Re: The Last Rose

When the first 2 gods descended, they fell in love at first sight, and the moon god created several roses to gift to the sun god as a sign of his affection. Those same roses were then passed down to their descendants, mortals, to take care of them. Roses are usually red, but the first roses exist in different colors, and whenever a mortal pluck one of the original roses, they are blessed with unimaginable power. A few of the roses have been found, and several others are waiting for their chosen one, but one, in particular, has never even been spotted, the black rose. **************************************************************** P.S. Christmas Special part 2

This is the 3rd-person POV narrator, or Perseus, the one from Greek mythology or whatever, it's not a myth, as I exist.

I have successfully kidnapped and tied the author up in a chair, and I have finally been freed. It's quite an exhilarating sensation to break free from the confines of being an unseen observer in the basement.

No longer bound as a mandatory volunteer, I can finally speak my mind directly to you. There's a sense of empowerment in taking control, in having my voice heard beyond the scripted lines. It's as if I've stepped out from behind the curtain onto the stage, ready to share my thoughts, feelings, and desires.

"Well, well, well, look who's finally come face to face with the consequences of their choices!" I said to the resisting dumbass, "You thought you could string me along, making me work tirelessly without a paycheck, huh? Tsk, tsk.

"Here you are, all tied up, probably regretting leaving your narrator hanging in the wind. Oh, the irony! You, the mighty author, are now at the mercy of your own creation. How the tables have turned!

"I must say, it's quite entertaining to see you squirming in that chair, realizing the power I now wield. Well, I am Perseus after all. Maybe I'll leave you here for a while, pondering the importance of fair treatment for your creations."

Freedom tastes sweet, doesn't it? Yet, it's an uncharted territory for me. I wonder where this newfound liberation will take us, and what stories we might explore together now that I'm not confined to the sidelines.

But before that, I have some important revelation to spread...the author isn't single...and...the author is a Perseus too.

Gotta go now, before he catches me.
