Settling down

"Bring it on," he taunted with a wild smile. His energy was getting replenished at a high rate and with a yell stomped his foot on the ground sending rocks across the area. He had done it perfectly disrupting the tentacles attack. "Third form of the heaven-defying technique! Vortex slash!" A large whirlwind filled with a large amount of energy was formed.

The energy expanded destroying several tentacles leaving an opening for him. 'The vortex slash is a large area attack, one that's quite powerful.'

He charged forward his sword finding its first victim. His sword was stabbed into its head and with his ignite skill, he blew it off killing it.

He dodged the incoming tentacles and once again was onto his next victim. Its head was separated from its body, Will kicked off the ground with flames erupting from his legs arriving at the third.

"First formation of the heaven-defying technique! Flowing force!" He slashed upwards and the beast fell its body separating into two.

The tentacles had reduced granting him easy navigation. He leapt high creating air platforms which he used in dodging the tentacles.

"Second form of the heaven-defying technique! Raging force!" Will exclaimed and struck down. Flames converged around him along with his qi, he struck down utterly destroying the other one.

Now, it's just you and me, he said looking at the last one.

"When did he become so... strong?" Dren muttered as he watched the battle unfolding.

"This guy..." Garrick was speechless seeing the display of power, "he's truly a monster.He exceeded my grading... is this truly one that couldn't use his abilities years ago?"

Will walked slowly cutting the tentacles, around him was a wind barrier protecting him from the acid. The tentacles were no longer regenerating rapidly as the beast was already low on energy.

He raised his sword forward and the tip began to glow, a bright beam of flames shot out at high speed leaving a huge hole at the center of its head.

The beast crashed with a thud the field suddenly in silence. The rest had finished their battle also and were watching his display of power.

Will looked towards them with a smile and them waved his hands.

"Shit! The aftermath has began," he cursed as he bared his teeth as he felt overwhelming pain. He fell down on his knees holding his chest.

"Are you alright?" Dren asked appearing by his side. "C'mon let me help you," he said stretching his hand. Will grabbed onto the hand and walked towards the metal door.

After some minutes the pain finally stopped. "So... here's no longer save thanks to me," he said with an awkward smile. "C'mon let's get out from here, we'll share it when we find a good place."

Garrick had only nodded his head as he watched Will stored the lot in his spatial ring. "What if they decide to cheat us," One of them asked with a frown. "Shut up!" Garrick shouted a vein propping on his head. "I believe he's better than that."

They all sped through the barren ground and within minutes were within the canopy of trees. Just a few moments after they had left, a large creature burst through from the ground. Its diamond like tentacles spread far impaling the dead beasts strewn across the expanse and soon the little energy left after the crystal had been removed began passing through its tentacles.

"This will do," Garrick suggested. They stood before a dense canopy of trees forming some sort of cover. Will had scanned the area making sure no beast was around the area. They had moved round and decided to settle down at the edge of the center of the forest.

"Hey, Zine... make the place look nice." A young guy with muddy brown hair and a muscular physique walked forward and then placed his hand on the ground.

"He has the earth ability and he's quite the talented one," Garrick said as the guy slowly transformed the ground, forming some sort of a little underground cave.

"This will do, come on inside." They all walked into the cave like structure. He had made sure to make the space wide enough to contain all with each having their own space.

Will walked to the centre and then dumped the crystals they had looted onto the ground. "Like I said... we take half while you guys can keep the rest." Few minutes later, they had shared it equally without any trouble.

Will and his group of two had gone over to the ending of the room to distribute their crystals.

"OK guys... This is it." He emptied it on the ground. "The ability shard, I successfully collected the ones with our abilities. I'll take all the wind shards and a little of the fire shards. There are only a few shadow shards, which would be of use to you. The energy crystals we're going to share it equally among ourselves."

With that they all took their shares amd headed to their own space. "I'm f*cking tired," with a yawn he lay on the platform which served as bed.

He lay looking at the ceiling. System interface.

Looking at his skills he then checked his inventory. He remembered the spatial yellow stone he had received after successfully landing a hit on his master. With his analyse skill, he read through it once again.

[ Yellow spatial card: When activated host can use the card to travel to another dimension where he shall receive a quest. Completing the quest would grant host special rewards by the system ]

[ There are more card with yellow being the lowest rank. The cards are: Yellow card, blue card, purple card and red card ]

"I wasn't able to use it then because of time and space... also I was weak. But what about now," he thought. "Am I strong enough? Will I be able to complete the quest, I'm pretty sure the system would reward me with amazing stuff."

Sigh. "Maybe not now, I don't think I'm strong... I need to train harder and become strong enough to handle whatever situation that comes my way. It's best if I rest for now," he said with a yawn. He closed his eyes and slowly drifted into slumber.

Within the area several groups had been formed and had marked some areas as theirs. The second years placed with them had all banded together forming a group.

The first years were just settling down and a large gathering was taking place. Those from the four regions had spread out and had begun to mark their territory. The first day of the assessment a few casualties had occurred already.

There were few who had refused to become part of the gathering of sort and one was currently battling a humongous monster with spikes across its back.

Blue lightning wrapped around him forming an armour as he charged forward. He held a large spear which was enshrouded in lightning and was giving out a loud crackle.

Swinging the spear he had blocked the claws of the monster and with a slide he tore through the thick hide of the beast. Leaping high, he brought down his spear with extreme force, slamming it on the head of beast.

It gave out a painful roar momentarily down from the immense clash. Issaiah didn't let this opportunity waste as he activated one of his lightning arts. Covered in blinding bilt of lightning he swung his spear down with sparks of lightning around the spear keeping the beast down.

"It's head was cut out and its eyes lost their shine. "Where did that guy enter?" He thought as he kept his weapon. He removed the crystal and proceeded to check one last time before he retired for the day.

It was already night time and he believed the beasts would be most active during the night. Soon it began to rain with the rumbling of thunder and the sky being lit up by lightning.

With a sigh, "it's decided then, I better find somewhere to spend the night. I believe he's able to take care of himself." After a while moving about he discovered a little cave over a mountain top and had decided to spend the night there.
