March 1st, 2012

March 1st, 2012. This day marked the first day of White Rose's court case. All of the people in the courtroom believed that it was going to be a quick and easy case.

Zuhn was brought to the courtroom in all sorts of shackles. He had chains on his hands and on his legs. He was escorted by ten police officers, that all had batons in their hands with riot helmets on. The officers weren't taking any chances with the teen killer.

Zuhn was seated on the left side of the courtroom. He didn't have any lawyers around him. He was sitting down with his hands in his lap, looking at the judge.

"Court is now in session!" The judge hammered his mallet.

Everyone became quiet and looked at Zuhn. The judge began to speak about what Zuhn was being charged with.

"Zuhn Sheng, You are being charged with 100 counts of 1st-degree murder. How do you plead?"

Zuhn was still looking at the judge and spoke, "Not guilty."

The judge knew that this was going to be his answer and preceded.

"Zuhn Sheng, it looks like you don't have a lawyer. Meaning, you are going to self-defend?"

"That's correct."

All of the victim's families spoke about what had happened and why they believe Zuhn is the killer. It took a total of two full days in court for all the families to speak.

March 3rd, 2012

It was starting to be the end of the case. It was time for Zuhn to defend himself from the evidence of the court. The judge was quite emotional after hearing all of the stories from the victim's families.

It was now time for Zuhn to defend himself.

"Zuhn please come up to the stand."

Zuhn was escorted up to the stand, the courtroom was dead silent. Only the metal chains making a sound as Zuhn made his way to the stand. When Zuhn made his way to the stand, he looked out to the crowd. Emotion filled everyone's face in the crowd, anger, sadness.

Before Zuhn began to speak he let out a short laugh.

"I have to say, your stories about how I killed your family was amazing. I never thought you guys would be able to remember. Haha. Judge, I killed every one of those people."

The families that were sitting got up and tried to rush the stand. They were stopped by the police lined up, blocking them from moving forward.

"Order! Order!"

The judge slammed his mallet. Zuhn continued to speak after the court became quieter.

"Right before I was about to kill someone, I would see their hope in their eyes fade away. It was always the best feeling, I wish I could still be out there." Zuhn finished speaking and went into a chaotic laughing fit.

The judge got the court quite again.

"Zuhn Sheng, have you just admitted to the murders of all 100 people?"

Zuhn didn't say anything, he just kept looking at the families in front of him and smiled. The judge sent the jury back to make their decision. It only took the jury twenty minutes to come up with their verdict.

The jury came back and sat down. The head juror stood up with a piece of paper in his hands.

"We the jury have reached a verdict, your honor."

The judge nodded his head for the juror to continue.

"We the jury find the defendant Zuhn Sheng, guilty on all counts of 1st-degree murder!"

Everyone in the crowd started to cheer and scream as they were going to have closure over the deaths of their loved ones.

*Bam*

The judge kept hammering his mallet to make the crowd become silent. Once everyone calmed down, the juror started to speak once again.

"We the jury also have a unanimous vote to sentence Zuhn Sheng to death by lethal injection."

Zuhn stayed emotionless after hearing that he was going to be killed. The crowd and the media on the hand started to have a frenzy. People were excited and people were relieved. The media quickly scrambled to move their cameras on Zuhn's face. They wanted to see his reaction to him being sentenced to death.

Zuhn didn't much care to the fact that he was going to be killed. He was already really thrilled with the whole experience up to this point. He already had the time of his life. Killing countless people and gaining so much attention from the whole country.

Zuhn was moved out of the courthouse by multiple guards, they all cleared the path out of the courthouse to a small police van outside. A hole was made in the police line. One of the victims family members rushed in and started to beat Zuhn.

Some of the escorts around Zuhn let it happen for a couple of seconds then decided to break it up. Zuhn was left on the ground defenseless with blood streaming down his nose and mouth. Then media zoomed in on his face, but he was still smiling and laughing under his breath.

The escort of officers pushed Zuhn through the crowd and into the van. There were four police officers in the back waiting for him. Zuhn was placed in the middle of the four people. He was strapped up tightly, there were more metal chains added to him. The four officers in the back were all armed. They were also wearing ski masks to hide their faces.

When the van got to the prison, Zuhn was placed in Pod B. This part of the prison was for the most dangerous people. There were only five total cells in the whole pod. Each one of the cells was only 6-by-8 feet. These cells were special, they had four cameras in each corner of the cell too.

This stopped prisoners from trying to find ways around the camera to make weapons or hide contraband. When the officers reach Zuhn's cell they unchained most of the cuffs and threw him inside.

Inside Zuhn's cell was a small toilet and a metal bed. He didn't have access to anything that he could make a weapon from. Every day the officers brought a tray with food. But just threw it on the ground and left.

I rewrote this chapter, it was quite confusing to follow. Nothing really big changed, just small details.

I will be rewriting a couple of chapters after this one.
