Chapter 69: The kidnapping (1):

Hui Yun signed and whispered, "I suppose your right,". We sat there in silence until got up from her seat and exclaimed that we should begin heading back it was quite late already. She wanted more time to think about what she should do. We began walking home in silence. The usually busy street was surprisingly quiet. I mean it was only 5 pm. The streets seem far too quiet.

Suddenly, a black van pulled up beside us. Out walked out many men with black masks covering their faces. Seriosuly kidnapping? Uhh, not this again. One of the men pushed Hui Yun away from me. I don't think anything happened to her as she was holding onto the pole for dear life.

One of the men who was holding onto me proceeded to put their hand on my face however I bit his hand hard. This gave me a chance to shout something to Hui Yun. "Hui Yun, don't be scared it's going to be ok. Go and find Zhao Ru Yu. Call Qi Yan. Call our parents. Let them do their job in finding me. Everything will be ok," I shouted as the men hurriedly pulled me inside the car.

I watched as Hui Yun ran quickly in the opposite direction. If anything were to happen to her, I would feel guilty for the rest of my life. Luckily the men had no intention of running after Hui Yun. She would surely find help and get me. I believe in my little sister.

The kidnappers place a black hat on my head covering my eyesight. They were smart enough to do this, which meant this was not the first time they had kidnapped someone. I was sitting in the middle of two men. Before I closed my eyes, I noticed that I was in a nine-seater black car.

Apart from the sound of car wheels driving on the road, I could hear the sound of a lighter. Why would I be so familiar with this sound you might ask. The reason was that in my childhood when I got kidnapped, the kidnapper would always smoke a cigarette so I got used to the sound. Immediately the car was filled with the smell of cigarettes. It must be the boss smoking because I'm not sure the lackeys would be smoking when they're doing a job. This boss must be an older person because people nowadays use vaping instead of smoking.

"Can you open some windows, I detest the smell coming from cigarettes," I asked as I heard someone gasp. "Haha. How come you are not scared at all?" asked the boss. "If you have done an investigation on me, then you would know that I got kidnapped when I was younger. Don't you find it very surprising that I managed to survive for a whole year, yet nothing really bad happened to me? Most people would only last a few weeks, or months if sturdy. But I managed to survive for a year and more. So why would I be scared?" I asked in reply. "Haha," the leader chuckled "I like your attitude. You remind me of someone I used to know," he must've gestured for someone to open up some windows as I could smell the fresh air.

"Where exactly are we going?" I asked. The leader chuckled and whispered "You'll find out later. Now you should have a good sleep," as soon as he said this someone placed a handkerchief on my nose and mouth. There must've had some sleeping drugs in them. I struggled to stay awake but I eventually fell asleep. The next time I woke up we were already in an old house in the middle of the countryside.
