By the time dusk begins to fall, I can't contain my excitement any longer. I return to our bedroom, finding Leora at her vanity, brushing her hair. The soft light from the setting sun casts a golden glow across her features, making her look even more ethereal.
"Are you ready for our last night at the Demon Festival?" I ask, leaning against the doorframe, a smile playing on my lips.
Leora turns to me, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "I've been looking forward to it all day. The festival has been amazing, and I can't wait to see the fireworks tonight."
I step into the room and take her hand, pulling her gently to her feet. "You look beautiful, as always," I say, admiring her in the simple yet elegant dress she chose for the evening. It's a deep shade of blue that complements her eyes, and she has a small pendant around her neck that I gave her.
"Thank you, Zephara," she replies, a blush rising to her cheeks. "You don't look so bad yourself."
