Forming New Village - Hope

With a hum and a white flash, Sam arrived in a random green field, with smoke in the distance.

He stood up and looked around, seeing that he was in a very fertile location with lots of grass and trees in the distance.

Sam began to check his possessions, and saw that he was now wearing basic leather garms, usually worn by normal villagers in this world and a sword and shield both equipped on his person.

He also has a rucksack on him, which has a cubic-meter space inside it allowing him to store many items in such a tight bag.

Inside it was a small token, which had the letter 'R' on it.

'This must be the resource pack, if I crush it then all the resources in the pack will drop on the floor'

He would crush this at a later date, when he forms his settlement.

Inside the rucksack was also the growth accelarator fertilizer, which he leaves untouched also.

'Is that a recently raided village?'

Sam looked in the distance and saw a village on fire and bandits running away in the distance and into the woods.

Sam began heading towards the village, and soon he arrived and saw a bunch of dead bodies being piled up inside a wooden shed and then lit on fire.

"Who are you!? Are you one of them?!" Sam was then approached by a rugged middle-aged dude who instantly grabs him by the neck.

Sam with his hands held high says calmly, "I was just walking by, I don't even know what just happened"

"Bullcrap! You know exactly what happened Bandit! Now Die!" The man pulls out a dagger and was about to stab Sam until a loud voice echoed and reached both of the men's ears.

"ENOUGH!"

The dagger which was in the man's hands then dropped and he turned around with his head held down.

"This man must be apart of that group, you mustn't interact with him elder!"

"I'll be the judge of that, now get the rest of the men and meet at the town's square!"

"Yes elder!"

The village elder then turned to Sam, who was silently dusting himself.

"You aren't part of that bandit group are you?"

"No, elder."

"Then where do you hail from stranger"

Sam pondered, "I hail from far away, and was looking to start a new life here and when I saw this village in smoke I just headed towards it to see what was going on, I am sorry for your losses…"

Sam didn't want to say he was from Earth, but he doesn't know the surrounding landscape yet so he couldn't give an exact answer.

"From far away you say… well as you can see, this village is now destroyed. We are devastated, many of our men, women and children were killed in this raid, and with no home to go to, we are going to become refugees and head to other settlement. You came at a bad time stranger!"

Sam who heard the system notification had his eyebrows raised and then looked at the elder villager before him.

"What if I rebuild everything, we start from scratch as a village!"

"Hahaha… that is some joke you have stranger. Look around us, it is just an empty plain with burnt down building! What could you offer to save this place!"

"I wish to make this my settlement!"

[[SYSTEM NOTIFICATION: Settlement founded! Removal of debris in progress….]]]

Soon, a translucence glow then appeared on the village, startling everyone.

Everything that was destroyed began to disappear, and the system even buried the dead in a land further away from the settlement which could be seen by Sam and the others.

"What… what are you? Are you a god?"

"No sir, I am now the new leader of this village, and I promise you that I shall provide you with the best home possible!"

The village elder with his mouth agape turned around to see the others staring at Sam with awe.

Sam looked at the ten men and five women with a smile on his face and stood in front of them.

"You may make a choice, you can become refugees or you can help me fix this village and grow it into a town, into a city even! All I need is your help, and with my powers I may help you gain stronger with me also!"

Everyone who heard Sam's words then knelt on the ground, "We shall join you Lord!"

"Village elder, what was this village called previously?"

"Well, we were called Dunkirst Village! But we aren't too attached to a name that was given to us by the kingdom."

Sam pondered, "What would you name this home of yours, after all I just arrived here."

The village elder and the rest of the villagers began to think also of a name.

One villager who looked dead inside had the courage to step forward towards Sam, "How about we name it after my child, Hope…"

Sam nodded his head, "I am once again sorry for your loss, and I promise you those bastard Bandits will have it coming in the future, and with that I wish to name this village Hope, do you agree?"

The villagers nodded, and some cried.

Village Lord: Sam Hope (Hope is now your official last name in this world as you didn't provide one to the system)

Village Size: 1st Class Village

How size work as a Lord is pretty simple.

You start out as a 1st Class Village, and you begin with only a certain amount of buildings and army size, and there is 3 tiers before evolving into a higher rank.

Sam looks around the village and smiles at the village elder before him.

"Looks like we got a lot of work to do now eh?"

The village elder in return smiles and bows his head, "Whatever you command, we shall listen!"

The man who tried to stab Sam then walked up to Sam and knelt to the ground with his eyes red in tears.

"I thought you was a bandit… but you gave my kids a proper burial, something I couldn't do… whatever you wish from me, I shall do my Lord!"

Sam smiled and thanked the system in his heart for burying the dead villagers, he pats the man's shoulder and tells him to get up.

"First order of business, let us rebuild the homes!"

"Yes sir!"
