Episode 24: HUMILITY'S DISTRESS

HUMILITY: Red...I need you to come talk to me for a bit.

RED: I need to talk to you too...

HUMILITY: Harry is missing. He haven't fulfilled his duties for a week!

RED: I haven't seen him around too! I'm not kidding, he literally vanished! I can't detect him, anywhere. Plus, no way he'd prank us this way.

GABBY: Harry's gone? What could have been the matter?

RED: I don't know, really. Hey, you should go to Tiwari's house for now. I'm not going to be around you this time. *releases a crow*

GABBY: Can you name her? Since we're gonna be together for a bit...

RED: *blushes* Um, okay. She'll be Shania. Go protect her, okay?

SHANIA: Yes, master.

HUMILITY: I'd leave this guardian of mine too, this butterfly will turn black when trouble is near, and would warn me if you're in distress too. Hopefully, it won't have to.

GABBY: Hey, be careful you two. I'd leave this with you Red, and Humility.

*gives them a necklace( ruby and amethyst)*

GABBY: I got it from a jewelry shop, and give this to Harry when you find him...(a golden necklace with a white stone)

Humility smiles and looks at Red. Red was blushing furiously and tried to hide it by looking away. His friend smirked and bids farewell. Gabby watched as the two disappears in the lingering moonlight.

She quickly hurried to call Tiwari for a night out. Her friend, even though glad she called, was worried and puzzled as to why she was staying there all of a sudden.

GABBY: Can I stay for the night?

TIWARI: Hey...um, hi? And what's the matter? Did you two fight or something?

GABBY: No. It's just that...um, he left? And I kinda need some company right now. Hope you don't mind.

TIWARI: Of course I don't! Come here and I'll prepare your favorite snacks! And well, I'd ready the bed and we could watch movies together too!

HUMILITY: I wonder where he went!

RED: Argh, we've been searching for hours.

RED: Um...is that bird yours?

HUMILITY: What bird?

RED: That creepy old looking bird near the sakura tree?

HUMILITY: No. Don't let your guard down. That's not mine.

RED: I can't sense anything else but this creepy bird. I wonder why it's looking at us that intensely.

HUMILITY: There must be a place it's guarding here. Or maybe it wants to be followed. Either way we're not sure why it's here.

RED: Let's ignore it. Let's go find Harry.

???: Oh? You brought a friend?

HUMILITY: Red! Watch out!

When the puppeteer tried to attach her strings to Red, Humility quickly comes forward to stop the link. But as it turns out, it was part of her plans. When Humility received the link, he was quickly pulled to a portal before he could even react.

RED: HUMILITY!!! Argh! I lost them!

Humility opened his eyes, only to see himself in another dimension.

HUMILITY: Caliph! What is wrong with you?!

CALIPH: That will be the last time you'll call my name...I'm going to end you today..

HUMILITY: Really? If that's the case....

Caliph, Caliph, Caliph, Caliph...

CALIPH: What's wrong with you?! I didn't mean that! Ugh, let's just get this over with...

Humility feels a stinging pain when Caliph pulls the string attached to him.

CALIPH: That's right, just relax...and you'll never feel pain again.

HUMILITY: No! This strings may have gotten stronger than the last time but I won't let this hinder me!

*strings breaks free*

CALIPH: Eh, I expected that. Good thing I have this bad boi.

*releases puppet*

HUMILITY: *in shock* Harry?

CALIPH: Yes...but he won't hear you anyways. He's in my control. But hurt him too much and he'll eventually break apart. And your best friend will perish FOREVERMORE... But before you jump into action I just want you to know that he, fought me with all his best just so you won't be in my possession. He was nice, eh? And I'm sure he'd be upset when he suddenly vanish, because his friend won't do the same for him...

HUMILITY: You jerk!

CALIPH: So, I guess you have no choice but to surren-

HUMILITY: *attacks using butterfly swarms*

Note: Each butterfly explodes when in contact*

I WON'T LET YOU GET AWAY WITH THIS!

CALIPH: Such a petty move, Humility. What had love and friend ship did to you? *quickly blocked by Harry*

HUMILITY: *eyes enlarged* *quickly puts the swarm away from him*

In thought: Ugh, I can't fight like this...without touching my friend I won't be able to reach him.

...

RED: The birds...it's going somewhere! I need to follow it somehow!

Ravens started to fly to a specific location.

RED: Humility, Harry, I won't lose you two...

...

HUMILITY: I shouldn't have let my eye loose on Harry...this is my fault!

Humility who knew that hitting him directly would drain Harry's flare decided to let his friend attack him freely, until he was thrown away.

HUMILITY: Ack!

CALIPH: You bore me...you're babying Harry too much. And all you do is receive and avoid his attacks. How are you to win, hm?

Harry turns into a dragon and heaps fire towards Humility's direction.

HUMILITY: *turns into a swarm of butterflies that quickly flew away to avoid the attack*

PUPPET HARRY: *flaps wings to create a powerful blow*

HUMILITY: *gets blown away* Harry!!! Can you hear me? Please...refuse her!

CALIPH: Oh? You're begging, already?

PUPPET HARRY: *becomes a huge bear and runs after Humility*

Humility dodges and throws him to a tree using his amplified arms.

Humility looks in pity as he noticed that the puppet was losing so much flare by using powerful beasts in combat.

HARRY: *tried to tackle him another time*

HUMILITY: *turns into a swarm of butterflies again*

HARRY: *quickly turns into a huge lizard and devour half of the butterfly swarm*

When Humility transforms again, he was a bit weaker than before. He gritted his teeth and decided to double up.

HARRY: *becomes a tiger and quickly tried to pounce Humility*

HUMILITY: *transforms into his divine form*

Note: In this particular form, Humility uses his 3 year worth of flare. Equivalent to: 7 million soul energy

Humility's eyes turned white and was able to detect a blind spot. He smiled, and felt as if he had the upper hand again, as what he usually does.

Everything felt smooth, quick and fluid.

The Puppeteer was shocked to see how fast Humility had improved.

Harry was knocked out in a single hit, but still a bit alive after exactly 10% of flare remains in his body. Such reapers would be unable to move, but won't perish yet. Humility's calculations were so exact and quite frightening.

Surely Caliph underestimated him big time.

She tried to release Foxxy, but Foxxy was a human soul and so Humility quickly put her on the same situation as Harry. And quicker too.

HUMILITY: Well, my 3 year hard work surely was wasted just because you wanted a rematch. My calculating eyes surely are quite expensive...and I hate it...that I have to be a bad guy just so you could learn for the second time... Good thing Red isn't here...and so is Harry... I can finally be the devil everyone back then thought me to be...

CALIPH: Please, let's talk it out!

Humility throws her away in a very impactful manner that even her amulet broke to pieces. The strings attached to Harry and Foxxy broke. Fear showed in her eyes as she knew Humility wasn't going easy on her. 'The soft and gentle Humility, always doing his duty was no more. It was something more of him, the OTHER side of him. The side that most weren't able to see. Humility is on revenge mode.'

*after twenty minutes of throwing, punching, and explosions*

CALIPH: Please have mercy!

HUMILITY: No way...I'll never-

(Flashback appears)

Humility was in a corner, shocked to see his old self beating up another kid. The kid was begging, crying for help. But no one heard him. Eventually the kid fainted and he left casually. With no guilt or sadness present in his eyes.

(Flashback ends)

Humility's feet wobbled. He transformed back to his original state and started to form a sad expression.

HUMILITY: Get out.

He said in a lonely tone.

The puppeteer wasted no time and she quickly ran away.

As she ran, Humility decided to carry Harry, and Foxxy who are still both unconscious, back to the spirit realm.

Red stopped at his tracks. Finally reaching an empty field. That is, of course, when Caliph showed up, severely weakened.

RED: Hm, just as expected. Humility did it again. Now, since he went easy on you, don't think I'd do the same.

CALIPH: Your friend is safe. Let me go.

RED: Eh I'm sure. I'm sure you'll do it again if you'll have another chance. I'm sorry, I'm not that soft.

CALIPH: Hmph! *sends thousand ravens*

But Red was in a specially good mood and his rage to avenge his friends drove him to easily avoid the poisoned ravens.

He teleports to her front and quickly killed her on spot.

RED: That will teach ya. Now begone...
