Chapter 97: An Unjust Punishment

"What do you mean?" Erik frowned.

"As I have said before, this is an order issued to me." said the servant. From the back of Erik, he was getting tied up by other two servants.

Erik moved his hands away as soon as the servants were going to tie him down, "Then why do the carvings beside the court say that it is forbidden to capture a thief without their memory of doing it?"

The servant in front on Erik widened her eyes. She frowned "How do you know that?"

"It was simply a carving. As a craftsman, I make fathomable amounts of these. The moment I saw them, I knew what the words meant."

"Guards, take him away." said the servant. She became slightly cautious.

From behind, the guards were tying Erik up and started to pull him away to the court. Since Erik was not the kind to let it slide, he pushed the servants away and asked,

"I will not bow down to such a command. Tell me what I did."
