General Tao finally receives the note which they had been waiting eagerly. He immediately gathers his troop and informs them that they were finally going to march inside the capital. Following his lead each soldier were moving forward with gleaming weapons and glee on their faces.
The men inside were very quick and nimble and having disguised as guards were now waiting for their army to appear. They had managed to make some guards unconscious from drug while some were killed and shoved in cold rooms.
Soon they heard the sound of the hooves and were quick to open the gates. General Tao upon entering the capital gives a war cry and together with his army start the chaos. The commoners and venders on streets finally realize they were under attack and thus shout and scream each running for their lives.
The soldiers under general Tao had already started to burn the shops and houses. Those who were near their blade were striked mercilessly. General Tao with his main force was speeding towards the palace on their way they collided with the royal guards starting their battle.
The guards were taken by the element of suprise were outnumbered and slained with ease. General Tao proudly heads towards the palace and finds bulk of soldiers waiting to resist their entry infront of the palace gates.
He laughs and mocks at those soldiers for their emperor was already dead and they were just protecting the bricks and woods. The soldiers though anxious still remained preparing for the battle.
It took some time but they managed to enter the palace. They even killed the servants running for shelter leaving blood trail on their way. Finally they reach the long stairs connected to the royal court hiding the palace behind.
Screams and smell of blood filled the air while general Tao now on his feet with sword on his hand was climbing the stairs with glee. He was welcomed by one of their men which informs that they had managed to kill the entire royal family who were praying inside the ancestral shrine.
Pleased from the news general Tao laughs and mocks Nanling for being so easy and weak. He then instructs the man to take him to the shrine so that he can behead the emperor and empress and
present their heads as a gift for their own emperor.
He also informs his old time assistant to send their news of victory back to huajin so that the next step would be taken immediately. He also informs his men to fly their army's banner and wander throughout the capital to declare their victory.
Passing his orders General Tao heads towards the shrine lead by the man. Upon receiving their order each of them immediately began their task. The majestic banner of Nanling was teared and burned while replaced by their own army banner.
The men in horses started to shout loudly that General Tao has taken the capital and all the royal members had been killed. The commoners were in fear and tears from the news. While the officials were in daze from the current situation.
They were still in disbelief that their capital has been invaded by their old time nemesis which had retired years ago from the battlefield. They couldn't believe that the entire royal family were massacred. They now could only hope and prey for their valiant generals to come back and drive these invaders out of their country.
Their hopes and pray was crushed to powder when another piece of news was relayed by the enemy soldiers. They said that crown prince Pei Jin and great general Chen were killed in Xuzhou. Helpless, fear, tragedy were the emotions that overwhelmed them.
