maybe this one's too short oopsie

A couple days after, I began having lessons with Stefan, to try and master the ability to read minds. Oh, I forgot to mention, Stefan put too much power when he said he enchantment, so now I can read others minds as well. And I might also have some of Stefan's other powers. No wonder he was so weak when he finished the spell. His father doesn't exactly know what happened, as Stefan thought it'd be best if the King didn't know. But, he still has his suspicions. I was in the middle of having a conversation with Stefan on how to temporarily block out another's thoughts for 6 hours, when Jillian thrust open the door. She nodded at Stefan, and just as quickly as she came, she left, slamming the door behind her. Stefan sighed.

"We'll resume the lesson tomorrow." He said, without looking me in the eye. He waited for me to leave then he disappeared, just like that. I was starting to get attached to him, and I don't know why. Perhaps I was just getting comfortable around him? Anyways, my feet began directing me to the place where I got my, or should I say, Stefan's, powers. I tended to go there a lot more often than I thought I would've. Like, for example, actually going! Once I got there, I pretended to be Stefan when he did the enchantment. I have a pretty good memory, so I tried to repeat what Stefan said.

"Ecce qui moves sceptrum!" I yelled. My palms glowed for a second, and, surprisingly, a sceptre actually appeared! A full silver sceptre that twisted around, and on the tip of the sceptre, a hovering oval shaped purple gem, Amethyst, if I remembered correctly. My mouth opened in awe of the beautiful sceptre.

"Awesome!" Was the only word that could come out of my mouth. I then felt a burning sensation on my upper left arm. I rotated my head just a little bit to see what it was. This time, my mouth opened wider, but in horror, of the brandishing on my arm. It was a small image of the sceptre in my hands, with a capital "L" in front of it. I was confused by why it had an "L" on it, instead of an "A", because my name was Arrabella, not like, Laura or something. It was beautiful nonetheless, but I didn't know whether it would stay on forever or if it would only reappear when I summoned the sceptre. Thing is, I don't know how to get rid of the sceptre. I tried saying some random things.

"Sceptre disappearum!" That didn't work. "Sceptrum disappear!" That didn't work either. Suddenly, a thought came to my head. "Evanescet Sceptrum!" The sceptre disappeared with a shimmer, the palms of my hands glowing for a second, again. I quickly glanced at my arm and saw that the brandished tattoo was still stuck on my arm. Oh well. I'll just have to find some way to cover it up. Makeup, perhaps? I don't know if there was any here… magic? No, if it was brandished I don't think it would go away that easily. Lightbulb! Bandage! I think I could summon a bandage using just my hands. I clicked my fingers. "Roll of bandage." I said. Surprisingly, it worked. I wrapped the bandage around my brandish making sure it completely covered it without it seeming suspicious. I ran to the elevator, and decided to go to my room to rest. For some strange reason, I felt worn out, although I didn't do any huge spells. At least, I don't think I did. I'll figure out how to tell everyone about my brandishing tomorrow. I reached my hands to the top of my head and pulled out my hair tie, then put my hair into a low, messy bun. I finally told the elevator to open the door and walked to my room. Before I closed the door, I called for Jillian. Bizarrely, she didn't come. I called her name again, louder this time. She still didn't come. I said it louder, again. I was practically screaming her name now. Finally, she came.

"Excuse me miss, but you'll have to be quick. I have really important things to do for the king." She said impatiently.

"Of course." I replied. "Just tell the others I would not like to be disturbed, thank you." Jillian nodded her head and zipped down towards the throne room. "Wonder what she's up to…" I mused. My curiosity got the best of me. I walked out and closed the door with a slight bang to make it seem like I was in there. I very quietly shuffled to the elevator and attempted to silence it when I got inside. "Do not Disturb Mode." I said.

"Commencing; Do not Disturb Mode." The elevator said quietly. I asked it to go to Ground Floor, where I would find Jillian, and perhaps, Stefan. The doors opened and I walked to the Throne Room. The doors were open so I walked right in. A girl turned around.

"YOU?!!" I shouted in horror.
