Alone

Inside the dense forest Yusheng had her bow drawn to the deer. Pei Jin and Pei Zhang by her side was watching calmly as she let the arrows fly and stabs into the deer.

Pei Zhang really wanted to go along in his own path but could only obey after being called by his brother. Pei Jin also was not particularly fond of tagging along with his brother but he could only helplessly nod when the idea was from Yusheng.

Five steps back from them was also their cousins from duke household who were also called. The youngest cousin Chen Zhi along with his brother Chen yun marches to grab the kill.

Just as they were about to leave they hear a roar of tiger. Leaving the two to handle the kill the rest four heads towards the direction where the roar came from. Yusheng who had turned her mental consciousness had already marked the tiger's place.

They were 20 steps back from the tiger who was roaring. It seemed that it was a tigress that was about to give birth. Yusheng raises her palm to stop anyone from attacking the tigress. It was a pure white tigress looking very beautiful and majestic.

Seeing that the tigress was in great pain Yusheng uses her qigong to reach near the tiger. Pei Jin wanted time follow but was stopped by her earlier. Thus he anxiously sits on his horse his body in high alert to jump if the tigress attacks.

The tigress trying to protect itself and its unborn cub roars at the invasion. Yusheng calmly raises her hand to show she was not an enemy. From her spatial ring she takes out a blanket used by bao bao. The tigress smelling the scent of bao somewhat relaxes but her body was still in crouched in alert position.

Without wasting anytime Yusheng throws her divine needles to paralise the tigress. Afterwards she very gently pats the big head and whispers soothing words. Half an hour later Yusheng had the male cub extracted from tigress and patched her belly.

Giving the cub a nice rub with wet towel she places it near the tigress. The tigress licks her cub and gives soft roar to Yusheng as she was thanking. The scene was warm for onlookers. Yusheng made sure that the tigress and cub was healthy and turns to head toward her horse.

Pei Jin smiles at her "ever the doctor aren't you?." while Yusheng gives a bright smile "hmm.. i was just pulled in by her roar.. even though I am out here for hunt but her distress made me wanted to rather protect her.."

Pei Zhang zipped his mouth shut but he couldn't help but give thumbs up to his sister in law. As they were about to return Pei Jin turns back and creates a shield for the tigress and cub for protection. The creature his beloved saved no one should kill was his belief.

Just as they mounted on their horse Zan comes to report "wangye... duke Taiwen has requested your presence.. it seems that emperor also wanted to join the hunt.. so duke has requested your presence to advise the emperor"

Pei Jin with a black face snarls "what is he upto?.. this hunt is for the younger ones.. he just needs to sit and eat.. even that has become boring for him.."

Yusheng laughs and gives light pats on his back "just go and handle the situation.. we will be around the same area"

Pei Zhang wanted to follow his brother as he didn't want to spend time with her. This equally moody person may hang him in the forest. Before he could open in mouth his brother was gone while Yusheng was looking him. Her gaze made him clamp his lips.

"I do not eat people" says Yusheng to Pei Zhang who was clearly scared of her. "No..no.. sister in law.. I never said that.."immediately replies Pei Zhang making her laugh.

"Well.. then you could be more relaxed..you always seem to be on edge when I am around.. people might think I am bullying my brother in law.." says Yusheng while riding on her horse to another path.
