SS Rank Ch.8

(James POV)

While I stand their making sure that the students are protected from this mana by creating a ice barrier. I feel a sudden hit of magical wave and seeing that their is now a white dome in the training ground from where those to idiot were dueling.

Then the mana starts getting dense and stronger and I notice that this is getting closer to that of a SS rank mana but it wasn't Bruce's mana. Then it hit me, Luna must have had a breakthrough. Which would be usually good but in this situation it not since currently there are students.

Since I knew that she was going to release mana up to SS rank to told the students to leave and tell the others that the training grounds are closed for a week.

After they left me and Ashley walked in to the dome. In the middle it was Bruce and Luna. I wanted to scream at them but couldn't because currently Luna going through a life or death situation.

When you breakthrough a rank, people feel it almost immediately but it becomes different when you become a S ranker it a little different.

When you breakthrough to S rank, you fell immediately and immense pain but people can get through it but for those who can't they become injured and dropped a minor rank or two and never able to become S rank.

Their are thousands of S ranks worldwide but has you ever wonder why there only 9 well now hopefully 10 SS ranks? That because of two reason.

First is the potential that awakeners have. If they don't awaken SS rank potential then they will never become SS rank. That limits ton of awakener but still there is still some out there.

Second is because their afraid or dead by becoming SS rank. It basically that same as S rank but except of demotion of rank and never becoming a S rank it is death. The pain is even more intense and even less people pass through to SS rank.

That why besides of screaming at them now I'll do it later as I have to stabilize and keep her stable .

(Luna POV)

I could feel the mana coming into and my body absorbing like a sponge. At first it was warm but over time it started getting cold and then my body felt as it pulling itself apart so I used my skill [Body of Space-Time] that lets me control the space and time inside my body. I also used it to control my mana so that it wouldn't leave my body.

Then I felt three other manas helping me contain and speed up my awakening breakthrough. One was the color of light purple which I recognized as Ashley's mana. The second one was blue and red which was James mana. The last one was one I instantly recognized as Bruce's mana which was a crimson red with black color.

I wasn't going to waste this opportunity so I used all three of there manas and absorbed it. Then a sudden pain washed over me but it was worth it as it help speed up my breakthrough.

I don't know why but this whole time my mana wasn't running out of my body. It was like it was trapped inside my body but I didn't complain since this help because as I was absorbing the mana it only help speed up the process.

After a while the pain suddenly stoped, but I could feel it my body and mana was just a step away from breaking through. Then all of a sudden my mana just burst out of me as if what every was holding it back just let go. At first when it came out of me it the pain was bearable but then it went back into me and was extremely painful but then it settle down in a instant as if someone told it to calm down.

Once the mana settled down in my body I could feel it. I have become a SS rank awakener, which most people consider to be a rank where you lose your humanity and become a unique existence.

I had to say it did feel like a someone new but at the same time I was still me. So I open my eyes to see the directors sitting down and tired. Bruce also looked tired but way less then the other two.

I notice that we were in a all white dome which I never seen before but I could tell it was made out of Bruce's mana. It seem similar to my [Space-Time Field] but gave of a feeling of dominance. Then Bruce said something surprising.

Bruce: Hey sleepyhead, congratulations on becoming one of us.

Luna: Yeah, thank you. Anyways how long has it been.

Bruce: Not that long only a little over 5 weeks.

Luna: What!! What do you mean not that long! It been over 5 weeks!

Bruce: Well usually it takes 3-6 months to breakthrough but with our help not only was it sped up but also your life was never in real danger.

Luna: Danger? What do you mean?

Bruce: Well when you decide to breakthrough all of a sudden the area was filled it chaotic mana from our battle. This wouldn't usually affect anything but since SS rank is a little special it need the surrounding mana to be calm if not your chance of surviving come close to 0%.

Luna: Is this what the dome is? To calm the mana?

Bruce: Kinda, it let me control anything in this dome. So I controlled the mana to make sure you can breakthrough and to keep you alive if anything happens. It a skill of mine if you were wondering.

Luna: That like my skill but isn't a little OP?

Bruce: Said the women who can basically control reality itself.

James: IF YOUR DONE FLIRTING CAN YOU REALSE THIS BARRIER THING!!!

Ashley: Calm down hon, but Bruce can you release it since we would like to rest.

Bruce: Yea, my bad. Get some rest because your going to need some to deal with press and work stuff.

James: Uh, why did you have to remind me.

Ashley: See you in a little bit

Then it was just me and Bruce in the training grounds. So I decided to ask him about what happened during my breakthrough. He said he wasn't sure because they were helping me the whole time but while I was in my breakthrough a few high rankers came in his domain and told them some tragic news.

During her breakthrough, the director canceled school until further notice to make sure the students would be affected by my mana.

So the students got to do international schooling from all over the human domain for free, which was good for the students. This would help the students learn at other schools and see stuff in a different environment.

But Bruce told me that while in the middle of my breakthrough, there was a mass scale attack to all awakener schools all over causing the death of thousands of students.

Since our class was spread all over, they were attacked too. Bruce said they don't have a proper estimate when they talk to him but he said that there isn't separate class for the same rank anymore.

The class all had separate ranks for everyone's potential and they are separate to three classes to filter some students to make sure they get proper growth. But since now that there only one S rank class room that mean at least 70% of the S rank class room were killed or crippled.

I felt guilty because if it wasn't for me they wouldn't have died or been crippled. But then Bruce looked at me and said something shocking.

Bruce: Hey, look it isn't your fault.

Luna: What do you mean! It obviously my fault if it weren't for my breakthrough we would have never sent them to those other academy's.

Bruce: It's not your fault.

Luna: Of course it is!

Bruce Hey, hey, hey, look at me. It Not Your Fault.

Luna: What do you want me to say? If it not mind then who is it then? Who is it if not mine!

Bruce: It the attackers fault. Blame it on the attackers. Look now that you're a SS rank you have true power to basically stop any thing. Remember you are Luna Stellar the Strongest Space Magician.

After that talk I calm down and decided to look at my status.

Looking at my status, I knew that Bruce was right. I have become a true powerhouse in the world. Few were at the same rank and even fewer could touch me.

(Bruce POV)

As I calm down Luna, I was still mad because in the novel this event did happen and all the S rank became one but the other ranked classes weren't supposed to came together. The death toll was way greater then the novel.

The classes we're supposed to go to a island for a mid term/ vacation for the teacher and most teachers didn't go except for the home room teachers like Luna and myself.

Then the teacher would battle a bunch of demons and devils that have power similar to low S rankers. While the students battle B rankers or lower. In the end most of the demons and devils were killed only the highest ranked demons and devils escaped.

There targets were most of S classes. They succeeded somewhat and that how it when in the original novel.

With this event the S classes combined and the protagonist meets the rest of the C rankers that will become villain, villainess, and the rest of main cast.

But still it sad that this happen but I can't change it now so… might as take advantage of this.
