Chapter 126 : Promise to keep it on me.

" I'll take it off your hands ", Nectar only squinted her eyes, " You're trying to embarrass me, aren't you "? Luscious made a confused face, " Why would you even think that "? Nectar shrugged, turning the thing over in her hands " Just a thought. Why would you want it anyway "?

Luscious snatched it from her and turned it over in his hand, " It's odd, I like what you make and you looked so disappointed, it was gut wrenching. So, I'll keep it ". Nectar couldn't help but laugh, " I'm gonna let that insult I know was in there go and thank you for the compliment ".

Luscious nodded, pocketing the carving when Nectar looked at him seriously " But on one condition ". Luscious resisted the urge to roll his eyes as he nodded, " Always keep it on you ". It was Luscious' turn to blink in a daze, " What silly condition is that "?

Nectar shrugged and held out her hand, " Fine then, give it back. I'll turn to powder instead ". Luscious sighed, " You couldn't let us have a normal conversation for five minutes. Five ". Nectar rolled her eyes, " Those are my terms ".

Luscious held the reigns tighter as he thought of it and nodded, " Fine ". Nectar stared at him, " I'm waiting, say it ". Luscious frowned slightly, " Say what "?

Nectar glared at him, as if surprised by his feigning ignorance, " Nisragese are known for their unique bloodline that allows them shape shift into any animal form they want. The only thing that never changes is their word. So I want you to promise me that you'll always have it on you ".

Luscious' brow twitched slightly and muttered under his breath, " You really make it hard to find you loveable ". Nectar tilted her head to the side, " What was that Luscious "? Luscious snapped out of it and smiled, " Fine then, I promise to keep this...um...snake whatever with me always ".

Nectar perked up again as she collected a purple stone from Fauna and encased it in water, " Thank you. I'm curious about something though ". Luscious sighed, leaning forward on his horse, " What "?

" Where did you even come from "? Luscious raised an eyebrow as he looked at her, " You've been staring ahead for a while now. Guess you didn't notice the carriages behind you ". Nectar glanced behind her and saw Axis and the other Verflog carriages.

" I'm sorry, I've got a lot on my mind so I didn't even notice ". Luscious shrugged, " No problem and I even got stuck with new jewelry ". Nectar only laughed, collecting another stone " Thank you again for taking it off my hands ".

Luscious nodded while Nectar went back to ignoring him as she began carving again, " What else do you want, you keep staring at me ". Luscious coughed, obviously embarrassed he'd been caught " The thing is, I'd like to ask a favor ".

Nectar glanced at him as she passed the butterfly back in to the carriage, " What "? Luscious glanced behind him, " Archie and Lucy wanted to know if you'd make them whatever it is you're doing. They're the main reason I'm here ".

Nectar instantly beamed, turning in her seat " You should have said so earlier, my lil prince ". Nectar steered Rampage around and looked at Luscious sternly, " You stay here, I'll be right back ". Luscious frowned and opened his mouth to protest but Nectar held up her hand, " Stay here ".

Luscious found himself nodding in agreement as he rode closer to the carriage. Nectar looked at him till she turned completely towards Axis and spoke cheerfully and waved one hand over her head, " Good morning Lord Axis. Lovely dawn, isn't it? Don't look like you're not happy I'm here ".
