Chapter 26: Story

Lights flickered as the car pass by, Marissa have a blank expression as she look outside the window.

She have experience alot today ,that is not normally experience by a student like her. Her mind is in a mess.

Her face often contort as image of what happened earlier flash into her mind.

The people who die that has littered everywhere. Their deformed and unsightly appearance haunt her memories.

She can still hear the screaming of people is still and she can still feel the bug bit her all over her body.

A tap on her shoulder woke her up from her daze.She look back and saw the professor.

On his hand was a plastic with a screen on in, it was a console.

" Here , play some brick games on it while we drive home"

Marissa took the console involuntarily, she then look at it with daze look.

The game on it appears to be a block game of Tetris. As her mind is confused , she just started gaming.

Their ride on the car was not long and they were able to arrived at the university within half in an hour.Marissa still have blank face but her eyes doesn't show the horror that it showcase earlier.

Marissa entered the building , wash up and removed her lab gown. She then entered the lab to get her bag.

She saw the professor sitting beside a desk reading a leather bound book.

She walk up to him.

She then took out the console on her pocket and offer it back.

The professor just throw her a brief look.

" Take it home. Everytime you remember those horrific scene , play it. Trust me ,it will work like a charm!"

He then said without looking back.

Marissa pulled back her hand and then leave.

After a few minutes of commute she have reached her apartment. She put down her things and then change into something more comfortable.

She then get to bed , and sit for a while.

Suddenly, stream if tears flowed down her cheeks, it started from silent crying but it then turn into full-blown sobbing.

As her eyes is drowning in tears her hand has felt something on her bed.

She look and saw that it was the console. She then wiped her tears and started playing.

Meanwhile ,on the lab of the ancient biology building. A man in a coat was in full focused as he write on the desk.

" Haha, you bastards finally appeared!"

A glint of anger and excitement appeared on his eyes.
