Distribution of spoils

Bian, Han Yan, Man Tian and the silver fox stood in the Spirit Shelter of moment queen atop a purple mountain, seven life geno essence were placed in front of them.

"The silver fox can only absorb lightning based life essence. The Qi family should already be working on a new creation called pet pills, when I go back to the alliance, I will invest in their company and bring a batch for the silver fox" Bian said as he caressed the silver fox.

"The two life geno essence you brought should be given to Man Tian" Bian said while facing Han Yan. "The steel-knight life geno essence belongs to you."

"That wasn't the deal we agreed on"

"Well there has been a change of plans. Since the steel knight was the only second generation super creature then its only fair that you take its life essence while I consume the rest.

Plus the stronger you get, the faster we can hunt more super creatures" With reasoning that sound even Han Yan could not refute.

Bian took the life essence of the four legged snake, winged tiger and silver gorilla. Although they were first generation super creatures, with his gene lock and mental point targeting he could deduce their energy flow and absorb the life essence.

"The life essence of the mist creature also has to be given to Man Tian. I wasn't close enough to observe its energy flow during the battle"

Man Tian had three life essence, Han Yan had one and Bian had three. They sat in a circle as they each used their own method to absorb the life essence.

Han Yan simulated the energy flow of the steel knight, the green life essence in her hands melted into her body greatly enhancing her fitness.

Bian used mental point targeting to observe the blurred energy flow of the four legged snake. Although he only saw it for a brief moment with mental point targeting he never needed to worry about short periods of time for observations.

His gene lock came into play as his enhanced mind deciphered the energy flow of the four legged snake with great precision. His instincts aided him even more by preventing any possible mistakes which could be fatal while mimicking the energy flow of the creature, soon the brown life essence liquified into his body greatly boosting his constitution.

Man Tian held the misty white life geno essence of the mist creature. Somewhere in his sea of soul a translucent mist creature appeared, its strength had fallen to that of a sacred-blood creature.

The creature quickly released mist to distract the several beasts surrounding it, but the super beast soul of the wasp was faster as it flew towards it and stung it repeatedly unto death. Man Tian stood by the side like a spectator, he didn't even need to move before the creature was finished off by his beast souls

All this happened in the blink of an eye as in the real world the misty-white life essence diffused into his skin greatly enriching his being.

Blood was thickened, bones were strengthened and muscles bulged with new found power. After absorbing the life geno essences, everyone got a huge boost to their strength, especially Bian and Man Tian.

Looking at his stats Bian nodded with satisfaction. With his increasing physique he should expect to experience more blackouts as his body was now closer to accommodating his third gene lock.

Sadly no matter how close it got, an evolver simply could not handle three gene locks. The sooner he evolved the better lest he actually blacks out during a deadly fight.

"On to the next order of business" Man Tian said bringing Bian out of his stupor.

"Right, the distribution of beast souls. We acquired a total of five beast souls, luckily the super creature killed by the Angel also gave me a beast soul.

Thanks to the both of you for stalling the super creatures long enough for me to finish them off. I think its fair to give the sword of the steel knight to Han Yan"

Although the marble katana was a berserk sacred-blood weapon and was augmented by a super beast soul, it broke in her second round against the steel knight just before the Holy Angel finished off the mist creature and went to her aid.

Han Yan accepted the armament of the steel knight and with the simulated energy flow of the creature, she could deal more damage than usual.

"Alright, I also got some beast souls on my previous escapades. I will say all the beast souls and you should raise your arms if it suits your needs" Honestly speaking, Bian didn't really need a beast soul to fight off against super creatures especially now that his fitness was so close to completion.

An Aura beast soul from a white tiger which greatly enhances all other beast souls

A humanoid pet possession beast soul from the steel knight which only augments well... humanoid pets

Bian said names they could easily relate to instead of calling the actual names of all the creatures. Man Tian chose the beast souls of the spider-monkey, silver gorilla and the winged tiger.

Han Yan chose the beast soul of the four legged snake, mist creature and sky fairy mermaid. Bian was left with the beast soul of the white tiger and that of steel knight.

"I am surprised you chose the body add-on beast soul" Bian said to Man Tian

"I would rather have several body add-on beast soul as passive boosts while I'm fighting. Although my fitness has greatly improved, it is still less than that of the silver gorilla. I just have to watch out for my ears."

"So you plan to use the silver gorilla as an ultimate transformation. Then I think its better you take the white general beast soul as well. Just imagine transforming into a three meter tall gorilla while surrounded by a white aura, destroying everything with your fists like an unstoppable monster.

Also while I didn't dare use yin or yang energy due to our different physiology your martial arts skill will boost the damage dealt by the silver ape. Since you're using it as an ultimate transformation you might as well go all the way with the power output." Although Bian had easily defeated the silver gorilla that was because he knew of its weakness beforehand and used some clever and nimble tactics.

"There is just no pleasing you" Unable to argue with his sound logic, Man Tian accepted the white general beast soul. With the distribution of the spoils of combat completed, Man Tian returned to the sanctuaries while Bian moved closer to Han Yan.

"What is it?" noticing his gaze on her chest, she asked with a cautious expression while putting her hands up to cover her prized possessions.

"I am a little bit curious about the nine-life cat pendant" Bian answered seemingly oblivious to his piercing gaze.

Han Yan stretched her white hands behind her dress and brought out the nine-life cat pendant. Handing the pendant over to Bian she added, "The pendant was left by my great grandfather Han Jingzhi, I don't know much about it"

Holding up a red pendant which looked like a cross between a cat and a fox, Bian had a thoughtful expression on his face.

"Hey! are you good?" Han Yan asked Bian with a worried expression, he was just sitting there dazed and unresponsive to her words.

"Yeah, I'm good" Bian rubbed his forehead, judging by her expression, he must have been out of it for a while in thought. He slapped his cheeks to regain some focus.

"The pendant actually has another use. It is an artifact belonging to blood legion which can allow people to cultivate the blood pulse sutra. After my whole fiasco being kidnapped by that giant bird, I encountered some members of blood legion who had a modified version of the blood pulse sutra.

I had completely forgotten about it until my fight against moment queen, I mimicked an energy flow of a giant parasitic tree I encountered" Bian simulated the energy flow of the thorned menace which caused his hair to thicken and stand on edge.

"Whoa!" Han Yan said in astonishment as she poked a hair strand, the hair easily pierced her skin and siphoned a bit of her blood. She quickly pulled back her finger in shock, before looking at the hair strand which had turned blood red.

Bian hurriedly ceased the simulation before the blood could be delivered into his system, "This is why I wanted to borrow your pendant, now I can practice the blood-refine sutra to refine random blood as it gets assimilated into my system."

Bian sat cross legged and placed his arms together in a lotus position. The nine-life cat pendant was on his palms.

"Your hair becomes incredibly sharp, capable of piercing the flesh of super creatures. The blood-refine sutra is to help you deal with the blood getting into your system" Han Yan said, receiving an affirmative nod from Bian.

Using mental point targeting, Bian explored his memories. From when he was taken by the cruel shrike, till when he reached Blacktooth shelter. He found the memory of when he looked through the blood-refine sutra.
