and began playing around with her skirt. After I while she took both sides of her skirt into her hands, giving me an elegant bow while introducing herself. „My name is Zena Marientail, Viscount-same." I just told her. „Calling me Cedric is fine I am just an upstart honorary viscount after all."

She only exclaimed: „That's, even more, a reason to call you respectfully. Someone that reached nobility on his own surely is an amazing person." „Well thanks for the compliment Zena. But you a woman of such beauty and innocence, stands nowhere behind me, in my eyes."

After I said so, her face flushed red and she started playing with her skirt again. The old lady came over told me it costs 55 gold coins. I put all the books in my item box besides the one for Zena. „Zena let's train magic together sometimes, also her a little gift for you. If you want to meet me I am staying at the Monzen Inn the one with the yellow signboard. It would be nice if you come by when you got time."

She was playing around with her skirt she thanked me for the magic book and run out the shop with a red flushed face. After getting a blaming look from the old lady, I said my goodbyes and went out. Martha came up to me and gave me a short peck on the lips. I was still thinking about how the magic shop was a letdown, it was more like a normal bookstore than anything I would think of as magical.

We made our way back and I told some of my guards to deliver some pendragon firm goods under the name Cedric. When we arrived Martha saw Yuni and greeted her, Martha told me that Yuni moved all the items that arrived for me up into my room. Yuni was already head over heels for my but considering where she comes from it's normal to yearn for wealth and a happy life.

Yuni was getting ready to leave because her work shift was over, and I gave her my garage bag and asked her to bring it to my room. She immediately wanted to do her work but I held her back and told her. „If you want a reward then stay in my room if your done also here are my keys."

She flushed bright red gave a small nod and went upstairs to my room. I confirmed she stayed here and took a hearty dinner. After which I made my way upstairs, I am really looking forward to Martha's reaction when seeing me with another girl. If she comes in to join the fun then I am gonna mark her if not then it will be a shame.

Well, I was an idiot for forgetting to put the mark on her while I still could. I was standing in front of the door to my room already anticipating the fun I would have in it tonight.
