"If she dies now there will be no more Stephanie Woods in this world for you to hate. You lost her once in the past and it took you seventeen years to find her. This time around you will search for her your entire life but you will never find her..." Gabrielle trailed off.
"Each time you remember that you could have done something to save her, the pain will be heartwrenching, it will feel as if your heart was ripped out of your chest," Gabrielle replied. She reached out her right hand and caressed his leg.
"Think about what I have said and you will realise that your resentment is nothing compared to the pain of losing her forever," She concluded and stood up from the bed. Gabrielle took a long stare at him before she turned and exited the room.
