Dead end

DEVON'S POV

Although things have gotten better between Rachel and me, she has still refused to tell me whatever it is that transpired between Delilah and her, despite my constant efforts to find out what it might be. I guess I should just be glad we are on speaking terms again, and she's no longer giving me the silent treatment. 

It's sad that she has remained adamant about dropping out of the investigations. I miss hanging out with her all day. The investigations are back to being between Delilahh and me; it's not the same any more. The spark is gone. It's sad, but I have to go on with it. 

Delilah and I headed to the next location the clues pointed us to to continue our investigations. It was another cave, similar to the one where those rogues held their meetings last time. Only this one wasn't as rocky and was at the base of a mountain. The rogues had abandoned their last meeting spot since I raided the location with my warriors.
