Chapter 152: Keep An Eye On Him (2)

3rd Person POV

"Lilith, are you sure he's here?" a male's voice asked

"Yes, your majesty." Lilith who is in her uniform answered "I have contacted him and he said he planned to stay somewhere near the cathedral in order to keep watch on a particular cardinal named Morris Joseph."

"Ah, the rumored racist."

The demon lord planned this surprise visit to finally see Perseus in person, even though Perseus promised to meet him later down the line, currently the human side are having weird movements, especially the west and the south, they are up to something, so he's using his free time to come meet Perseus personally.

He brought Lilith, who has met Perseus before, another general who's the head of his personal guards, and 3 of the top demon fighters along with him, even though he doesn't necessarily need all that much security, it is a custom for them to do so in case anything goes wrong, he was the previous head of guards as well, so he is not annoyed at this custom.

They are all in their human disguise, though Lilith had the easiest one as she resembled the most like a human apart from her fangs and tail, but she hid them and since people have recognizes her usual face in the south, she now wore a disguise that slightly changed her facial feature.

They then went to live in a nearby safehouse as they then sent scouts out to find where Perseus is staying at the moment, though as goddess, Lilith already knows about it, and she knows that her brother will know that she's here as well.

<Of all of them, he's the most annoying one.> she thought before she left with her group <Well Perseus, rip him a new one when we meet him.>

Perseus POV

"What the hell are you doing here?!"

"It's a private bath, it's not separated by gender." Leilah replied

I got to a nearby luxurious bathhouse and paid for a private hot tub, I am relaxing in it with Buddy who enjoyed it as well, but Leilah appeared all of a sudden wrapped in a white towel, damn...she's fucking hot. I know a rose guardian can teleport to the lord at any time, but I didn't expect her to use it like this.

Silky black hair, smooth white skin...her smile, and a good hourglass figure, crap, how did I even land someone like her?

She just dipped herself in without any further questions and placed her towels to the side, she got over to me and placed my head on my shoulder as she stayed there.

I'll be honest, I'm having a hard time looking at anything. Buddy sensed something and left first, damn it, he's leaving me alone, you're supposed to be loyal and helping me here.

"Do you not like me or something?" she asked in a teasing manner "You're not looking at me at all."

"Trust me, if I do, I won't be able to handle myself." I replied as I turned to face her

"If anything, I'll take it as a compliment."

She then leaned in a kiss me, as scary as she is sometimes, I've known her for a long time, I know who she truly is, she evolved from just someone who appeared in my dreams to someone important in my life, the project had no upsides, but I guess, without it, my life wouldn't be the same.

I would have died a long time ago without this woman. And I wouldn't be here either, my life is a bit stressful, but I enjoyed every single moment of it.

"You've gotten stronger." Leilah commented "Your muscles are more toned and everything."

"Of course, I trained everyday."

"Wanna do it here?" she asked as she wrapped her arms around my neck "You look up for it."

"No..."

"What?" she looked disappointed there "You're already well past 16 and your body is already that of a young adult."

"I've already left my payment, Ruka is currently sleeping in a different room, and I can sense Buddy heading to the cathedral to clock in for work early...our room should be empty." I can then see her realization "Can you teleport us there?"

Lilith POV

Later that night, in the demon's safehouse, the scouts we've sent out managed to find out which hotel Perseus is staying at and so they've written a letter and gave it to me to formally invite Perseus to meet the demon lord.

I left the next day and got to the hotel to see Ruka sitting and waiting in the lobby where I then headed to her. She is currently reading a newspaper and despite my disguise, she recognize who I was as I see her waving at me.

"Where's the other 2? They're usually up by now when you're the one sleeping in. It's like 10 am."

"I don't know." Ruka shrugged as she flipped through the newspaper "Perseus even miss his daily morning training, do you want me to go wake them up or will you?"

"I'm in my disguise, so I'll go."

I got to their room and gave them a knock, get Perseus come and greet me, it seems that he was in the shower earlier as I can sense the use of magic used to dry his hair, and the nice scent of his shampoo, his eyes also got a little bag under it probably due to the lack of sleep which is strange since it should be his free day yesterday.

I handed him the letter and head in without asking a question. I then see Leilah sitting on the edge of the bed and I greet her with my usually hug, but strange, why does she have a nice scent, it's as if she just took a shower as well, didn't know they got that close after the last time we've met.

"Demon lord, cool." Perseus said as he read the letter "Luckily, it's not today, I might not look that good."

Wait...just taken a shower and didn't have a lot of sleep...no way...
