Chapter 45

Suddenly, the door to the break room swung open, and a breathless nurse appeared in the doorway.

"All available staff to rooms two hundred seven and two hundred nine — we've received about a dozen wounded, and we're short on medics!" she announced, then noticing there were only two of us here, she added, "Ryo-kun, you're needed in room nine, it's a more serious case."

I'm known throughout the hospital.

"On my way," I replied, sighing as I got up from the couch and hurried towards the stairs to the second floor, with Yuzu following behind me.

Well, that was a short break!

As soon as I opened the door to the ward, catching a glimpse of the bloody mess vaguely resembling a kunoichi on the operating table (the second floor of the hospital is reserved exclusively for severely injured and surgical cases, while the third and fourth are for moderate and light patients), and a woman in traditional attire with a cap, they immediately started giving me orders.

"Just one? And a trainee at that? Damn it! Take over the heart function, the rest isn't as critical for now! Can you handle it?" the woman commanded, pointing at each clone. "I'll deal with the broken ribs and second lung for now. How long can you hold out?"

"At least two hours," I answered.

"An hour and a half."

"An hour and a half."

"You, create another one and deal with the abdominal wound, at this rate, we'll be done in forty minutes."

Pausing my technique for a moment, I formed the seal, and after a puff of smoke, returned to my task, no longer paying attention to those around me.

With ten hands working, even if only one of us was tending to the wound, and the others were sustaining life in the mangled body, the work progressed quickly.

Judging by the nature of the injuries, the kunoichi had been hit by a Doton technique, and it was unclear how she had survived until she was brought to the hospital.

As the unknown doctor had said, we managed to finish in just over forty minutes, by which time my chakra was beginning to run out. But even focused on my task, I observed out of the corner of my eye as the experienced medic collected rib fragments, repaired damaged lung tissue, stitched torn muscles, and even regenerated skin!

My third clone gave way to the master and began working on the legs, but even with lighter wounds, he struggled much longer and with not as excellent results. In the end, when I dispelled my clones and regained all the memories along with the remaining chakra, I discovered that the difference in skill between the kunoichi (she had a hitai-ate on her arm) and me was immense.

Of course, with chakra and another hour or three, I could have managed, but not to such a result — lying on the table in front of us was a naked, blood-covered, but completely intact girl of nineteen or twenty, perhaps a bit skinny and pale, but incomparable to the mess they brought in. Heck, she even managed to restore her breasts, despite the fact that there were only shreds of meat left from one!

"Phew, we did it!" stepping aside, I slumped into a chair, not wanting to distract or interfere with the final diagnosis.

"We did it," the medic agreed and, a couple of minutes later, slumped heavily onto the adjacent chair, "congratulations, kid, you've earned the rank of full-fledged fourth-degree medic."

Wow!

"But I didn't really treat much," I tried to argue.

Not that I wasn't happy, but I doubted that about six months of work was enough to get the next promotion, and comparing the quality of my work to that of my colleagues, I could only shake my head and envy!

"It doesn't matter, in a critical situation, you didn't lose your composure, and that's the most important thing in our profession," the woman smiled.

Her face looks familiar, she reminds me of someone. Running my gaze up and down her figure for a moment, I noted her large breasts, which were clearly visible even in a sitting position and in a medic's uniform, all the curves were in the right places, and I caught on the lock of light hair that had slipped out from under her cap.

"For a trainee, you did exceptionally well with abdominal and leg wounds too," she praised me, removing her headgear and shaking out her mane of light hair... Tsunade Senju?!! "Some of our new medics would have done worse. And even without your help, managing such massive injuries while simultaneously sustaining life would have been too difficult for me. You could say the girl owes her life fully to you."

Blonde hair — check, huge breasts — check, crystal on the forehead — also check! She's definitely the real Tsunade Senju! What luck to meet her! Although, considering where I work, it would have happened sooner or later. But why haven't I seen her before?

Was she on missions with her team? Or did I just not pay attention? Very possible, since starting practice, my workload has increased even more, and there hasn't been much time to look around.

While I openly stared at her, especially at her face and the crystal peeking out from under her bangs, Tsunade fell silent and for the first time during our time working together, she looked me over carefully, lingering

on my hair. She even adjusted a strand that had come loose from my ponytail and was hanging over my right eye.

"I assume you're Ryo Nara?" Tsunade said more affirmatively.

"That's me," I replied, somewhat taken aback.
