"What are you trying to do?" Mark Reed protected Claudia Ross, "I won't let you hurt her."

Wyatt Perry said coldly, "I won't hurt her."

"Then what do you want to do?"

In Mark Reed's view, Wyatt Perry would only do things to harm Claudia Ross, so he naturally assumed the duty of protector.
