For the rest of the week , Lin Lin and her family worked in the field like usual and eat three meals at home .

On the beginning of the new week , lin lin Woke up when the sky is still dark and decided to go to the village leader to ask for a leave so that she can go to town .

She needed to start making money . Her siblings and Cousins need to go to school.

Moreover, she wants to start her business as soon as possible.

After she washed up , she went out to the leader's house .

The leader's house was better off than the others and bigger . Lin Lin knocked gently at the door and waited for a while .

Lin Lin smiled and thanked the leader then left . She had a whole week to look for a 'job'.

Once she was home , she told Jin wei about what she is going to do .

Jin wei sighed and reminded Lin Lin in a worried tone

"Lin Lin make sure to keep an eye on your surroundings. Don't make deals with shady people and if you encounter any danger then run as fast as you can . Do you hear me ? "

Lin Lin nodded and said

"I will , don't worry auntie "

Then she left towards the village entrance.

There she found uncle bao waiting for his wagon cart to fill up and go to town .

The town is 2 hours away on foot but with the cart , it's just an hour which is good.

Lin Lin smiled at uncle bao and said

"Good morning uncle bao "

"Good morning child , are you going to the town ? You can come with me , it's just ten coopers a ride "

Lin Lin nodded and got into the wagon .

One of the Aunties , aunt ji looked at Lin Lin curiously and asked her

"Lin Lin are you going to the town too ? "

"Yes auntie, I'm going to try and get into one of the factories "

Aunt ji nodded in understanding. Who in the whole village doesn't know how the third son and his late Sister's family separated from the old zhou's family.

They also knows that old women peng shi stinginess.

She also saw how they left the house with only a few catties of food that doesn't amount to the tip of their work points.

After the wagon was filled, uncle bao set out to the town .

In an hour , they reached their destination.

discovering the town and its surroundings.

The buildings are made of bricks, the pavement is cemented and colored with white and red tiles on the edge .

You can see people coming and going , each of them is smiling and has an air of enthusiasm special for this era .

Lin Lin walked a little further then entered a small alley and disappeared into her space .

Inside of her space , Lin Lin changed her clothes into a grey light blouse and a black skirt that reaches down to her knee .

Then she pulled out a make up kit , contoured her face and applied a three times darker shade of foundation on her face making her unrecognizable.

Pleased with her looks , lin lin got out of her space with a big basket on her back and started looking for potential customers.

Lin Lin visited another alley and noticed a few people sitting around with their goods, others walking around, some are talking in hushed tones . So she understood that this must be a trading place .

She walked a bit then sat down on a corner with her big basket on the side and waited .

After half an hour , lin lin spotted an old lady who seems to be looking around in hurry .

Lin Lin smiled then approached the old woman whispering "madame , I have wheat , meat , eggs and much more food to sell if you are interested "

The woman eyes shined brightly at Lin Lin and hurriedly said "young girl , let's go somewhere else to talk "

Lin Lin nodded and followed the old lady to another alley away from the prying eyes .

The old woman looked around and saw that no one is there , then turned to Lin Lin and asked in a hopeful tone

"Girl How much food do you have with you ?"

"Auntie , I have everything you need . You just name it "

The woman face flushed red with excitement and said

"Good good , you can call me aunt mai . Girl I really need wheat , eggs , meat and oil"

Lin Lin nodded and said

"Aunt Mai , I have all of this with me right now , I also have some brown sugar ,white rabbit toffee candy and some canned food . Of course, I accept money , tickets even white and yellow junk or jade will do ; the more you have the better "

Aunt mai eyes glistened with happiness at this .

She doesn't know why this girl is asking for those useless things but she truly needs the food . Her two daughters in law gave birth in the same week and she has to purchase food to strengthen them . These are her first two grandsons ah .

"Girl , I will take everything you have . But I feel guilty to change the food for those useless things "

Lin Lin smiled and shook her head

"Don't worry auntie, those I work for asked for them . You don't have to worry I'm not working with the red army. I'm just here to do my job "

Aunt mai let a sigh of relief and said

"Okay , I need some time to get this things . We can meet here after an hour and do the exchange then "

Lin Lin agreed and the two went their way .

In that hour , Lin Lin exchanged 50 jins of wheat , 20Jins of eggs , 15 Jins of meat for 350 yuans , several coopons and 3 gold bars .

The meat was the most expensive thing that she sold . One Jin is for 10 yuans and several coupons in the marketing and supply agency, those who can afford it sometimes ends up not even being able to buy it because of the scarce materials and products.

As Lin Lin reached the meeting place she found aunt mai waiting for her with a basket in hand.

Then she turned around to pull the food from the empty basket aka directly from the supermarket.

Lin Lin took out 20 jins of white wheat , 10 jins of eggs , 10 jins of fat pig meat , 2 chickens , 5 liters of peanut oil , 3 cans of canned food , 4 jins of brown sugar , 2 packets of rabbit white toffee candy and a Jin of chocolate cakes wrapped in a small carton pack .

Aunt mai eyes sparkled and her heart rate accelerated at the sight of so much food .

"Aunt mai , the price of a the wheat is 30cooper coins a catty , a price of a Jin Of eggs is 20 cooper coins a catty ..."

Lin Lin was so excited that she added another 10 jins of fat pig meat , 2 bottles of milk , 4jins of lamb meat and a Jin of big red apples .

Aunt mai was shocked to see how much this junk got her . She never thought that it will be worth this much food . If someone heard her say that she exchanged it for meat and fruits they will surely laugh at her . She is now both happy and regretful for not bringing more .

Lin Lin of course saw through aunt mai and said

"Aunt mai , I will be back tomorrow too , if you can still get me more of these things , I promise to get you more meat and anything you wish for . Just name what you want to have and I will get it for you "

Aunt mai who was sulking inside found her powers back and nodded vigorously at Lin Lin

"Girl Lin , rest assured I will get you as much things as I can . I actually want more brown sugar, rice , milk , meat , chicken and apples "

Lin Lin took note of these and said

"Auntie I think I can get my hands on all of this for you . But my boss wants more and more of these things . So please bring me anything you can get your hands on "

Aunt mai nodded then the two put their things away and said goodbye, promising to meet tomorrow at the same time and place .

Lin Lin turned around and continued to sell her food till lunch time .

She took out a ham sandwich from her supermarket and started eating it .

She had enough coupons to go visit the state restaurant but she is unwilling to waste time and coupons on those things .

Adding to that , no food can compare to this ham sandwich of hers .

After finishing her lunch, lin lin strolled around in the alleys till she found what she was looking for .

A big boss .
