Pearls and another karma gate

Moving through the halways of the water front facility Finn and spearmaster found themselves faced with many creature many of which did not even get a chance to fight back as Finn killed them quickly wanting to gain all the exp he could which caused him to finally level up gaining another point which he swiftly threw into bone shield.

[Exp gained 180]

'What's that?' Finn's curiosity piqued further as he caught a small, intriguing glimmer in the nearby waters. His inquisitiveness compelled him to investigate, and upon closer examination, he retrieved a small white sphere, approximately the size of a large tennis ball, which he cradled gently within his hand.

'Score' Finn thought as he made a decision. He emptied one of his inventory slots, previously occupied by a lizard's corpse, and replaced it with the mysterious white pearl. However, just as he prepared to depart, his keen eyes caught yet another glimmer, compelling him to investigate once more.

To his astonishment, he uncovered a unique discovery: a melded pearl, a mesmerizing blend of purple and magenta hues, fused together in an inseparable union. No matter how diligently he attempted to separate them, they remained conjoined, defying his efforts.

'Better keep this' finn thought and with no thought he emptied another inventory slot to place the conjoined pear in as he walked back to his group which were currently feasting on some Jet fish.

The Jet Fish, in terms of its original appearance, presented itself as a striking and elongated aquatic creature. It featured bioluminescent jet thrusters lining its sides, intricate patterns of bioluminescence adorning its sleek body, and transparent fin-like appendages designed for nimble maneuvering. With a pointed snout, large and expressive eyes, and a streamlined, dark-colored body, the Jet Fish was initially intended to be a visually captivating and enigmatic presence within the game's underwater environments.

However, this captivating image was tragically altered. Both Echo and the Spearmaster had brutally extracted the eyes from these creatures, rendering them hollow and semi-lifeless. The Spearmaster's spear strikes had punctured their bodies, extracting their vital fluids, and leaving them in a state of irreversible mutilation.

'These bastards scare me' Finn's contemplations deepened as he approached the duo, their relentless feasting on the Jet Fish remaining uninterrupted. They paid him no heed, their voracious appetite for the Jet Fish's remains holding their complete attention, seemingly oblivious to his presence.

{I think we should keep moving} Finn made a suggestion, his voice breaking the feasting duo's concentration. With bits of Jet Fish still in their mouths, they looked up at him, their expressions reflecting slight surprise, as if struggling to process his words amid their meal.

{A few more minutes} Spear Master and Echo replied in unison, their voices muffled by the food in their mouths which was weird as they talked through the mind. they continued their meal at a leisurely pace, much to Finn's slight annoyance. Recognizing that waiting a few more minutes wouldn't make a significant difference, Finn decided to join in the feast. He dragged over a nearby lizard corpse and settled down to partake in the impromptu meal with his companions.

*3 minutes later*

It didn't take long for Finn and his companions to satiate their hunger, and their contented satisfaction lingered only briefly. As they collectively recognized the need to resume their journey, they set aside their mealtime respite and made the decision to get moving once more.

{So what's your iterator like SM?} While jogging down the dim, moist hallways of the waterfront facility, Finn turned to the Spearmaster and asked, his words punctuated by the rhythm of their footsteps. The unexpected question caught the Spearmaster off guard, his expression registering surprise before he composed himself to respond.

{I would say he is nice as he taught me everything I know from combat to the lay of the land} The Spearmaster replied, his demeanor calm despite the abrupt query. In a swift and practiced motion, he hurled a spear at a nearby wall, creating a makeshift platform that served as a bridge for Finn and himself. With a coordinated effort, they ascended onto the raised platform, their agility and resourcefulness in navigating the environment evident.

{Is their anything you dont like about him?} Finn's inquiry caught the Spearmaster off guard once more, causing him to nearly halt his ascent of the pole. They hung from it, having leaped from the platform, their movements momentarily paused as the question hung in the air.

{Well.... he's kinda intense} The Spearmaster responded in a manner that conveyed the complexity of his thoughts, as if Finn's words were both accurate and insufficient to capture the essence of their iterator, leaving much unspoken but deeply felt.

{What makes you say that?} Finn sought further clarification, his curiosity urging the Spearmaster to elaborate. In response, he extended a hand, forming a strong hold before Finn's fast spin launched SM across a daunting gap. Seizing the moment, the Spearmaster efficiently threw multiple spears into the walls, creating a makeshift path for Finn to navigate as he moved forward. The actions spoke to a deep, unspoken understanding between the two slugcats have made, their synergy and trust evident in this daring display.

{He sent 5 messengers out before me} The Spearmaster's response left Finn momentarily stunned, his attention snapped back to the immediate danger as he barely managed to block a surprise attack from above by a dropwig with his shield. Reacting swiftly, he slammed the insect-like creature, perched menacingly on his shield, into the wall with a forceful strike, reducing it to a gruesome mess of scattered blood and limbs. The sudden violence served as a reminder of the danger of their surroundings.

{How many messenger does he have?} Drawing near to the Spearmaster, Finn's curiosity piqued as they reached a familiar colossal gate which once again had a shinning holographic symbol floating beside it along with a familar red overseer.

{I would guess somewhere bewteen 20 - 15} The sight of the Karma Gate swinging open left Finn utterly speechless, a mixture of awe and dread coursing through him. The notion that there might be fourteen other surviving Spearmasters out there, along with the unsettling realization that an Iterator had created life with such apparent abandon, weighed heavily on his mind. The implications of his discoveries loomed large, casting a shadow of uncertainty over their journey.
