Chapter 150: Fitting End

The trio woke up the next morning after everyone and made sure to delay the team's journey to Osaka that day by train. They couldn't let the giant Turtle appear next to Osaka or Tokyo, these where the two most important cities of Japan.

Even if it was a Ruler, alone it would die before they could ever communicate, so their meeting had to be in a place like Xixiong. The team were quite unhappy with them and was ready to hitch rides but Jiang Shaojun placated them with magic.

However, Song Xia's Mental Strength was strong enough to overcome the spell for a moment and realised what was going on but Cao Guang didn't hesitate to tell her the full story and decided to bring her along to find Baxia as well.

The trio heard a ruckus infront of the temple that afternoon a few locals and the monks here seemed to be confronting a young woman.

Cao Guang knew what was happening and decided to interfere as he always did.

He went up to the crowd and asked them what had happened, he recognised the wayward monk Qi Hai, the head abbot Xin Yu and the girl Gao Xuan saw going on the back of Baxia, Miyata.

He knew the story of Miyata and Nara Arisora from the canon anyway, but he didn't see Nara Arisora anywhere it seems he was away on some business and Qi Hai had deflected his responsibility onto Nara Arisora. All the monks were bald in the dark it was impossible for the villagers to notice the difference, Qi Hai simply manipulated the rumour before they got to him.

Cao Guang went to the centre of the group and asked what was going on.

"It's like this yesterday night after drinking the two of us found the monk Nara Arisora messing around with this young woman over here, and we want to abolish Nara Arisora from the temple, we pay for this place we are not going to have a damn monk ruin it's purity".

" You saw Nara Arisora exactly, you saw his face right?"

" Well not exactly "

" Ok then you saw her face up close right?"

" Then what the hell are you doing here?"

The villagers went mute at this point and Qi Hai showed a wince on his face, he had lost his chance to have Nara Arisora kicked out of the temple.

"I saw the monk you are talking about and it is none of my business to expose them, I am a mage and my eyesight in the dark is pretty good, me and my friends saw Nara Arisora at night yesterday and he wasn't with any woman, now you can go "

The crowd slowly dispersed as Cao Guang hailed Miyata to wait.

" Thank you clearing that matter"

" My friend saw you going to an island that night that's how I knew you weren't here as for who the monk they saw was Qi Hai and some other woman, now can you lead the three of us to that island".

" Yes, yes"

The three of them were led by Miyata to the said island and were not suprise like her when the 'island' was missing.

" I am not lying, there was an island here, I stayed on it for hours"

" You don't have to convince I know better than you, the reason I stopped that trial was to talk about this island, you weren't on an island per se, you where on the back of a large Sea Monster the size of an island.

It stood still and slept for the night and probably ignored you because you weren't a mage, try that again and you will find yourself in it's belly, if I were you I wouldn't be telling this to others, they won't believe you either way"

Cao Guang and the others watched as the girl left back to Village from there and the curious villagers follow her from there, they wouldn't drop the matter like, all Cao Guang had said was Nara Arisora and Miyata were innocent for yesterday, as long as the seed of doubt existed it wouldn't go away that easily, now that he had saved her from a pointless death maybe it would work out better for both of them this way. In his opinion this would either bring them closer than ever or break them apart completely.

He wasn't going to do anything more, he wasn't their guardian angel.

Cao Guang and his friends went back to the temple and found some rumours spreading about not just Nara Arisora, but Qi Hai and some other woman also, the preparator had met his retribution.
