Chapter 6

Aunt Yassi heard that Rose's brother married into the Willow Village . Hearing some rumors about Gabriel's husband , Aunt Yassi felt unease and worry for the child.  Yassi decided to sell her embroidered clothes in the Willow Village to check on the pair of siblings' situation . What if they were scammed by a malicious man and tricked Gabriel into marrying . As a middle aged woman who gets along well with Rose , she can't just turn a blind eye to it . For her , Rose and Gabriel were already her child. 

When Yassi passed by the Willow Village , Aunt Yassi stopped a villager and asked . " Sister , i heard that someone married today . "

The middle aged woman happened to be the one of the people who were talking about the Rosilans and Church that time . Aunt Nina put her basket over her head and faced Aunt Yassi . " Oh , you're talking about Ryan's marriage with the pitiful man . It is indeed true that they married . "

Aunt Yassi bit her lower lip and hesitated.  " Did the Ryan you're talking about married a man with a small sister on his side? "

" Sister? " Aunt Nina pondered for a while and then recalled that there's indeed a little girl hugging the little boy's waist earlier when the ox cart passed by . " Oh yeah , there's indeed a little girl i saw in the ox cart earlier . "

" Do you know where this Ryan's house is located? "

Aunt Nina pointed at a direction to the outskirts to the west before walking forward to the east direction . Aunt Yassi walked forward and went to the east . She passed by several peasant thatched mud/wooden houses first before finding herself in an open area of field . One lone two storey house stood in front surrounded by Moderately tall fences . She could also hear the noises created by the poultry animals as well as the cows and oxen .

Aunt Yassi paused for a while before sighing in relief . Seeing as Ryan's situation wasn't as hard as other farmers in the village , Aunt Yassi felt that marrying this well off Ryan might be better for the both of them .

Aunt Yassi lifted her basket full of embroidered clothes before turning back to sell her hand made products .

While walking away. ,Aunt Yassi seems to hear a shout but Yassi immediately ignored it subconsciously . She hummed and kicked some pebbles along the way , tilted her coif on her head and continued humming again . Then she suddenly heard an indistinct noise of rapid footsteps . Yassi immediately turned to look at her back and saw Rose running towards her with a bright smile on her face . " Aunt Yassi!!! "

Yassi smiled gently and put down her basket on the ground before kneeling . Rose arrived and hugged her . Yassi chuckled and rubbed Rose's head . " You got thinner . "

Rose laughed and shook her body along with her new dress . " Truthfully , i got more fatter ."

Yassi noticed Rose's new dress.  " Rose got prettier today . "

Rose smiled cheekily again and chuckled.  " Rose will always be pretty from now on , Aunt Yassi . "

Yassi also noticed Rose's soft hair and fragrant body . It seems that Gab has taken good care of his sister today now that he got married . " Where's your brother? "

Rose pointed at the two storey house not too far and responded . " He is cleaning the table . Aunt Yassi , let's go inside . There's a lot of food today. "

Yassi immediately shook her head in refusal . " I still have things to do today , Rose . Aunt Yassi's going ahead now . "

Rose stopped Yassi when she stood up . " Aunt Yassi , please stop by at our house . "

Yassi felt awkward seeing Rose's pleading face and shook her head . " I don't want to disturb you guys but don't worry , I'll take a visit next time once you guys stabilized . "

" Pinky promise? " Rose extended her pinky to Yassi .

" Pinky Promise? What's that? " Yassi also extended her Pinky .

Rose immediately hook her pinky around Yassi's pinky and said to her with her milky voice . " You can't break your promise that you will pay us a visit next time . "

Yassi sighed then smiled gently . " Ok , I won't break the promise . Pinky promise! "

Rose smiled then suddenly put her hand into her pocket and put a sachet within Yassi's hands.  " Auntie , there are a lot of sweet candies inside . You can give these to your sons when you return back . "

Yassi covered her mouth feeling overwhelmed and hugged Rose tightly . " You are such a sensible child , Rose . I really want a daughter like you in the future . "

Rose then suddenly replied . " Then work hard to make babies with Uncle Carlos next time.  "

Yassi suddenly choked on air and coughed lightly . " W-what are talking about , Rose ? Where did you learn that from? "

Rose laughed in amusement seeing the red flush on Auntie Yassi's cheeks and said lightly . " Clergy Ian . "

" That fool , teaching innocent girls and boys some bad things again . " Yassi whispered then rubbed Rose's soft head before paying a farewell . " I bid thee farewell! Anon! " ( Anon- later )

Not too far away , a red haired beautiful woman could be seen lazing in her large nest . Smoke of tobacco occasionally drifted to the air as she blew her tobacco . She is sexy and hot , with clusters of red feathers draped over her body . Her slender legs peeked out from the feather robe looking so tempting and sinful .

Someone suddenly visited her tree house and shouted from down below . " Mrs. Irvana!!! Your red cub is now married!!! "

" ... " Eva Irvana was still smoking when she suddenly heard his resounding loud voice .

Eva looked down from her nest and blinked before suddenly realizing his words.  " What did you say brat?!!! That quiet kid married someone? Are you kidding me? "

" And i heard that he married a boy! "

" ... " Eva's mouth gaped open as she looked at the sky with shock then slowly calmed down.  " Well ,  I'm not surprised that he married a man instead of woman . Who would dare to marry that crazy guy . "

The man below chuckled . " Why do you view your son like that? Aren't you going to congratulate him? Let's bring him here and write the boy's name in our clan . "

Eva waved her hand and nonchalantly said . " Humans only have small life spans , by the time Ryan becomes an adult . That boy will probably be dead by that time . "

" So harsh . "

The said human who only has a small lifespan was currently tending to Ryan's poultry farm . Collecting eggs that were layed by the hens and collecting their animal manure to be mixed in the field as fertilizer .

On the other hand , Ryan finally woke up from his sleep and sat up . He remembered that he has not eaten his meal yet . Ryan climb down and saw Rose sitting on the rattan sofa . She was humming a song while swaying her feet that couldn't touch the floor .

" Good afternoon , Brother Ryan . " Greeted the little girl .

Ryan nodded to her and asked . " Where is your brother? "

Rose then pointed to the back . " He's in the poultry . "

Ryan nodded , he went to kitchen first to drink a cup of water and washed his mouth before stepping out of the house to head towards the poultry .

Ryan saw the boy carrying boxes of eggs towards the storage house with his sleeves rolled back to his elbow , exposing a pair of slim and pale forearms . His pants were also rolled up to his knees showing his slim legs coated with dirt and mud . Ryan felt displeased seeing the boy's malnourished body .

In ancient times , their standard of beauty varies from person to person but peasants mostly like people who were fat and fleshy . That indicates how well they live .

Nobles however preferred weak and thin framed girls . No wonder why noble woman often tortured themselves in their tight corsets just to show how curvy their bodies are .

Gab noticed an odd gaze on his body and looked forward . He saw the red haired handsome man staring at his body silently . Gab gulped in nervousness thinking that this man might probably be feeling angry because they did not consumate . There's no way he will give up his virginity! He's still a minor !

Of course , he's mentally not .

Ryan walked forward and helped him carry the box of eggs and patted Gab's back . " You're trembling , you must be tired . Take a rest . "

I'm not trembling from fatigue ... Gab nodded and wiped his sweat before taking a seat on a wooden bench .

Ryan returned with a fat hen within his hands . Gab curiously looked at him and asked . " What are you going to do with that?

Ryan showed him the hen and responded . " Cook it for dinner . "

" We can just cook vegetables though . "

Ryan shook his head . " You have to be fatten up . You're too thin . "

Gab sighed learning that this man is actually stubborn . He reluctantly nodded them spoke . " Let's stew it then . Having a balanced diet is more healthy for us malnourished people . "

Ryan then softened his face and rubbed Gab's head . " You don't need to worry about food anymore . I have a lot of food in my backyard . "

Gab blushed and touched his head which was rubbed by Ryan just now . No one has ever touched his head like that in his past life . No one dares to do it though .

The two went back to the house to cook the hen . Gab isn't really skillfull when it comes to cooking , his skill was only average compared to the chef in the restaurants .

Ryan was the one who stew the chicken and although the chicken wasn't as fat as the modern chicken . It still tastes the same for Gab who have a neutral tongue ever since the apocalypse . He can basically eat everything edible .

When the apocalypse has yet to come , Gab was originally a picky eater . He doesn't like vegetables , and hates bitter gourd ( ampalaya ) especially ladies' finger ( okra/ochro ) and spinach .

He also doesn't like seafoods aside from fish . Gab however favors tropical fruits and pork.  Modern people often eat instant processed food such as instant noodles , Quaker oats , cereal , mechanically deboned products such as beef loaf , ham , sausages , hotdog's etc . And Gab rarely eats in restaurants . His mother was also abroad and no one cooks for him , so he often eat instant foods .

Throughout his life , he never ate complicated food . If he wants to buy something delicious , he would just eat in an eatery and never in the restaurants .

If he has money , he never enter a restaurant but instead fastfood restaurant . Gab especially likes french fries and burgers . One would wonder how he survived living in such unhealthy diet.

When apocalypse came , it only worsened.

Now , back to the present time . The family of three finally started eating their dinner . Such good meal , Ryan has a good skill in kitchen . Enough to marry a woman--- ah! Right , he's already a married man .

When the time to sleep came . Gab faced the most awkward scenario in his life . The whole room was quiet as the newly wed husbands stared at each other silently .

Ryan then slowly pointed to the bed . " Aren't you going to sleep? "

Gab wryly smiled and nodded . " Yes "

" Then lay down already.  "

Gab crawled over the bed and slowly tuck himself inside the quilt . Ryan also followed and tucked himself inside too . Gab and Ryan faced each other and felt awkward again .

Although , the bed was wide and big.  Ryan was a tall person and has a bigger frame compared to the malnourished thin framed Gab . When the two layed down on the bed , the whole bed seems to have become cramped . Since the two have been silent throughout the whole time , they could basically hear each other's loud breathing as well as the rythm of their heartbeat , creating an ambiguity between the two .

Gab immediately closed his eyes . During the apocalypse , he was already used to sleeping with other people but sleeping alone with your husband was another thing . Owing to fact that they were strangers until they married each other , he really feels awkward facing each other on the same bed .

Ryan then also closed his eyes to sleep , feeling a bit unfamiliar having another person sleeping beside you on the same bed and quilt . The whole night was peaceful as the sounds of crickets rang out from outside creating a calming effect and also relaxing Gabriel's tired muscles . In the middle of the night , Gab felt the surrounding turning colder . He shivered and extended his arm to hug a pillow and didn't noticed that he was actually hugging Ryan .

Ryan subconsciously moved Gab's head over his arm and cuddled together . Gab gradually felt warmer having a human heater hugging him . Ryan on the other hand tightened his hold on him and sniffed the other person .

So fragrant , Gab's hair feels so soft and fragrant making Ryan feel more addicted.  Ryan subconsciously felt more intimate with Gab and touched the boy's waist and thought inwardly, so soft ... Yet still bony .

He has to feed him more in the future .
