Creation of the Cosmos

Since time immemorial Gods have perished and Devils were slaughtered like cattle on a Sunday morning just before breakfast, but why is it? Well, for starters many believe it's because light hates darkness and vice versa.

Even though both rely on each other to survive and thrive in this chaotic world. Yet the more important question was who or what began this vicious cycle of Life and Death? And why did our elders always tell us that Devils were "inherently evil," while Gods were considered the "righteous ones," the saints of tomorrow's past they would call them?

Well, to be honest, it was not always like this...

In a distant land, where the strongest beings throughout history reside, there existed a place most would deem sacred or even holy. A place that has now become nothing but a fabled legend of olden times, which was rumored to be beneath Heaven yet above Hell.

A place where both Devil's and Gods coexisted in peace and harmony, underneath the iron fist of a two-faced tyrant. Whose only goal was to preserve their legacy and eliminate all threats to their reign.

While they remained hidden in plain sight within the central plains protected by the Four Divine Beasts and the Creator's blessing. Where an observatory could be seen poking out the side of a mountain gazing at the night sky.

As the chatter of an old man and a group of kids could be heard coming from within.

[At the beginning, when there was nothing but darkness, she was born… Without a name or a title bestowed upon her, she became the light at the end of the tunnel. And eventually the Creator of the Cosmos.]

"Did you know that these Universes, Galaxies, Planets, and everything you see around us was created by our ancestor, Elizabeth Cross?" Their great-grandfather told them with a smile as he opened his palm and displayed the creation of the Cosmos from darkness to light and eventually the birth of all creation.

"Wow!" The children shouted simultaneously as their eyes sparked with curiosity and amazement even though they had seen this scene a million times before. Yet no matter how many times they saw it they still couldn't get over just how beautiful it was.

"I know right so cool, however, please keep quiet until the narration is over! Thank you," Gramps said as continued the story.

[With each wave of her hand a new world was born as galaxies were created and universes arose from nothingness. Before coming together and forming three multiverses that resembled a triangular formation.]

"But Grandpa, how did she create such things if they never existed before her birth?" Luke asked with curiosity the moment Gramps took a short break, causing the kids to take this opportunity to whisper amongst themselves.

"Hey, do you think Grandma will come back if we beat him up?" One kid asked as he laughed menacingly with a toothy grin as he rubbed his hands together like a gambler about to score big time.

"Probably but what if she says we can't get any more brownies or cookies? Considering how we broke her husband and disobeyed her orders." Another kid pouted before rejecting such a thought as she didn't want to get on Grandma's naughty list.

"Can you two idiots please shut up; I'm trying to sleep here!"

"Dang, who pissed in her cereal?" A kid laughed as he nudged his friend with a mischievous smile.

"Why do we have to listen to this boring story every Saturday? Why can't we watch the Dragons fight?" A chubby kid muttered with a yawn as began imagining himself riding a dragon and fighting hordes of demons.

"I don't know, probably because it's mandatory by the Elders?" His cousin replied before resuming to read a new novel he found in the palace.

"Hmm, well to be honest, Luke I don't know…" said Gramps after thinking about it as he never really thought about it like that, "But anyways let's continue as I, myself am getting tired of reading this,"

[However, during this time just as the Creator was about to add the final touches to her work, an unknown entity appeared and attacked her. Luckily, our Ancestor reacted fast enough and managed to stop it, before it could wreak havoc upon the Cosmos. Sealing it within the Eye of the Beholder and commencing the start of a blood feud that would last until only was remaining. That would forever alter reality until the End of Time.]

"So, what happened that day, Gramps?" Luke asked as he caught a glimpse of a shooting star as it flew across the night sky.

"Only they could tell you what happened that day, but maybe one day you'll be privy to such information," Gramps said with a mysterious smile yet even he was curious about the origin and purpose of their great ancestor Elizabeth Cross.

"Thanks, Gramps." Luke said as he wondered if their great ancestor was still alive, 'Hopefully, she is as I'd love to one day meet her… but if not then surely, I'll find out what happened back then even if it means the destruction of the Heavens.' Luke thought as he gazed at the sky with determination.

"But Gramps!!!" The rest of the children shouted wanting to learn more even though they couldn't wait to leave and return to their families.

"Hmm, maybe you just might be able to do it, Luke." Gramps muttered as he got lost in his thoughts for a moment, 'Sigh… if only you weren't cursed by that anomaly maybe you could've been the catalyst that starts a new era, Luke. However, destiny has chosen you to be a sideline character and the flower that will gradually wilt away, my nephew.'

Thought Gramps before he dismissed such thoughts and shouted at the group of rowdy brats, "Shut up and stop asking okay!"

"But..."

"No buts, however, one thing I can tell you is that with time more of those anomalies will appear and when they do even the forgotten God realm won't be life unscratched. Since we will surely be forced into another war more tragic than the Millennium War of Divine, a war not even the mighty Creators and Empyreans wanted to take part in…" stated Gramps in a terrified and sorrowful voice as he remembered the horrors, he witnessed upon that battlefield a million years ago.

Meanwhile, as the story finished and the kids returned home to their families, it seemed as if the Cosmos trembled for a second. Before a grayish beam of light fell from the Peak of Desolate Mountain unbeknownst to Elizabeth and made its way toward the lower realms.

"And so it begins," One of the experts of the God Realm said with a devilish smile upon being jolted awake from their nap by a familiar presence as their eyes homed in on the location of a child's birth. Who will one day grow up to be…
