Meeting Landon

"Welcome back Lord Dante," Both Alfred and the servants bowed deeply upon our arrival.

Espying their sincere greetings, I waved my hand in acknowledgement as I informed Alfred of my desire to introduce Deena to my mom.

He nodded in understanding of my words and ordered a few butlers to inform Landon and the mystery helper of my arrival which will thus set up our commencement towards our journey to the Blue Aqua City where the only dungeon in the human realm was situated.

And not too long after, I could see the image of two people approaching where I stood.

"You humans never cease to amaze me. How can you still maintain your looks after all this years?"

A familiar voice I could never forget even if I had my memories wiped away, sounded in front of me.

"Hehe.... Long time no see to you too Landon," I chuckled a bit before responding.

His voice which always sounded as though he was bored of his very existence still sounded the same but the only difference right now was his appearance. Back in the days he was an average built wolf kin.

Yeah you heard right. Landon is a wolf kin but unlike most demi humans of his race. Landon was among a few whose whole body was covered in fur rather than specific parts of his body. He was like a were wolf capable of walking with his two legs.

Now back to his appearance. The usual tall average built wolf kin now looks slender and worn-out maybe due to fatigue, with his eyes tired and flat as though they intend to inform the world of how physically exhausted Landon was.

He wore a cloak with a hood over his head to conceal his physical appearance but with [[Awareness]], his appearance wasn't too difficult to notice.

"I'm sorry D. How have you been my friend?"

"I'm fine I guess. And you?" I shrugged to Landon's inquiry before asking of his well being also

Rather than replying to my question, Landon stepped towards me and wrapped his arm around my neck as he urged me to listen attentively to him.

"Listen my friend. Do you really know what the world is made of?"

Landon asked me as he placed his hand towards the sky.

"Um? Nope," Befuddled by what he meant, I bluntly replied.

"My young inexperienced D. Hmm... Tsk....tsk....You know nothing of the world. The world is actually made of diapers. You hear that? Diapers!! The world is made up of nothing but white fluffy diapers!!. Diapers here,! Diapers there!. Diapers everywhere!. Diapers will eventually rule the world!! Muhahaha!!!"

Landon let out an insane maniacal laughter as he spreads his arms wide and faced the sky while laughing.

*Splash*

The second person who was with Landon was also dressed in a cloak that aided in concealing his appearance. It seems the person had an affinity to water as he activated a spell which aided in splashing water on Landon to help cool his mind.

"Feeling better now Master Landon?"

"Yeah. Thank you Axel,"

The neutral tone of Axel who was talking to Landon was clearly devoid of emotions. He then brought his cloak downwards to reveal himself.

Axel was actually a lizard kin with scales being replaced on every part of his skin. He was the one Landon brought to aid us in our quest. In the letter I sent to Landon, I had requested he bring a couple of capable men he thinks can help us in this quest.

It seems Axel was the only one deemed worthy of his approval.

"I'm sorry you had to see me in such a state D," Landon remarked feeling a bit annoyed by what happened just now.

"Do I need to be concerned?" I asked with an eyebrow raised.

"Haha.... No buddy it's just....."

Landon then began to inform me of a really long story. Well here's the summary of the said story.

It seems Landon finally decided to settle down a couple of years back after he met a dazzling female wolf kin like him. Both had married and now she had given birth to his cubs. And that's where the problem originated from. Notice the plural "cubs"

It turned out to be that his wife had given birth to a terrifying number of fifty cubs. With forty nine male cubs and only one female cub. Landon had been tasked to be the one to take care of all fifty cubs every single day and night due to the fact that his wife had yet to fully recover after giving birth to such an astonishing number of babies.

"listen to me my friend. Do you know that I can't remember the last time I smelled something good apart from babies poop. How could I possibly remember? When all I could smell around me were poop and pee, pee and poop. Poop and pee, pee and poop. Eventually we'll all be eating poop and pee!!! Muhahaha!!! " Landon resumed his maniacal remarks.

*Splash*

"Thank you Axel," Landon whose entire body got drenched by gallons of water thanked Axel before drying his body up with his wind elemental ability.

Seeing as how Axel was well prepared to splash him anytime Landon acted as he did. I couldn't help but wonder if such a thing was a common occurrence from where they both came from.

It seems Landon rescued Axel from a group of bandits a couple of years back and since then Axel had volunteered himself to be Landon's assistant in brewing potions.

I glanced towards Landon once again as I couldn't help but feel sorry for him. It isn't easy to take care of a child and now my old buddy is currently preoccupied with taking care of not two, not ten but fifty little cubs. No wonder he's a little bit delusional.

"Hey D? Can I see the list of materials you made mention of in the letter?" Landon faced towards me as he inquired about the list of materials needed for brewing the potion the Emperor said he had found beforehand.

"I don't have it with me right now, "

"Then who has it?" Puzzled by my response, he inquired once more.

*Flap!!*. *Flap*

Just as I was about to reply to Landon's inquiry, the flapping sound of a large pair of wings filled the air around the vicinity we were currently in. All shifted their gaze towards a heavenly figure as she lands in just a few meters before us.
