43. SMILE

"When it pains her,

She smiles a lot,

And her smiles are the proofs,

That she has struggled a lot."

She didn't felt something. The whole ride her heart and mind was blank. She couldn't even feel any happiness or sadness. Just few days ago her father was assigned to stay imprisoned for his whole life and now her sister. Her body jerked forward slightly, bringing her back to earth as Waqas pressed on brakes. They both came out of the car and moved forward to go in their apartment. Blinking her eyes she followed him behind.

Waqas wanted to comfort her but he was waiting for her outburst, which was really very necessary for her mental health and physical health. He quietly closed the door after seeing that she has come inside. His gaze followed her movements, as she sat on the couch. It was new, so she didn't felt any kind of feeling towards it. He took a seat besides her trying to calm his own demeanour.
