I woke up. The beautiful sunshine reached my eyes. When I opened my eyes, I realized that I am in a familiar house. Yeah, I am in my room.

Duke only knew that the girl eat in the couple's restaurant. So, he captured the both couple. Raped the wife in front of the husband." the red haired adventurer replied.

"I heard that duke tortured both couple a lot. He beat the husband and wife physically. But both of them, never told anything about that girl. Later, duke Chauhan executed both of them." The blue haired adventurer said.

"Oh, you guys talking about the owner of the restaurant? I heard he had a little children. His children was sold to a slave trader. Can you imagine what that little child has been through? Because of an unknown person she lost her both parents. She had to see her parents getting executed by those nobles. Because of someone else, she had to lose everything." a girl adventurer joined in.

Wait, why do I feel like something similar? Killed dukes son? Couple having a children. Don't tell me!

"My lord, it's bad." Tara said while being worried.

"Yeah, let's go confirm through our own eyes." Saying that, I desperately started to run toward the central plaza.

When we arrived, I couldn't believe my eyes.

Tears began to drop from my eyes.

"How did this happen."

I stand frozen, unable to process the sight before me. The couple I had met only once lay lifeless in the center of the plaza, their bodies cold and still. My mind races, trying to make sense of what happened, but guilt and sadness weigh heavy on my heart.

My knees give way beneath me, and I collapse onto the ground, my hands trembling as I reach out to touch their still bodies. Tears blur my vision as I try to come to terms with the fact that they are gone forever. And the thought of having to explain this to Mao, their little girl, is almost too much to bear.

As I sit there, lost in grief and regret, I can't help but feel like it's all my fault. If only I had been there to protect them, maybe they would still be alive. But now, all I can do is try to find a way to ease Mao's pain and make amends for what I couldn't prevent.

The weight of responsibility and guilt is crushing, and I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to forgive myself. But I know that I need to find the strength to face this and do what I can to help Mao through this unimaginable loss. The memory of this day will stay with me forever, a reminder of the fragility of life and the impact of our actions, no matter how small they may seem.

"What should I do?" I said in blurred eyes while looking at those lifeless bodies.
