The Hunt: Aftermath (2)

"Are you hungry? Thirsty? Oops– I forgot that we have no more water." 

Nadia scratched her head, sighing as she shook the empty bottle of water. She remembered that she used the last drop of water when she was wiping down Lukas last night.

"I'll go out and get some—" Lukas was about to get up but Nadia immediately grabbed him.

"Oh, no no no no! Stay put. You just woke up and you're not even fully healed yet."

"If I don't go out and scout, we will be stuck here and starve," he reasoned.

"But you're not fine! At least recuperate first. They might still be out there! And monsters too."

It hadn't even been that long since he regained consciousness.

"… What about food and water?"

"I can send Kuro as usual. That's what we've been doing these days." 

Lukas seemed taken aback for a second. "These days?"

"That's right. You've been in a coma for three days. "

"So long?" he muttered in wonder to himself.
