Three years had passed since Yumehiko began focusing on his constitution, and the results were nothing short of astonishing. Who could have predicted that increasing his constitution would also boost his curse energy by default? His body, now far more formidable, had unlocked a plethora of skills, including regeneration. "With this," he thought, "I might not even need Reverse Cursed Technique."
Yumehiko had also succeeded in creating his favorite move: the Railgun. And though he had developed numerous elemental attacks, he rarely used them. His true fascination lay in space, time, and vector manipulation.
But despite his growth, he faced a frustrating obstacle. No matter how hard he tried, his constitution refused to increase beyond 99. "Is it the points?" he wondered. "Or does the 100 mark signify a new realm?" Unsure, he focused on gathering points to reach that elusive 100.
"As I am now," he mused, "I can cover half of Tokyo with my Curse Technique and run it for two hours straight, three times a day." His Curse Energy Regeneration was to thank for that. "I want to raise Regeneration to S-level, but it demands an ungodly amount of points. Maybe I should just focus on constitution; it always brings surprises."
At his current level, Yumehiko could comfortably take on a semi-special grade curse spirit. He had already faced several A-grade curses simultaneously but had yet to confront a true special grade. "Someday," he promised himself.
One of the perks of his S-level Concealment was that it kept him under the radar. Only someone on Satoru Gojo's level could detect him, and so far, he hadn't done anything significant enough to catch Gojo's eye. "Probability, my most reliable skill," he smiled, "tells me I'm 99% unnoticed. That 1% has been there since day one."
Next year, he would be old enough to join Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College. "I really need to join," he realized, "for the basics and, more importantly, to learn Domain Expansion and Reverse Cursed Technique. My gut tells me they'll be crucial."
He debated how to join. "Should I reveal myself to a jujutsu sorcerer? Or create an 'accidental' encounter with a senior? The first option is easier, but the second... finding someone known would be hard. I've lived 14 years in this world and haven't met any familiar faces from the manga. Gojo and Shoko should be graduating this year, so next year Gojo will start teaching first years. That's perfect; I need his support. Without Gojo, I wouldn't even consider joining."
But how to explain his Curse Technique? "Should I say it's space manipulation? Regeneration? I won't reveal the original until I'm unbeatable. Space manipulation sounds plausible, but I doubt Gojo will believe it. His Six Eyes aren't for show. Still, I think he'll respect my privacy. Probably."
For now, Yumehiko decided to start hunting cursed spirits openly, but within a minimal range to avoid serious attention from higher-ups. "Let's start by earning points to reach 100 in constitution and get noticed by an active member of the Jujutsu College."
Chapter 2: The Encounter
Unknown POV
A woman with silver hair tied in a ponytail, two bangs framing her face, and dressed in a black shirt with a necktie nestled between her ample chest, walked through an abandoned factory. The building was covered by a black dome, adding to the eerie atmosphere. She carried a battle axe casually slung over her shoulder and was in the middle of a phone call.
"Moshi moshi," she greeted, her voice laced with mild annoyance. "Well, the bug's been squashed, but it wasn't what you said it was. I'm charging extra for the overtime; we agreed on two hours, and it took me an extra two just to hunt down and destroy the whole group. Yeah, thanks. Nice working with you."
As she prepared to leave, she noticed a young boy standing in front of her, gazing straight at her with an intensity that was unsettling.
"Well," the boy said, his voice cool and indifferent, "you don't look that strong, but for now, I suppose you'll suffice."
Her irritation flared. "What the hell is he talking about?" she thought, but before she could voice her anger, he unsheathed his sword and closed the distance between them in an instant.
She dodged his first strike, barely, and prepared herself for the next. His attacks were relentless, but as the fight dragged on, she noticed something: the boy fought like he was battling cursed spirits, not a human opponent. His inexperience with intelligent adversaries was glaringly obvious, but his strength was undeniable.
As the fight continued, the boy used an impressive array of techniques—Void Edge, Void Steps, Magic Bullets, and even an Electromagnetic Gun—but his efforts were futile against her battle-hardened experience. After 15 minutes of continuous assault, he still hadn't broken a sweat, though it was clear he wasn't putting his full power into the fight. She could tell he was holding back, not out of mercy, but out of caution.
Finally, she'd had enough. "Okay, kid. What do you want? You've got skills, but you lack the experience to take me down."
The boy paused, sheathing his sword as if the fight had been nothing more than a warm-up. "I don't want anything, really. I just wanted to fight someone with powers like mine."
She raised an eyebrow, amused by his naivety. "Superpowers, huh? Are you some wannabe hero who wants to defeat evil and save damsels in distress?"
His ears turned red at her words, and she could see the embarrassment washing over him.
"Hell no!" he retorted, flustered. "Who wants to be a hero? If I wanted to save damsels in distress, I would've interfered when you were fighting that monster. I'm not interested in being a hero. I just want to find someone like me... a comrade, I suppose."
"A comrade, huh?" she smirked. "So, you want a supporting character who's below you in looks, power, and everything else to make you shine?"
He bristled at her words. "Hell no! If that were the case, why would I choose you? Are you stupid? You look more like a female lead, not some extra character."
She laughed, genuinely entertained for the first time in a while. "So, you're searching for your heroine, then? Well, you're not bad-looking yourself, and you've got the strength to match. But if you want me as your female lead, you'll have to be rich, kid. Very rich."
He blinked, clearly taken aback by her sudden shift in tone. "How much?" he asked, dead serious.
Now it was her turn to be surprised. "Hahaha, you're a bold one, aren't you? Do you like this big sister?" she teased, holding up one finger. "This much, at the very least."
His eyes widened in realization. "1 billion?"
She nodded, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. "Dollars, not yen."
Without missing a beat, he pulled out his phone and opened a banking app, showing her his account balance—a whopping 10 billion dollars in liquid assets.
Her eyes lit up, practically seeing the money symbols in them.
Chapter 1: The Prodigy
Kurotsuki Yumehiko stood before the imposing figure of Mei Mei, his eyes unwavering despite the lingering tension in the air. The abandoned factory, bathed in the eerie glow of cursed energy, had been the perfect setting for their first encounter—an encounter that would soon reshape his future.
With a calm yet confident voice, Yumehiko broke the silence. "I'm currently 14 years old. We have to wait four years for marriage, but this is just my liquid assets. I have around seven to eight times more in stocks and real estate. I don't have much interest in those; you can keep them as dowry. How about it?"
Mei Mei's expression shifted rapidly—from surprise to shock, then to a mixture of shame and amusement. She chuckled, the sound reverberating through the empty space. "Hahaha, I never thought I'd be proposed to in such a straightforward way. You know, people call this gold digging. Are you sure you want to marry me, kid?"
