Expose

Evelyn got down from the chair and went to open the door, wearing a dejected expression at the thought of Jane being on the other side. She didn't want the lady to return so fast.

A solemn and unfriendly expression sat on her face while she reached out to open the door. 

Before looking at the other person, she harshly said, "Why are you back so fast? Should have stayed away for a couple more years. No one needs you—"

Her eyes widened when she learned that the one standing there was her father, Daniel Wright. Shock contorted her face.

"Mister?" she enunciated.

She was almost about to apologize for talking to him rudely when she recalled how he made her mom cry yesterday. That got her to appear cold and hostile.

Pointing her finger at him, she accusingly pointed out, "You made my mom cry yesterday. You are not welcome here."
