Spending time together

Afterward, they walked out of the hotel and toward the centre of town.

Mia did not know what she wanted to do now; all she knew was that she didn't want to stay in the hotel.

They passed by small shops filled with souvenirs and trinkets, and they stopped at one of them.

Inside, they saw hundreds of stuffed toys made from snow. They looked so real, Mia thought, and she picked up a bear.

Raven came over and held it with her.

"I love this," Mia said. "Can we buy it?"

"Sure, why not?"

The shopkeeper showed them some options, and they chose two bears, which they paid for.

"Well, let's continue our walk," Mia decided.

They walked through a park and then headed into a crowded shopping street.

"Look, there's a Christmas market," Mia pointed.

"Looks like a lot of fun."

They stopped at a stall and bought some hot chocolate.

While drinking their cocoa, they looked around the stalls and saw many interesting things.

Mia tried on a pair of gloves, and she bought them.

"Yes, these are cute," she said, putting them on.

Raven looked at her and smiled.

They continued looking at all the unique items and ended up buying some chocolates and spices.

As they continued walking, Mia spotted a restaurant sign across the street that intrigued her.

"Hey, look at that," she said, pointing. "A place called 'The Snowflake.'"

"Sounds great."

They entered the quaint little restaurant, which was decorated in white and red, with large snowflakes hanging from the ceiling.

The bar was in the front, while tables filled the rest of the space.

The waiters wore Santa hats and jackets, and they greeted guests as they approached the counter.

"Hello, may we help you?"

Mia and Raven stood before the hostess.

"Yes, we would like to have dinner here," Mia said.

Mia and Raven gave her their names, and she smiled.

"Right away. Please follow me."

She led them to a table near the window, where they sat down facing the street.

A server approached them.

"Welcome to 'The Snowflake.' What can I get you started with?"

"I'll have a glass of water," Raven replied.

"And you?" The server asked Mia.

"Um, just water for me, too."

"Of course, I'll be right back."

The server walked away, and Raven leaned over the table.

"Well, here we are," he said.

Mia laughed and looked around at the decor.

"This is really nice," she commented. "What a great place!"

"I agree."

They continued looking around until the server came back with their water.

"Enjoy," he said, setting down the glasses.

He left, and they drank their water, enjoying the taste of it.

"I love it when the water tastes fresh," Mia said.

"Me too," Raven replied.

They were still looking around the restaurant when the server brought out their food.

"Here you go," he said.

"Thanks!"

Raven looked at the food, and his eyes widened.

"Wow, this looks delicious!"

"I agree," Mia said, and she tasted her meal.

The food was perfect, and they enjoyed every bite.

Afterward, they sat back and sighed.

"That was great!" Mia exclaimed.

"Indeed."

They paid the check and left the restaurant.

"We should walk around some more," Raven suggested. "I want to look at all the Christmas lights."

"Sounds good to me," Mia replied.

They walked around for hours until it started getting dark.

"It's getting cold," Mia said. "Maybe we should head back to the hotel."

"Yeah, it's getting late," Raven agreed.

They took a taxi back and headed up to their room.

When they got inside, Raven immediately turned on the heater and began taking off his coat.

"Ah, much better!" He exclaimed.

Mia giggled.

She put down her bags and went into the kitchen.

"Are you hungry?" She asked.

"Not really, but something light would be fine," Raven replied.

"I'll make us dinner then."

"No, I can do it," Raven said.

"Don't worry about it. I'm actually enjoying it."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I am. Now go relax!"

"Okay, if you insist," Raven said, going to sit on the couch.

Mia prepared a light meal and served it to Raven.

He smiled.

"This is wonderful," he said.

"I'm glad you like it."

Mia sat down on the couch and they continued chatting, talking about anything and everything that came to mind.

It wasn't until they both felt sleepy and slept together.

Mia turned off the lights and climbed under the covers.

Raven came over and hugged her.

"Good night, darling," he whispered.

Mia kissed him.

"Good night, love."

They lay there in each other's arms, sleeping soundly.

Mia woke up the next morning and stretched.

She looked over at Raven, who was still sleeping, and smiled.

Then she quietly got up and left the room.

When she got to the kitchen, she made breakfast and coffee, setting the table with plates of pancakes, sausages, and juice.

Then she went back to the bedroom and gently shook Raven awake.

"Hey," she said.

He stirred. "Mm."

"Get up, sleepyhead."

He opened his eyes. "Is it morning?"

"It is."

He got up and followed her into the kitchen.

As they ate breakfast, they discussed what they wanted to do today.

"Let's go see the ice sculptures at the Winter Carnival," Raven suggested.

"That sounds fun," Mia replied.

"Yes, we should."

They finished their meal and headed out the door, bags in hand.

Once they arrived at the carnival, they bought tickets and went inside.

It was busier than last time, and they had to weave through crowds to get to the ice sculptures.

As they passed the stalls selling food and trinkets, Raven paused.

"Would you like anything?" He asked.

"I'll have a French Vanilla," she replied.

Raven nodded and bought two drinks.

They continued walking, sipping their hot cocoa.

"Let's get closer to the sculptures," Raven suggested.

They went over to where the sculptures were displayed, and Raven was amazed.

"Wow!" He exclaimed.

"They're so beautiful," Mia remarked.

There were various figures made of ice, all different shapes and sizes.

Some were animals, some were people, and some were even a combination of both.

Raven stared at them in awe.

"Did you know," he began, "that these sculptures took over a year to create?"

Mia looked at him. "No, I didn't know."

"Yes. They started with the basic shape and then worked on adding details."

"Amazing."

"Yes. Let's go see more."

They spent the rest of the morning at the carnival, stopping to admire every sculpture that caught their eye.

But the fun had to stop, as today they both had to go home.

They headed out of the carnival and into the busy streets.

Mia looked around and spotted a restaurant.

"Raven, how about lunch?" She asked.

"I'm good with that," he replied.

They went inside the restaurant and sat down at a table.

After they ordered food, they looked out the window at the passersby.

"So," Raven said, "what do you want to do after we leave here?"

Mia thought for a moment.

"I don't know," she replied.

Raven laughed.

"Don't think about it too much. Let's just go wherever the wind blows."

"Okay," Mia agreed.

They both ate quickly and ordered a taxi to head home.
