Ethan listened closely to Aywin's conversation and quickly understood the situation. It was the typical scenario: the leader died, Aywin was likely the intended successor, but someone schemed to take her place while she was injured and missed the opportunity. After hearing the exchange, Ethan knew a fight was inevitable.
"Swoosh!"
Just then, an arrow flew through the air, piercing the drow elf holding the black jade staff.
"Enemy attack!"
The situation unfolded so quickly that Aywin and the other drow didn't even have time to react. They could only scramble for cover. At the same time, another group of drow elves stormed the village. Leading them were three female drow, each dressed in a different robe: one in red, one in black, and the last in purple. Each held a staff, clearly indicating they were magic users.
