Increase the Conflict
Maya didn't really understand, how Sam is going to do this.
When she remembered what happened until now, she understood that Sam has a great chance at doing this. But there is one aspect of this whole thing that she didn't understand.
These people are clan leaders.
All of them are divine plane cultivators and they all have a common goal. To capture Maya and her children.
But even in all of that, the fact that they are fighting each other is very surprising to her to say the least. She really wanted to ask Sam how he managed to pull that off.
Sam would have just laughed if he heard that.
Actually, the logic is pretty simple. At this moment, when the children are still up for grabs, these people might have neutral ground, but this is also the time when they are hoping for the rest of their peers to die.
Even if they try to act cordial or try to suppress their desire, that is their true nature.
