Perfect World VR (163) : Capture the Flag
Steven sat quietly on the floor, his eyes wide open, his breathing ragged and his nerves frayed. This was not because he was in battle facing off against something or someone that suppressed hum completely.
But compared to what was happening, Steven would have preferred such a scenario. He would have preferred experiencing pain at the hands of a strong opponent than this.
This was much worse. At least in a fight with a strong opponent, he could at least learn some skills and techniques to help him in subsequent battles but… this was completely unprecedented.
It overturned everything he had ever thought from a young age. If not for his strong will, Steven would have already suffered a mental breakdown due to having his core beliefs torn down like a wall of cards.
