Awakening

The next morning arrived as Lucas joined his parents for breakfast as he was told that the preparations for his awakening has been completed. 

"Lucas, although mom is very happy that you are interested in awakening, I am quite concerned as you will be pressured as the other elite childrens have already finished their awakening a year ago." Grace Sylvester spoke as she looked at Lucas with eyes that are full of love

"Don't worry mom, I already know that I am quite behind the other heirs. However, this will only motivate me even more to get stronger." Lucas reassured his mother as they continued eating breakfast. 

As the family of three were about to finish their breakfast, Alfred, the Sylvester Family's butler intterupted them as there seems to be a major issue at the Celestial Corporation which is owned by the Sylvester family.

Thus, Lucas would only be accompanied by his father during his awakening.

After finishing their breakfast, Lucas and Daniel hopped into their car as they headed to the Mage association to proceed with Lucas's awakening which is located in a floating island above the capital city of Harmonia, thus they have to pass through a teleporation gate to get there. 

In this world, there are 5 continents that are basically controlled by the Ruling families and the associations. These families and associations are powerhouses that reigned over the common civillians. However, they are also tasked to protect humanity againts the monsters that came out of dungeons.

While the power structure in this world is very complex, one thing that everyone aknowledge is that the strongest of mages belong to the Mage association. 

'Just like in my previous life, I will be awakening here' Lucas thought to himself as the car passed through the teleportation gate and he could see the enormous tower that belongs to the mage association

Although Lucas could proceed his awakening in the Sylvester mansion, the result would be lacking as the mana room in their mansion is not as great compared to the one inside the Mage association. 

Lucas got out of his car as they arrived in front of the white tower that reached for the skies. The mage tower consisted of 50 floors and each floor is imbued by space magic, making the space inside it way bigger than what it seems from the outside.

"Lucas lets head inside, one of my colleagues is already waiting for us inside" Daniel said while waving to Lucas as they hurriedly head inside the Mage tower.

They entered the lift and quickly ascended the floors before they eventually stopped at the 46th floor. The mage tower is designed in which the higher the floors are, the higher the mana density is within. Usually, only powerful and influentional people could access the floors above the 40th floor, and only because the presence of his father that Lucas could enter.

Arriving at the 46th Floor, Lucas and Daniel made their way to a room that had the word "Sylvester" Imbedded on it. 

"So this is the son you often mentioned huh Daniel" An old looking man who appeared in front of them as he stared at Lucas

"HAahah thats right, this is my one and only son Lucas." Daniel introduced Lucas to the old man in front of them before continuing "Lucas, this is Sir Henry Edwards, one of the elders of the mage association, and just like me he is a SS-rank Hunter" 

"It is a pleasure to meet you Sir Henry, my name is Lucas De Sylvester." Lucas politely introduced himself as he wondered why this man appeared here

'Henry Edwards, the youngest elder of the mage association that will become the second in command in the future' Lucas thought to himself as he is quite familliar with Henry in his previous life.

"What a polite young kid.." Henry smiled as he heard Lucas's words as he himself has met some of the other Ruling Families descendant and is quite satisfied with Lucas's introduction

"Lucas, old man Henry will help you with the process of your awakening today" Daniel explained as he could see that Lucas is confused with the presence of Henry

Lucas nodded at his father's words as he faced Henry and thanked him for his aid.

The three of them then head inside the room where Lucas will began his awakening. The room is covered with strange patterns that Lucas recognized as mana gathering runes and a single crystal orb was placed in the middle of the room.

"Old man, this time both my wife and I have prepared something extraordinary just for his awakening, make sure not to mess anything up okay?" Daniel said as he handed a briefcase to Henry

"Heh.. all you ruling families always something like that, as an elder of the mage association do you think there is anything I haven't see?" Henry laughed as he accepted the briefcase and slowly opened it

Lucas himself also laughed internally as his father is always the kind who like to overly exaggerate things around. However, both Lucas and Henry were shocked to their core once the thing inside was revealed. 

What Lucas saw inside was none other than a SS-rank Mana gem, something that is so valuable that even other Ruling families might not even have and something that could not be bought or traded anywhere in the world. 

In his previous life, Lucas used a S-rank mana gem that is given to him by the Sylvester family. However, they outdid themselves in this life. Although the difference between the 2 gems is only a single rank, the value difference between those 2 gems are like heaven and earth. 

Even in his previous life, most of the other Ruling families heirs used A-rank gem while only a few used S-rank gems.

"Wow... This is truly unexpected.... only crazy bastards like yourselves could pull off something like this.." Henry Edwards broke the silence as this is the first time he saw someone using such a valuable stone for awakening

While Lucas agreed with Henry's words, he kept his mouth shut as using a SS-rank mana gem would definitely benefit him with his awakening, and even he could not predict the results of his awakening now. 

Higher ranking mana gems have purer mana inside of them, which could help forming a purer and stronger mana core. Furthermore, the mana inside of a gem multiplies as the rank go up. 

"hHahah, I suppose that is a complinent Sir Henry" Daniel laughed as he was happy seeing his son as well as Henry's reaction and he continued as he looked at Henry "both Grace and I already agreed to give this to Lucas"

Collecting his thoughts from the unexpected surprise, Henry quickly said "Alright, we will begin your son's awakening shortly"
