Kerchunk…. Kerchunk….the sounds the train made as it passes through the tunnel.

Song Ye opened her eyes immediately and the blinding light entered her eyes. The movement and the shaking of the train on the railway, under her body made her feel bewildered for a moment.

She was supposed to be unconscious and in the face of an explosion under the sea, so how come she's here in the blink of an eye?

"Ssst…"

She raised her hand and rubbed her throbbing forehead and was surprised; not minding the heaviness in her head, she looked at her hands, feeling shocked.

When the explosion happened under the sea, she clearly remembered that her hands were blasted into smithereens, but right now, in front of her eyes, were a pair of small hands that were in perfect condition. That's right, for someone who was near their thirties working as an assassin who had taken numerous lives and faced uncountable hardships in her life, the hands in front of her did not overlap with the ones in her memory. 

The hands in front of her belonged to someone whose age was approximately 15 to 16 years old.

Suddenly, she felt something was off and touched her face. The small bone structure, youthful and bouncy skin made her heart jumped.

This was not her!

Song Ye creased her brow, the icy gaze under the fringe looked around carefully.

Just now, she thought that she was brought onto the train by the organization, but after a careful observation of her surroundings, everything felt off.

The facilities of this train feels old – the seats, like back in the days, were all made from wood; the clothing of the people passing by, looks old-fashioned; the posters found in the coach were cartoon drawing that showed praises towards the motherland, the date on the poster was…. Song Ye widen her eyes and stood up in surprise, staring at the date on the poster without moving her eyes away.

Since she stood up so suddenly, she felt dizzy and could only lean on the wall of the coach to stand properly. Moving her eyesight to her leg, she stopped and look at an army-green bag. The things in the bag were all dumped out, looking messy and tattered, but the school badge and the information written on it could be seen clearly on the bag.

Junior High 3rd Year 5th Class, Song Ye.

At that moment, Song Ye completely blanked out.

"Oi, Song Ye, who allowed you to stand up? Squat down now!"

When she was in a state of shock, an arrogant voice of a young girl suddenly appeared.

Song Ye looked at the source of the voice and saw three girls that had walked up to her at some point of the time. Wearing a cotton shirt and floral patterned pants with two plaits behind their head, making them appear to be very old-fashioned and ugly. Following the appearance of these people, they had proven the answer to what Song Ye had guessed.

Tang Mei Ling, Zhu Shan, Zheng Feng, or also known as San Zhong Three Beauties had played an important role in Song Ye's school life, of course, it was more on the negative side.

From what Song Ye remembered, she had never seen the faces of these three girls for the past 15 years.

That is to say, at this moment, the place she's currently in, was on the train taking them on their the graduation trip 15 years ago, which was also the place where her life completely changed.

God had made a huge joke out of her. Letting her face hardships for the past 30 years and then ended her life under the sea to then reverse time back to 15 years ago. Were they asking her to reminisce about her past or asking her to make choices all over again?

She slightly narrowed her eyes, a cold glint flashed through her eyes. No matter if this was just a dream or not, by giving her a second chance, she won't be the coward and weak Song Ye again.

"Oi, Song Ye, are you deaf? I told you to squat down and don't be a nuisance to us, didn't you hear me?"

Looking at Song Ye standing there not moving at all, Tang Mei Ling's face darkened, her voice sounded like knives scrapping against plates as it passes through the coach.

The passengers around didn't care about what seemed to be children fooling around, each of them sleeping or lying around with only a few of them opened their eyes and watched.

Song Ye returned to her senses, her icy cold gaze stared at the faces of the three of them. If she was not mistaken, in the graduation trip of junior high for 3rd years, Tang Mei Ling trio had planned in advance to teach her a lesson. In the whole trip, she was either hit or scolded by them. Upon boarding the train, she was chased to the back of the train and was made to squat down, making her the laughing stock to everyone. To which caused her to be late when getting off the train and seperated from the group, kidnapped by the human traffickers and completely disappeared from the school.

Thinking about these 15 year-old kids, because of their small prank that had caused her to have a miserable life for 15 years, Song Ye's heart felt cold, her gaze became even colder.

Being stared at like that, Tang Mei Ling couldn't help but feel shocked and scared, but the arrogant attitude that she had towards Song Ye had been rooted deeply into her, albeit forced, made her calm herself down. Raising her nose and continuing to shriek,

"Keep your disgusting eyesight back, Song Ye. If you don't do as I say, I will make you suffer when we return to school."

There's still one semester left until the high school entrance examination, she can, for sure, make Song Ye suffer a few more rounds.

If it was the Song Ye 15 years ago, she would have felt so scared that her legs wouldn't stop trembling and did as she was told cowardly. But it was a pity for them, as the one that stood before them was the Song Ye that had became an assassin for 15 years that wouldn't even bat an eye when she was killing people. She felt nothing at this level of threat.

If they wanted to play, then she will play with them all they want.

A light shimmered in her eyes for a moment, Song Ye turned around and ducked into the toilet beside her, looking as if she was running away due to fear.

The three facing her earlier were surprised for a moment and snickered. A smile forming on her face, Tang Mei Ling walked over without minding anything,

"Still dare to run? Today I will let you know, how it feels when your prayers can never reach the skies. Go, drag her out of there."

At this age, students tend to imagine themselves as a boss, bullying someone as weak as Song Ye allowed them to have a satisfying feeling of vanity. Feeling that way, Tang MeiLing felt her confidence reached new heights than before.

But in the next second, while they were standing in front of the toilet entrance, the train passed through a tunnel at that exact moment, making the surrounding darkened in an instant. Her hand that was reaching out to grab the knob felt empty. She blanked out in confusion, there was a sudden force that pulled her into the toilet. Not only her, Zhu Shan and Zheng Feng was also pulled into the toilet as well.

At the time when the three of them were still in a state of confusion, Clunk Clank, all of a sudden, something hit them hard on the head. It was so painful they cried for their dad and mom,

"Ouch! It hurts! What was that? Stop! Ouch…."

Too bad for them, no matter how much they screamed, the echo and noise of the train passes through the tunnel had covered their screams. With their head being hit to the point of swelling, the three pushed each other around in the narrow toilet; they either stepped on each other's foot or hit their own heads against each other. When the train was about to exit the tunnel, the three of them magnificently fainted.

Song Ye exited the toilet and smoothly stuck a book on the knob, she then turn around as if nothing happened and threw the wooden scoop aside. The scoop was left to be used in the toilet, who would've thought that it could be used like that conveniently. It was only a slight exercise and her arms felt tired. With that in mind, she had decided to train herself upon returning. Her difference in strength now and her ability in her past life was too much of a gap.

Although she didn't want to be a puppet-like assassin, Song Ye still knew how dark the world can be, and the best way to survive was by relying on herself. Looking at the sights that passed by through the window, the supposedly cold face couldn't help but let out a smile.

Since she was able to control her life for a second time, this time, she won't be defeated that easily.
