Soooo...what does a baby do exactly?

Endyr was pulled back to the land of the living by a gentle touch running over his smooth baby head. Despite being awake, Endyr stayed still, enjoying the gentle and loving touch.

'This feels really nice...why have I never made my Avatar into a baby before?' Endyr could not help but question his past self for such a massive oversight. For someone that desired complete understanding of the Universe, he had effectively ignored a valuable source of information: the experiences of a baby.

'If I had only done a few practise runs, I would be much better off' he lampooned in regret. But after basking in the rubs for around a minute more, he reluctantly opened his eyes and embraced the sights.

Above him, his mother noticed he was awake and smiled softly. "Hello, my little Altair. Did you have a good nap? You seemed tired out after your little tantrum" she asked, amusement evident in her voice. Endyr blinked at her, ecstatic that he could understand the words she spoke.

'Is this the effect of my [Language Comprehension (E)] Skill?' he wondered. Before he could pull up his Status to check, his mother continued speaking.

"I was very worried you know...you were suddenly discharged without prior warning. Everyone assumed it was a miscarriage, until Sister Niamh managed to deliver you properly. But even then, you remained unbreathing for several seconds." His mother spoke with deep sadness and a tinge of anxiety in her voice.

'So my new body was born premature? Or was it fully developed but simply caused her to go into labour without warning. Either way, it sounds like I nearly wasn't born'. At the thought of dying again, unable to resist the sway of nature that tyrannically commanded his right to live, displeasure rose within Endyr.

'I refuse to be held captive by such forces ever again' he sneered in his mind.

His mother started walking down a corridor, gently rocking him in her arms as she went. For the first time, Endyr saw what his mother looked like. She was fairly tall for a woman, around 6"1 with a well proportioned body and a near hourglass figure. She certainly didn't look like she had given birth only a day before. Her hair was a brilliantly vibrant red and her eyes a soft amethyst that seemed to almost glow. Her skin was on the paler side, but only made her seem even more exotic.

'Well, I have yet to have seen enough to draw a comparison but I would guess she is quite the looker around here' such were the thoughts running through Endyr's mind. As a Denizen of Infinity, he felt no such emotions like lust, arousal or sexual desire, so his standards or understanding of women did not go beyond what their insides looked like or the colour of their souls.

'Perhaps I should have asked a few what the average women looks like before dissecting them' he had a fleeting thought before focusing again. They had arrived at their destination.

His mother opened the door, revealing a light-lit room with a crib, a bed, several shelves and toys. Endyr's attention was immediately captured by the occupant of the room: a young girl, only around 7 years old from the looks of things.

"Mama!" the girl cried out upon seeing the woman. "Sia" she replied warmly before entering and placing Endyr in the crib. "Is that my new brother?" Sia asked excitably. "Yes it is. His name is Altair and he was born yesterday" his mother responded.

Endyr's new sister turned and ran over to his crib, peering down at him with a wide grin. "He is so small" she murmured before reaching down to him. She gently squeezed his cheeks, pulling on them with a giggle.

'Such insolence!' Endyr yelled in his mind. 'I should have your fingers for that girl!'. Despite now being a human baby, Endyr carried with him the arrogance befitting his (former) status as a Denizen of Infinity-a being that Gods and Celestials alike cowered before.

Endyr's mother arrived at his crib and gently took Sia's arms away from him. "Your brother was just born" she sighed. "Don't start bullying him already." Sia pouted at her mother's words. "I wasn't bullying him! I was just...feeling how soft and adorable he is" she stated embarrassedly.

Upon hearing her words, triumph filled Endyr. 'Yes, I am an adorable baby. The most amazing and adorable baby that ever lived, in fact!' Endyr then decided to magnanimously forgive the trespasses of his new sister and not remove her fingers for touching him previously.

Speaking of Sia, he gave her a scrutinizing gaze. She looked similar to their mother in facial structure, but her hair was a splendid gold rather than red. Her eyes were the same amethyst though, and her skin was slightly more coloured.

In the future, she would certainly be a head-turner for boys and girls alike. 'Her hair must come from our father...speaking of which, where is he?' Endyr had not seen his father in the room where he was born, nor had his mother or anyone else mentioned him.

A low rumbling sound knocked Endyr out of his reverie. Confused, he tried and failed to look around for the source. Seeing his confused face, Sia and his mother could not help but laugh.

"Look mama, he is scared of his own belly!" Sia laughed. His mother smiled pleasantly and proceeded to pick Endyr up. Once she had secured him, she pulled at the neckline of her gown over her breasts, revealing them. "You must be hungry, my little Altair" she stated.

Endyr stared at her in confusion, then her breasts, then Sia. After alternating between them several times, Sia giggled again. "Silly baby! Don't you know what to do?"

'Of course I don't!' complained Endyr. 'My stomach rumbled and now my mother is flashing herself at me. All I know about babies is that they are easily squishable and relatively tasty!'

As a Denizen of Infinity, Endyr had done countless things, the majority of which would land him in Death Row on any human planet. On one occasion, he had sampled several babies but found them not to his taste. Since then, he had stopped bothering to learn about them, leading to his current gap in knowledge.

Suddenly feeling awkward, Endyr could not help but plead with his eyes to his mother. 'Listen woman, what exactly do babies do here?' Endyr had no choice but admit his own ignorance.

Perhaps understanding the problem, his mother let out a low sigh before bringing him up to her breast. Once he was nestled against her areola, his baby instincts began to take over. Taking the bud between his lips, he began to suck fervently.

A small smile blossomed on his mother's face at the sight, while Sia looked on curiously. "Altair is quite weird, isn't he?" she turned to their mother for confirmation.

The mother nodded slowly. "I asked Sister Niamh, but she said she couldn't find anything off about him. Its likely a side-effect of his sudden discharge". Sia became worried at her mother's words: "Will Altair be negatively affected?" she asked.

Still sucking on the teat, Endyr kept one ear open to hear what his family was saying. 'So people might think I am mentally impaired or something due to my sudden birth?' he thought. 'This...might be useful. I can shield myself and use it as an excuse if necessary.'

Endyr instinctively felt he was full and detached himself from the breast. He let out a small burp, which made the women present laugh. 'Damn baby body!' Endyr cursed. 'At least my bladder isn't full yet. The last of my dignity lies with that sole fact'.

Seeing he had stopped drinking, his mother put him back in the crib and stepped away. "I have to go now Altair. Mommy will be back soon though" she promised gently. Beside her, Sia also prepared to leave. As the two went out the door, Sia paused and turned back to look at Endyr. She smiled and gave a small wave before stepping out.

The door closed behind them, leaving Endyr alone in the room. As he stared at the ceiling, bundled in his crib, he belatedly realised something. 'A normal human baby takes 1-2 years to mature to the point of walking and basic babbling.' He cast his gaze across the room, which he assumed was a nursery.

'So what do I do until then?'
