Chapter 21: Hero and Villain Rankings and an Unexpected Student?

Since the students have been graded and the professors have already decided which class their gonna send each student, classes immediately start.

Lilia then walked towards the students who got the Zenith grade and said, "Come with me; we should start the classes immediately. I didn't expect the Zenith Magic Test to take that long. There were lots of people trying to get in too."

"Alright, follow me."

Each student who got the Zenith grade immediately followed Lilia as the other students who got different grades were also led by the other professors. As they re-entered the campus, the earthen stage collapsed, and the training grounds once again looked like a barren land.

Lilia then led Ryu and other students toward this grandiose-looking door. Lilia then pushed open the door to reveal a magnificent classroom.

Lilia then said, "Find a comfortable seat. Since we were sure that there would be only a few of you, the room is quite small, but it'll accommodate all of you. I honestly didn't expect to have this many Zenith grade students; well done."

Ryu, Aoi, Hina, Anna, Emma, Nila, and Yuki all sat close to each other. It was also surprising that Yuki managed to be the one sitting right next to Ryu. So naturally, the trio was a bit jealous, but Ryu explained to them who Yuki was.

"Though those terms are for the general people. The proper ranking is more of the 'Adventurer Guild-type' ranking. From Copper, Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Mithril, Orichalcum, Adamantite, and lastly, the highest rank, Gladiator."

"This ranking is only known by the Hero Society, but I've heard some news that they want to implement the original ranking as the general terms."

"The Hero Ranking is based on a 'Hunt Point System.' The stronger villains you defeat, the higher your rank will be. Also, the rank is based on how strong your enemies are rather than the amount."

"Oh is that so? She's Zenith Grade?" Lilia slightly raised her brows and asked.

Chiyo nodded as she added, "Yes she is. What's surprising is, we got another Bestowed rank."

All of the students, including Ryu himself, were a bit surprised. Lilia also raised her brow as if she beckoned Chiyo to give more information.

Chiyo just smiled lightly as she opened the door a bit wider, showing a beautiful young woman with a unique gray-yellow hair and eyes that seemed to be enhanced by her round glasses.

Chiyo then said, "Azalea, can you go to the front? Thanks. Since she barely talks, let me introduce to you, Azalea Jade, a new student of the Zenith graded class. She's also a Bestowed Rank, Crimson category. That should be a good enough introduction."

Lilia nodded her head as she smiled while thinking, 'There are a lot of talented students this year. According to the school records, there were only five Zenith Grade students. *Sigh* this is gonna be exhausting.'

"Alright Azalea, go find a seat where you are comfortable. Thank you, Professor Hironaka." Lilia said and thanked Chiyo. Chiyo nodded her head as she waved her hand while leaving the classroom.

The gray-haired girl or Azalea walked towards a spot two rows apart behind Ryu and sat comfortably while Lilia smiled once more and spoke again. "Azalea, do you want me to repeat the 'Hero and Villain Rankings' that we discussed?"

Azalea simply shook her head while Lilia nodded as she understood and simply nodded her head while continuing to another topic.

They reached the topic of chantless magic and how useful it is. Ryu then mulled over the subject as he thought, 'DId Lilia tell the headmistress about chantless magic and want her to immediately implement it into the curriculum? I support her since it's for the better. Long-ass chanting sounds dumb.'

'Although… the students here almost all knew about chantless, or short-chant magic. It seems some people are monopolizing the knowledge about how to use magic more efficiently.' Ryu couldn't help but scratch his chin.

Yuki, beside him, was fidgeting as she glanced back and forth at Ryu and Lilia.

The bell then rang, and Lilia glanced at her watch and said, "Alright, that's it for today. Tomorrow

Professor Chiyo will be here and teach about mana control. Same time as me. That's about it, see you guys."

The students all stood up while Lilia headed for the door. As she reached the handle, she turned her head to Ryu and said, "Ryu, the headmistress wants to meet you in an hour, contact me."

The other students were confused, but Ryu simply nodded as he thought, 'Knowing Lilia, she might've told the headmistress about chantless magic and told her that I taught her and some other stuff. It wouldn't hurt meeting the headmistress, and my mom is also there probably.'

Lilia then left the room while Ryu diverted his eyes to Yuki and said, "You want to talk with me properly, right?"

Yuki nodded, but she was silent. Probably because she was embarrassed to speak about such things in public. She then leaned forward and whispered to Ryu, "I'll give you my contact information; I'll tell you where to meet me."

She then walked away from Ryu and hurriedly left.

Ryu then shifted his attention to his siblings and the trio as he said, "Alright! You guys can go get lunch; I'm kinda hungry. And I still have to meet the headmistress later so let's go!"

"Let's go! I wanna eat so bad!" Nila slightly mocked Ryu, but she was indeed hungry as she rubbed her belly. Seeing this, Ryu couldn't help but pinch Nila's nose. With a yelp, she slightly hit Ryu, but Ryu simply caught the fist and pulled her and carried her over the shoulder.

"HEY! THIS IS TOO EMBARRASSING!" Nila couldn't help but shout as the others giggled.

Hina then said with a laugh, "Hehe, Nila-nee, that's what you get for mocking Nii-chan!"

Emma couldn't help but smirk as she smacked Nila's ass and groped it lightly while saying, "Oh! Did your ass get bigger from all the pounding Ryu gave you?"

Hearing this topic in public, the others couldn't help but blush, especially Nila, as she was the person of target. Nila then angrily said, "Says the girl who probably got pounded by Ryu earlier this morning!"

Hearing this, Aoi's face turned red as she pulled Hina close and covered her ears while saying, "Hina, don't listen to them!"

Aoi glanced at Ryu and thought, '*Sigh* My little brother is already grown up. I'm two years older than him and I couldn't even get laid!'

"Hahaha, alright let's go," Ryu said as he carried Nila and headed to the exit while the others followed.

As they left the room, Kenji approached Toshiro and said, "Those people are really strong, I didn't expect that we'd meet people that also use chantless magic."

Toshiro then lightly opened and revealed his slit eyes. His eyes seemed like they contained a whole universe inside them while he mulled over a thought, 'A man who has two souls merged into one. One is as serene as a lake, while the other is on the verge of insanity… Fascinating….'
