CHAPTER START---

---Somewhere in the land of fire...

Standing within a pristine lab, Jin looks with disgust at a severed arm and head floating in a tube in front of him.

"Gross..."

"But effective at least," Karin points out, wearing black combat pants and long sleeve shirt with an unmarked vest and a blank white mask with a red line down the middle at the side of her head.

"Good job figuring it out, you really are the best little sister," he ruffles her hair a bit as she pushes his hand away.

"This thing was a pain in the ass, if you didn't send the notes from that other guy's head then I never would have figured it out. But at least now you can use that eye once a day if you use your weird chakra."

"It's not weird chakra, it's nature chakra. And what did you do with all the Sharingan from the arm?"

"They were blind, I destroyed them because like you said, they couldn't be healed."

"Hmm, smart girl, when we're done we'll destroy Sasuke and Itachi's too, then that one will be all that's left of their annoying clan, they've caused enough shit for one lifetime with their stupid eyes," he says while pointing at the eye in Danzo's skull.

"Still can't believe you plan on giving that dumbass his eye back, we should just kill him, you could do it super easy with your Rinnegan anyway right, then you'd just go kill his brother and the dumb Akatsuki," Karin whines.

"Yes, then I could just go destroy the hidden villages with an Almighty Push each and the world would still be the same. The Akatsuki have to take the blame for what's coming so Unity can be the glue that binds the world together and show these stupid world leaders that they need each other, I shouldn't have to explain this to you Karin," Jin's voice was a bit more annoyed.

"Sorry, I just. I can see you're tired ya know, the sooner this end the sooner you can stop fighting," she pulls him into a tight hug.

"We've all got a bit more fighting to do, did you finish preparations on Sasuke's Sharingan, that seal I gave you should be invisible to all but me," he asks while returning the hug.

"Yeah, man I wish I could see his face when it happens hehe," her more unsettling side showing a bit.

"Jeez, settle down, let's go meet my friend."

A few hours later both Jin and Karin are sprinting through the trees, her mask now fully covering her face and her hair under a black hood to protect her identity.

As they get closer Jin feels not just Shikamaru, but another familiar presence at the meeting spot.

"Mmmm, what the hell," he grumbles as they begin to approach the area.

Landing in front of Shikamaru on a large branch, both Jin and Karin look at him for a moment as he stares directly at the woman.

"Your contact?"

"Something like that, I told you to come alone..."

"I did," Shikamaru was immediately on alert.

"God damn it, GET YOUR FINE ASS OUT HERE NOW!" Jin yells out in a seemingly random direction.

A moment later Ino appears on the branch in front of them.

"You know I would sense you, this is dumb but you aren't stupid, why are you here?" his voice was a hair away from anger.

"I-Who is SHE?" Ino's eyes narrow as she looks at Karin, eyes taking in her figure.

"I asked you a question Ino," he was definitely annoyed.

For all her annoying persistence, the moment he showed a hint of being upset, she began to pout.

"I didn't wanna just sit back and be useless, I can help," she mutters out.

"Whatever, you're here already so now we're a four-man team for a simple dropoff, get over here so I can fill you guys in," he gestures for Ino to join them for a briefing.

As Ino lands beside them, her eyes stay locked onto Karin.

"Settle down, that's Karin," he explains casually.

"YOUR SISTER?!"

"You've got a sister?" Shikamaru was completely caught off guard by the reveal.

"You told them about me?" Karin was also left in the dark.

"I told Ino."

"Awe, you told your girlfriend about me, cute," removing her mask, Karin gives them both a smile before putting it back on.

"Huh, guess red hair runs in the family then," Shikamaru jokes.

"Not directly related, just loosely via our clan."

"Any more big reveals you wanna drop before we head out?" Ino asks.

"Yeah, a few, we're going after Sasuke."

"You said you wouldn't go kill him unless Naruto fails," Shikamaru's voice was a bit unsure.

"And I still won't, we aren't going to fight, I'm gonna return this," he shows them the small jar with a single floating Sharingan.

"Gross," Ino mutters as she sees it.

"It's pretty cool right!" Karin's voice was a bit excited.

"Anyway, we need to give Sasuke his eye back..."

"Why are you helping the traitor now?" Ino questions.

"Because he wants him to kill Itachi, right?" Shikamaru takes an educated guess.

"Got it in one, he kills Itachi and if he turns on the leaf I kill him, simple," he casually shrugs.

"That explains why this is off the books, if other ninjas, or worse, Naruto, ever found out he'd be pissed, this is making his job a lot harder, and you said Tsunade was cool with this?" Shikamaru questions skeptically.

"This is what she spoke to me about when you went back to check on Asuma, she's confident Naruto will still bring him back, either way, I don't care about their bromance crap, I can still deal with Sasuke if he steps too far out of line, we're just going to give him back the eye and wish him good luck."

"So why bring your sister?" Ino asks what's been on her and Shikamaru's minds.

"I asked to come, I kinda miss being in the field..." Karin quietly admits.

"Huh, well we shouldn't be fighting so it's fine, and if a fight starts Jin's here, alright, let's go..."

And with Shikamaru's words, they began the journey to The Great Naruto Bridge.

"How are you feeling?" Jin asks Ino as they race through the trees.

"Better, I can definitely support but I'm not at full still."

"Sigh, good thing your beautiful princess, otherwise I'd be mad you came knowing you'd be a potential liability..."

"HEY!" she cries out at the offense.

"He's not wrong," Shikamaru adds.

"Headstrong and strong is probably his type...definitely," Karin jokes at her brother's expense.

"Type, wait... WHO ELSE WAS HE WITH LIKE ME?!" Ino screams as she moves closer to Jin.

"Nobody, it was just a kiss so stop worrying, I'm your problem completely," he gives her a small smirk as she glares at him.

"Better be..." she grumbles.

Eventually, they find themselves sitting in a tree a hundred meters away from The Great Naruto Bridge.

"That's kinda pretentious..." Karin jokes as she spots the large sign.

"This is from the mission with the bridge builder guy that he was bragging about?" Ino questions as she takes out a snack.

"Yup, saved the builder and got it named after him, but Sasuke's coming this way, he's a few miles away still and moving slowly."

"How far is your range exactly?" Shikamaru asks.

"At full focus, I can find you three anywhere in the land of fire because of how familiar I am with you, for anyone else, maybe half that. It's not even about range anymore it's about sorting out the people I need to ignore and the person I'm looking for."

"Hmm, so you really could have just gone after Sasuke if Tsunade sensei had put a bounty on him..." Ino realizes.

"I'm not as familiar with him and his chakra is always fluctuating, it's weird but with enough time, it would have been that easy, just run at him and end it, but apparently everyone believes in Naruto so for the sake of not going against my friends, I'll humor Naruto."

"Until Sasuke goes too far?" Shikamaru asks.

"Your sensei is still recovering from that Akatsuki, if Sasuke joins them, would you stop me?"

"I wouldn't stop you now if Sakura didn't love him, I won in our competition of love but she deserves to be happy too," Ino answers first.

"If he joins them, then I'll have no choice but to help you," Shikamaru takes a deep breath, shuddering at the thought of what that would do to Naruto.

"Well I still think we should just kill him now," Karin casually mentions as she munches on a Dango.

"Trust me, I would if Shikamaru didn't ask me to stay my hand..." Jin mutters, earning a small smile from the Nara.

As Sasuke and Suigetsu approach Zabuza's grave to retrieve the blade, Jin can't help but smile.

"I'm just gonna have some fun, don't intervene or you might get hurt..." he casually says before disappearing from beside them.

As Suigetsu places his blade on his back, earning a bored expression looks from Sasuke, he takes one more look at the gravestone before turning back to the Uchiha.

His face freezes.

His eyes are wide open as he looks over Sasuke's shoulder.

With no hesitation, his right hand enlargens as he swings the greatsword seemingly at Sasuke.

Realizing what's happening, Sasuke dashes to the right, allowing the blade to swing through his previous spot.

As he turns around to see the attack, his one eye goes wide as he sees Jin standing casually just behind where he was.

With a bored motion Jin's hand reaches up, empowers by his Asura path he catches the greatswords edge in his palm, his fingers grip the steel as he pulls the weapon, but Suigetsu just got his blade, and he's not letting go.

As Suigetsu and the blade comes forward, Jin spins on his heel and lands what would have been a solid kick, but knowing Suigetsu was all but immune to taijutsu, the moment his foot would land.

'Almighty Push!'

A wave of force slams into Suigetsu, ragdolling him across the ground and into the nearby forest before he breaks the other side of the treeline and lands in the ocean.

"Wow, he's quick with the draw huh," Jin muses as he casually leans backward, narrowly avoiding the thin blade coated in lightning now passing in front of his face.

"ACH!" Sasuke groans as Jin raises a knee to his gut before he can even move past the redhead, knocking the wind out of him.

With a deft motion, Jin grabs Sasuke's face.

*CRACK*

Sasuke's head is embedded into the dirt ground as Jin calmly moves his hand away from the man's face.

"C'mon, is this the strength you betrayed Konoha for?" he taunts.

Sasuke is immediately back on his feet. Lightning sparks to life in his hand and flows down his blade once more.

"Flashy as always huh," Jin frowns slightly at this.

As Sasuke's Sharingan stare's at his visor, Jin can't help but smile at his attempts at genjutsu.

"My chakra is too precise to be influenced by you cyclops," he takes a slight poke at Sasuke's eyepatch.

"Then I'll just use my hands," Sasuke's voice is cold as he rushes forward.

In a mix and punches, kicks, and sword strikes, Jin uses his sage mode to easily evade every strike. Making Sasuke look like the genin he still technically is.

"3 Years just for this?" He punches Sasuke in the face with a cybernetic fist.

His body tumbles across the ground for almost 10 meters before he skids to a stop in a low crouch.

As Sasuke realizes quickly that he's outmatched, he raises a hand to the sky.

"Kir---" his jutsu is cut off by a fist instantly crashing into his throat.

Jin's hand grabs onto his shoulder, rapidly draining his chakra as Sasuke's vision fades to black.

The moment he was deemed any real threat, the fight was ended. He can't help but realize something in this short instant, THAT jutus, it could hurt even Jin, it would be enough...

As Sasuke lays unconscious in a small crater, Jin's friends appear beside him.

"This is what you call having some fun?" Shikamaru asks with a hind of disbelief.

"Meh, he deserves at least this for all the shit he put our friends through."

"Definitely, I'd punch him for Sakura but he's hurt enough," Ino grumbles.

"I'll fix him up, but I still think we should kill him..." Karin mutters as she reaches down to heal his throat.

As Suigetus climbs out of the sea he isn't sure how to react to this situation, but he needs the blade.

"Get your ass over here water boy, we aren't actually gonna kill you guys," Jin gives him a friendly wave, he really didn't have any issue with Suigetsu.

---15 Minutes later...

As Sasuke awoke, he spits up some of the blood in his mouth before quickly sitting up, the short memory of what happened keeping him alert.

Looking up he sees Ino, Shikamaru, and some masked woman sitting on some rocks nearby looking at him casually chatting with Suigetsu.

"Hmm, why aren't you taking me away already?" he asks with no emotion in his voice.

"Because we're here to help you dumbass," Sasuke looks around to see Jin standing behind him.

The redhead casually walks over to his team, completely ignoring Sasuke.

"You? Helping me, what're you playing at?"

"Simple, I want you to kill Itachi, that's all. The Hokage approved this unofficial mission so just shut up and take the help will ya," Jin looks back to see Sasuke every kind of confused.

"And what's the cost?"

"There isn't one, the problem is you'd likely find Itachi before me so I can't just go kill him myself, so we might as well gear you up best we can, personally I'm hoping you both kill each other but that's just a dream of mine, catch."

Sasuke instinctively reaches out to catch the container thrown toward his face. Taking a look at it he sees his Sharingan floating in a preservative.

"This is---"

"The beady red eye I tore out of your treacherous skull, yeah. Figured you'd just die without it so there ya go. Tsunade wants Itachi taken care of as soon as possible so get to it, and just so we're clear, this doesn't end well for you in most cases, alright anything you guys wanna say to him?" Jin looks over to his team, receiving only silence.

"Then we're gone, see ya Mr. Endangered Species," he casually waves as they all flicker away.

"Who the hell was that, and if he shows up again don't expect me to jump in like that, I'm water and I felt like he broke my bones to pieces..." Suigetsu whines as he walks up to Sasuke.

"That was my old rival, Jin Satsujin..." Sasuke mutters as he looks at the jar in his hand.

"The guy who kills Kakazu and fought the one-tailed as a kid, sticking with you is already more trouble than it's worth... get your ass up let's get away from wherever that monster is going..."
