"Mia?"
Raven's eyes, which had adjusted to the darkness, were immediately drawn to Mia, who was standing there in her bright blue pyjamas.
In complete silence, Mia made her way to Raven's bed and crawled under the covers without uttering a single word.
The moment she rolled into his arms, she could feel the gentle caress of his embrace, which was soft and comforting.
"You said I can live in this room, so don't act all surprised." Mia said with her eyes closed.
Raven looked at her with tired eyes, then pulled her close and drifted off to sleep.
The next morning arises, shining a warm hue into Mia fiery red hair.
The blaring sound of Raven's alarm jolts them both awake from their slumber.
Before leaving for Quebec, the two take a moment to freshen up and prepare for the long journey ahead.
Mia's bags were packed with Raven's help, stuffed with clothes, makeup, and other products.
His hand was reaching for one drawer when Mia's eyes froze, and she grabbed his hand.
"You're not allowed to check that one," Mia said, her eyes narrowing at every word she spoke.
Raven nodded.
The drawer sat there, taunting him with the mystery of what was inside.
He noticed how she kept that drawer away from his reach and honoured her privacy.
He grabbed the black leather suitcase, and with Mia following closely behind, left the room.
As he left the room, he glimpsed his brother stepping out in semi-formal attire.
Raven's eyes flashed as he recalled Mia's speculations from the day before.
"Maybe he actually has a girlfriend," Raven mumbled under his breath.
"Huh? What was that?" Will asked, turning his attention to Raven.
"Oh, it's nothing," Raven replied dismissively.
Will simply nodded, not bothered enough to inquire further.
"Come on, let's get going." Mia said, bolting downstairs, leaving Raven alone with the two suitcases.
Raven chuckled and followed Mia downstairs, the weight of the suitcases making each step harder.
Their mother rushed over to lend a helping hand when she saw the commotion.
As they loaded their bags into the car, the children chattered excitedly about the sights they would see in Quebec City.
They set off with a sense of anticipation, feeling the excitement of the upcoming week ahead.
As the scenery passed by, Mia remained fixed in the backseat while Raven and Will exchanged lighthearted banter in the front.
The car was filled with their laughter and cheerful conversations, creating a joyful atmosphere.
Their mother watched her two children chat with joy in her heart.
Raven and Will hadn't had a lighthearted conversation in so long that she couldn't remember when it happened last.
She cleared her mind and focused on the road stretching out before her.
They followed the road as it wound through the countryside, each mile bringing them closer to the new and exciting destination that awaited them.
Raven stole a glance at Mia now and then as the car drove onward.
Mia noticed this immediately and couldn't help but smile.
"Hmm, whatcha looking at?" Mia asked when she saw Raven looking at her again.
Raven didn't reply instantly and approached her ear.
He made a small whisper, making her body tingle.
"The scenery on the right wasn't as good as the one on the left."
Mia chuckled at Raven's playful response.
"Well, you'll have to settle for the left side then," she replied, leaning closer to him.
Raven grinned and wrapped his arm around Mia, pulling her close to him.
The drive continued, and the surrounding scenery changed.
The tall buildings and busy streets of the city faded away, replaced by the rolling hills and snow-covered trees of the countryside.
As they got closer to Quebec City, the excitement in the car grew.
Mia and Raven eagerly discussed their bucket list of travel destinations while Will reminisced about his previous visits to the city.
As they drove, their mother couldn't help but smile at the sound of her children's laughter.
The family finally arrived at the hotel after a long drive, and as they climbed out of the car, they could feel the cool breeze of the evening air.
Mia and Raven looked around, taking in the grandeur of the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac.
Will walked ahead, eager to check in and get settled into his room.
As they made their way to the lobby, Raven felt Mia slip her hand into his.
He glanced at her and saw her smiling up at him. He smiled back, feeling his heart flutter.
After checking in, the family split off into their separate rooms to freshen up before exploring the city.
Mia and Raven quickly changed into warmer clothes, eager to start their adventure.
As they stepped out onto the snow-covered streets, Raven couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement.
He had never been to Quebec City before, and he was eager to explore every inch of it with Mia.
The two walked hand in hand, taking in the sights and sounds of the city. They visited the Place d'Youville, where they went ice skating and took in the beautiful architecture of the buildings surrounding them.
They then walked through the Quartier Petit Champlain, admiring the quaint shops and cafes lining the cobblestone streets.
As the day turned into night, they stopped at Cafe du Monde for a cup of hot chocolate to warm up.
Sitting across from each other, they talked about everything and anything that came to mind, their conversation flowing effortlessly.
As they finished their hot chocolates, Mia stood up, a mischievous glint in her eye.
"Come on, let's go explore some more," she said, grabbing Raven's hand and pulling him up from his seat.
Raven chuckled, following her lead as they made their way through the streets, the falling snow creating a magical atmosphere around them.
As they turned a corner, Mia halted, her attention caught by a small shop with a sign that read "Lingerie Boutique."
A small smile played on her lips as she turned to Raven, a look of mischief in her eyes.
"Let's go in," she said, pulling him towards the door.
