Chapter 1-Rebirth

Death, Despair, Destruction. These have replaced the peaceful grounds of the "Tai Peak Sect". On the bottom of the peak, tens of thousands of mangled corpses line the blackened ground. Walking through them a fairy-like beauty check's for life. Finding none she smiles. "Husband will be so happy. Perhaps he will reward me a...a...k-kiss!"

Suddenly she clasps her beat red face in between her bloodied hands. Her voluptuous chest wiggles and her legs tighten. Immediately she returns to her husband at the peak, along with the 364 other wives. Together they get on their knees.

Their husband, a tall young man with obsidian eyes and hair stands over the corpse of the former sect master. He looks at the mountain and finds no survivors. Not a single teacher, disciple, whether inner or outer, or building had been spared. Looking at his wives he smiles, remembering his sister. "Qing'er. Do you see? None have been spared. Finally! Finally...it's finished."

Hearing this his wives frown, only one tearing up. The young man stomps on the sect leader's skull. "...It's time to go." Suddenly the sky begins to fill with clouds. The young man glares in response, causing the tribulation to flee like the cowering dog that it is. Space distorts as the moon and sun appear. The clouds vanish, a hole in space appearing in what was their center.

Unfortunately, they were wrong. As they ascend a child moves from under his mother's corpse. Tears fill his swollen eyes, dripping onto the blood soaked remains of his clothes. Today was supposed to be great. He passed the sect entrance test. Yes, he was just an outer disciple but he was a disciple nonetheless.

The medicines promised to treat his mother have been stolen by those vixens, his new home is gone, his future has crumbled to dust, and now his mother, his greatest support is dead. Suddenly his head begins to burn. It gets worse and worse. Within seconds his face has turned red.

Flop*

"M...m-mom...mommy..please.....pl-....do-....lea.."

Bang*

Crying, the young man faints, slamming his head into his mother's caved in chest. The world turns black for a second. Where am I? The young man find himself floating in a black void. His clothes are gone and his body is translucent. Slowly he opens his eyes. As he does the void gains a purple hue.

"An unfortunate cycle continues on. Tell me. Do you desire it cease? Or will you fade to dust?"

As the young man's mind grows clearer so do his surroundings. Looking around the young man goes silent. He's back to the the morning. His mother is by the fire making fried chicken. She's wearing a dirty hemp dress with hide shoes. Even so, she's smiling. A 13 year old kid runs around the table, an ugly smile on his round face. Accidentally, he knocks a chair down.

His mom's eyes immediately close. "Calm down Li!" Instantly the kid sits down, or, at least tries too. His wooden sandals clack as he falls face first onto the floor. With cat like reflexes she grabs the hem of his collar. Despite her weak appearance she holds him up with ease. "Thank you mom."

Slowly the kid stands up. Gently his mom pats his head. Suddenly the world begins to crack and distort. "Don't you dare take her away!" Li screams. As if obeying it's master, the purple reality stabilizes. Now Li finds himself in front of what was supposed to be his master.

The sun has started to come up, yet only a glimmer can be seen, for even the sun cannot stand with Mount Tai without bowing. Lanterns float above the crowd of kids and their parents. Together they wait in line. Little Li stands in front of the talent assessment orb, somewhat scared.

The outer sect elder gently pats his shoulder. "Everything will be fine young man. Just give it your best." Slowly, the elder guides Bai's hand onto the orb. Yellow. Seeing this Bai starts to tear up. The elder, ignoring this, guides Bai to the sect entrance. Before speaking to Bai he looks to his mother. Her skin is pale, her eyes, just liked her hair, is an amber red. Bai looks almost exactly like her, the exception being a large burn on the left side of his face and his caramel colored skin.

Li looks to the elder. "Go up as high as you can. If you can reach the halfway point without breaks I promise to help your mother." And so Li started climbing. Soon the sun sets. The only source of light left is the floating lanterns.

"...it hurts."

Now crawling Li climbs. His face is scraped and his joints are bleeding profusely. His feet have gone flat and he can no longer move his legs.

"...I...I don't care! I swear I will climb this damn mountain and see the sun! I promised mom damnit!"

His throat is on fire and his eyes keep closing. He can't feel his stomach. Even so. To help his mom. To become someone strong. He will continue. Unfortunately, a strong will isn't enough. Blurry children just like him continue to pass him.

Finally after a day and a half he breaks. "Why? Why haven't I moved? Why is everyone so fast?" Looking up he seems to have not moved at all. But he knows he has. He definitely has. Everyone continues to pass him, further crushing his will.

Finally, he faints.

Reality starts to distort, a familiar voice appearing once again.

"You struggled against your mortal status and succeeded. Yet, even then, you unknowingly continue to follow heavens will. Just as he does. You could have broken through as he will yet because of heavens karmic mandate, you will never do so."

Suddenly Li sees himself standing in the outer sect square with his master. A young woman, approximately 12 stands in it's center. "Big brother says that you can live if you leave. So leave." Wearing an extremely exposing black dress with matching stockings and heels she poses arragontly. Everyone wants to dismiss her but seeing the severed head of one of the inner sect heads they can't.

The still clean Li was scared. Even so, he couldn't leave. Where can he go? This is the only sect that will take someone of his blood. Even after five minutes only 100 leave. The tens of thousands of new disciples stay. This is their biggest shot at becoming something more.

Seeing this the girl smiles. "I see you have already been corrupted by those Tai pigs. Die then you fools." Suddenly the heads of several thousand disciples fall. Thankfully he and his master make it out fine. Together they run, his master trying to carry as many disciples as he can.

Master had to leave several disciples. Seeing their terrified looks as other women come to kill once again makes Li cry. Help! I don't want to die! Just because we want a future we have to die! Why do we have to pay for the sins of Mount Tai!

In the end his master died defending him and his mom. The same woman as before stood before them. The transparent Li, seeing the woman move tried to defend his mom. Unfortunately, he still can't do anything. His mother's chest explodes, demonic Qi piercing through them both. In that moment Li died

Seeing this she leaves, joining the other woman. Just as the last person dies, the jade pendant his mother always wore begins to crack. The demonic Qi is expelled from his body as it heals. Instantly he came back to life. Now he finds himself in a purple hell, feeling his worst nightmare.

"I can give you the strength to fight him. To break the heavens. But you will be targeted by the heavens itself. Tell me, will you fight against the world itself for vengeance?"

"...Of course."

"And so the pact is sealed."

Reality cracks and breaks, a purple seed forming and growing. It's roots rip into Bai's skin and organs. Slowly he's destroyed, only his soul remaining. The seed splits further, revealing a pruple void full of crown wearing demons, each bowing to an unseen overlord. Teeth explode from the seed.
