A normal day for a Lumberjack.

Mykie was a highly skilled and reputed lumberjack. He was capable of finishing any highly difficult job.

From harvesting the trees protected by the giants, or harvesting woods planted on clouds high in the sky.

He was the most skilled, but today is just a normal day for him and his daughter, Andrea.

He only needed to harvest a tree in the nearby forest for his client.

So, he prepared the truck, loaded in his weapons and pieces of equipment, and departed with his daughter from his house to the nearby forest.

For him, it was only an easy task to go harvest some wood in this forest, but for other rookies or even veterans lumberjacks, it was a difficult task that can cost their lives if they were not ready.

That's why his client requested him, from everyone else, because he was the best at his job.

The forest was massive, taking up to a thousand hectares of land, the most common trees in this forest were massive, reaching up to one kilometer in length and a hundred meters in diameter.

But Mykie was prepared, armed with a truck the size of a small building, mounted with a giant saw of twenty-five meters of diameter, it was capable of cutting trees reaching up to five hundred meters of diameters.

He also adds a large clamp capable of picking and carrying huge trees of a maximum of twenty-five kilometers long, a kilometer wide, or multiple trees at once. It can also pick trees up weighing hundred of thousand metric tons.

He even has a trailer, which is driven by his daughter.

It is capable of transporting trees reaching seventy kilometers in length if needed, and ten kilometers in diameter but you would have to detach a certain portion of the trailer to extend its capacity.

It can support a million metric tons but would be drastically slowed down by it, needing the truck to track it.

Mykie was also armed with a silver shotgun capable of transforming any living being into a bloody mess, a red laser sword capable of cutting through approximatively anything, an armor allowing him to withstand an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of destroying a hundred hectares of land, and an ax capable of cutting any tree in existence no matter how wide it is or it's length, resistance.

His daughter is also well-armed with a sniper capable of shooting from one continent to another, via the sea which roughly translates to a distance of one million kilometers.

She also has a spear that can pierce through the most robust material and some pieces of armors as qualitative as her father, a chainsaw that can cut a world tree in ten seconds.

Together, they can chop any tree and finish every job that they take. Even the most difficult one.

But today is just a normal day, so this mission will not be difficult even fairly easy for them.

There is something in this forest that makes it so difficult for other lumberjacks to wander in easily and harvest its wood.

And the reason behind this difficulty is something called corruption, a vice propagated by the corpse of an evil god.

It changes every sentient life into a fanatic of this dead god and alters any nonsentient life transforming them into a ruthless being only sicking destruction and chaos, by infesting their mind and boosting their strength, transforming them into a threat to any nearby living being.

Corruption also converts any adjacent land into corrupted land that can radiate corruption and infect more things around it.

But an organization specialized in the protection of the land and its people from corruption exists, and its name is, the Healing Church of Yharnam.

By using the blood of a god that failed to ascend, they are granted great power and can cure corruption. But everything has a prize and some of them that cannot withstand the great power hidden in the blood drown in it and become insane. Seeking more blood to satiate their endless thirst for blood.

But Mykie and Andrea, (his daughter) dare enter this dangerous forest without being a part of the Healing Church is because they have a secret.

They have a tool that can cure corruption, it can cure them, and trees, reaching up to a hundred kilometers tall but they have taken to their trip only a smaller version for the little truck that can cur trees up to ten kilometers tall.

Mykie and Andrea entered the forest, they were forced to drive off the road because it cannot support the size and the weight of their truck and trailer.

After having driven for thirty-minute, they arrive at a great plain covered by bloody soil and empty of all trees.

It is delimiting the non-corrupted forest from the corrupted forest that's far away in the distance.

This bloody soil is the solution of the Healing Church to restrain corruption.

By fusing the blood of the god, and the ground.

They are capable of stopping the corruption from spreading, they also needed to chop every tree in this region because it would be too difficult to fuse the blood and the trees.

Mykie and his daughter add already seen this land multiple times before, so they are not shocked by the view. They just continued driving off the regular road on the bloody soil.

From the distance on the bloody soil, a silhouette was seen running toward them, but after seeing their truck and trailer the silhouette back away and start running somewhere else.

After another ten minutes of driving, Mykie and his daughter reach the corrupted forest.

They are now in hostile territory and even if they have outstanding equipment they cannot let their guard down.

They don't know who they will encounter, maybe the evil god was not dead and is waiting for them deep in the forest.

They can also encounter fanatic tribe members that live deep in the forest, they could be capable of disrupting and delaying their job.

But with no tribal sign in view or no god waiting for them in view, they continue driving, more deeply into the forest.

Occasionally on the way to their destination, they pass by some corrupted beast who seeks to destroy their truck.

But they only need to run them over, and before the beast realizes it, he's below the wheels of a hundred-ton truck or a twenty-ton trailer.

After driving another ten hundred kilometers, they arrive deep into the forest.

They've finally arrived at their destination. A large tree, two kilometers tall and a hundred and fifty meters wide.

It is covered in a gooey fleshy mess, with pulsating purple veins.

There seem to be something written all over the tree, but it cannot be seen or understood with the naked eye.

It is a mother tree, a tree that the fanatic tribe inhabiting the forest worship daily. It replaces the godly figure of the evil god that's dead deep inside of the forest.

Their client wants them to cut the tree, cure it of its corruption and give it to them so that they can study its anomaly.

Andrea was the first to exit her trailer. She quickly found a suitable tree and climbed it to have a good view of the surrounding area.

In the meantime, Mykie was preparing the truck to cut the mother tree.

He approached the tree with the truck, targeted it with the console of the giant saw making it capable of cutting the tree automatically, and started chopping it.

He exited his truck and got up a small hill, not too far from his truck and the tree that Andrea climbed.

He then proceeded to load his shotgun with a small clip of twenty-five bullets and started looking for any tribal people nearby that could want to stop him from doing his job of chopping their mother's tree.

Two minutes passed before Andrea saw their first tribals members approaching them.

They were more than a thousand of them charging at them from all directions, they were all armed with diverse weapons made from the tree and rock of the forest.

These weapons were made from corrupted wood and stone meaning that they can easily infect other people with various illnesses if they get cut.

But Mykie and Andrea were prepared and well-armed for this situation. So he didn't need to worry much about it.

The only preoccupation was that they could delay his job, and this is unforgivable.

The first shot was fired by Andrea with her sniper rifle.

She had customized her sniper rifle with a semi-automatic mode, because of how many times she had to fight a large number of opponents.

The shot pierced through the skull of one of the fanatics before a storm of bullets rained on them.

In a matter of ten seconds, ten percent of the fanatics were killed and in thirty seconds half of them were dead on the ground.

By then, she had already stopped firing, because she needed to recharge her magazine of two hundred miniature ammunition into her rifle.

Seeing that the rain of bullets stopped, Mykie charged the tribes members, only then will he be able of avoiding friendly fire.

He first blasted ten of the fanatics with his shotgun, turning them into a cloud of meat.

He then quickly shot two more rounds at them, killing twenty-seven more fanatics before switching to his laser blade, and started to cut them in half.

from Andrea first shot to the charge of Mykie, the fanatics members of the tribe didn't have any chance to escape them.

It was a complete unilateral slaughter.

Only forty-five seconds after the first fanatics' arrival to their departure had passed, but they were already all dead.

Not a single one survived in the thousand of tribe members that had rushed to this place to protect their mother tree.

The giant saw only needed five minutes to cut the mother tree, and already, two minutes and forty-five seconds had gone by.

fifteen seconds after the last fanatics was dead, on reaching the three minutes mark.

A high-pitched scream capable of breaking the eardrum escaped from the mother tree before a gigantic golem made of wood emerged from underground distributing dust all over the place.

He was a third as tall as the mother tree but was twice the diameter of her. He was bald with no face, had two long wooden arms on each side of his body with a closed fist on each end. Two strong legs were there supposed to be and a back covered in spike. His body is covered in strong bark with pulsating veins on the outside letting out some slimy sap.

Seeing this giant golem climb from underground, Andrea quickly emptied her magazine in the golem head before reloading it.

She reloaded her rifle with more powerful ammunition and switched to a standard, not semi-automatic mode.

Mykie hurried in the back of his truck.

Arrived there, he pressed a button deploying a giant Gatling gun on top of his truck.

He escalated the ladder placed on the rear end of it leading directly to the roof.

He then aimed at the golem and proceeded to empty ten thousand ammunition in his body, showering the golem in bullets.

The golem lost his head, a leg partially broke the other one. Lost his two arms and made had a big hole in the middle of his body.

But the golem was not dead yet. It needed to be burned entirely into ash to be sure.

So, Mykie got down from the roof of his truck via the ladder.

Run to its right side and opened a compartment on its side, inside were three big flame throwers.

Two were linked to the truck, and one was not. But he had a portable unit attached to it capable of containing ten tons of consumables, but it needs a special exoskeleton to carry this portable unit because of its sheer size and weight.

He picks up one of the flame throwers that is attached to the truck and opens fire on the golem.

Andrea goes down the tree and hurries on the other side of the truck to pick up a water hose attached to it.

She then proceeds to open water on the nearby tree and ground to prevent the fire from spreading.

The golem, who is consumed by flame, screams one last time before not being able to do it anymore and starts burning into ash.

After two minutes of constant raging flames. Andrea watered the fire, making it stop from burning.

The giant saw as finished cutting the mother tree.

Mykie entered the truck to grab the tablet allowing him to control the large clamp via the console and charged the mother tree onto the trailer.

The tree loaded and attached to the trailer, he retract the saw and the clamp inside the truck.

Mykie runs to the side of his truck and stores away the flame thrower in the compartment and closes it.

He then presses the button on the back of the truck to retract the Gatling gun inside of it.

He then runs toward the front of the truck and jumps in it, and proceeds to start the engine to drive right back home.

Andrea also stores the water hose on the other side of the truck, jumps inside of the trailer, starts the engine, and follows her father.

The two of them drive back home rather nonchalantly, on their way to the exit of the corrupted forest they pass by a group of members of the Healing Church fighting some tribe member.

The Healing Church members had followed them into the forest because they knew that wandering that deeply into the forest probably meant that Mykie and Andrea were going to cut a mother's tree, badly damaging the tribe of fanatics in the process making it an opportunity for the Healing Church to attack their tribe.

Because the war between the Healing Church and the Fanatics tribe is none of their business, the two of them didn't do anything and just passed by letting them do their jobs.

The fanatics tried to free their mother tree, but they only succeeded in being run over by the truck or the trailer.

They encounter a bunch more of this skirmish on their way before arriving at the end of the corrupted forest.

Here they saw that a small camp had been installed by The Healing Church on the bloody soil, it is meant to be the front line of the battle against the fanatics.

Three grand statues of the failed god had been hastily constructed circling the camps. They are magic statues catalyzing the mind of the failed god to protect the camp from any attacks.

Thirty thousand healing church members are wandering in the camps, seventy thousand more are in the forest fighting against hordes of angry fanatics.

In the meantime, Mykie and Andrea just avoided the camps and continued onto their journey to return to their home.

They proceeded to arrive smoothly at their home where they sold the mother tree to their client for a fair bit of cash.

Another day passed, another mission was well finished.
