Armored Emperor

Defeating the masters of level four and three wasn't hard for Arsenal because of his raw power as the reincarnation of an ancient being. Though he was still weak to a certain level, that didn't stop him from defeating the rank D and rank C monsters respectively. Although he sustained some injuries from his fight with the level three rank C monster, it wasn't life-threatening. The only problem is that he had already gotten weak from the two big fights.

"What is this?" He asked, picking up a somewhat large fang from the floor.

"That is the fang belonging to the two-headed golden lion," Kloey was the one who replied as she knew what it was.

"What's so important about it that makes it a treasure?" He asked, staring at the fang in his hand like it was of no significance.

"Well, the golden lion is a magic beast so it's only natural that its parts will contain a significant amount of magic in them," she explained.

"Oh, I see," he muttered and gazed at the fang. Now that I think of it, I can feel the aura surrounding it but it's very faint. To a normal person, it is just a piece of bone. "I have gotten this, together with those precious stones I got from the other level. They aren't enough, I need more," he said to the girls with him.

"Level two is going to be harder, it will be quite difficult for you to defeat the master who is a rank A monster," Kloey told him.

"I don't care," he replied and headed for the next door. 'No matter how difficult the next levels will be, I must succeed in finishing the game,' he thought to himself and went into the next room.

As the reincarnation of the devil, Arsenal thought everything would come easy for him. He felt that since he had the ancient demonic blood flowing through his veins, defeating mere monsters was an easy task; but what he didn't know was that nothing comes easy. Even for the most unparalleled figure, some things don't just work the way they want or expect them to be. He was so overly too confident in his newfound powers that he ended up almost ruining himself.

~Woosh~

He dodged what suddenly came his way the moment they stepped into the room but though he dodged it, he didn't react quickly enough and the object sliced off his left ear.

"You—" Muna gasped, not sure of what to say. She saw how blood was gushing out from the open wound and this made her stomach turn. Unable to continue looking, she briefly turned and wanted to go to another side of the room but another attack came her way. Luckily, Arsenal saw it on time and pushed her out of the way, and in the end, the object pierced him instead.

He held his bleeding chest and fell on one knee.

"Master!" Muna called. Although this was the very first time she was calling him that willingly, it no longer mattered because Arsenal had been injured because of her; as a result, she felt bad and summoned her sword. "Master, don't worry. I will avenge you," she said and gazed ahead of her.

A loud laugh suddenly echoed in the room and they began to look around, wondering where the voice was coming from.

"Show yourself!" Muna said out loud.

"Fascinating," the voice said and from the shadow, an armored figure emerged with a bow and arrow in his hands. "Fascinating," he repeated.

"It's you... I will kill you!" Muna swore and charged forward.

The armored figure cackled and stretched out his bow, ready to shoot.

Arsenal knew that Muna was no match for the armored figure so he stood up and looked in the direction Muna was. "Swap!" He said and immediately, the both of them changed places. Because of this, he wasn't able to protect himself so the arrow came again and pierced him in his shoulder.

He grunted and moved backward.

The pain was becoming unbearable because whenever the metal part of the arrow pierced him, that spot began to freeze inside. It was becoming a big problem for him because right from birth, he never liked staying in areas where there was much high temperature. His body was too weak to get accustomed to chilling weather.

Kloey noticed that her soon-to-be master was suffering so she decided to do something.

"Eyes of illusion, enchant!" She mumbled with her eyes closed and soon, multiple eyes filled the room. Muna quickly covered her eyes so she wouldn't be affected by it.

The armored figure, however, didn't know what she was doing so he didn't protect his eyes and ended up being caught in the spell.

"Master, the spell won't last. We should leave as soon as possible," Kloey told Arsenal but the latter was reluctant to leave.

He was unwilling to leave without defeating the monster.

"No, not yet," he said and stood up to his feet. He tried to ignore the freezing pain in his body and concentrate on the armored figure. "I have to finish the game," he said to himself.

By the time he was up, the spell placed on the armored figure was already gone; Kloey was right when she said the spell wouldn't hold the armored figure for a long time.

"Things might go crazy, hide yourselves," Arsenal said to Kloey who immediately cast a spell on both her and Muna.

Seeing that they were now safe, the air suddenly became electric as he and the armored figure faced off, their eyes locked in an intense glare. The armored figure, its body releasing a substantial amount of vicious aura, charged forward with a deafening roar, its massive fists swinging in powerful arcs.

Arsenal, though weak dodged and weaved, avoiding the armored figure's crushing blows by mere inches. With a swift kick, he sent the armored figure stumbling back, its metal armor clanking to the ground.

The armored figure soon regained its footing, its eyes blazing with fury. It unleashed a barrage of punches, each one aimed at Arsenal's weak body. The latter, however, knew it was no time to think of his pain, and with the belief that he was no stranger to combat, countered each blow with precision and skill.

The two monsters clashed in a flurry of kicks, blows, and sparks. Their movement, a blur of speed and strength.

'It seems he is getting stronger the more,' the armored figure thought to himself as he fought tirelessly. Unknown to him, it was taking Arsenal everything in him to keep the fight going.

Arsenal's striving agility allowed him to dance around the armored figure's slower, more powerful kicks, landing quick jabs and hooks that dented the armor but failed to penetrate its defenses.

The armored figure, enraged by its inability to land a decisive blow, unleashed a devastating uppercut that sent Arsenal flying across the room.

"Argh!" He grunted and tried to get up but fell down back.
