CHAP34: Preparation

''Damnit!'' Ken shouted he immediately ran as fast as he could this feeling of losing something important to him greatly affected his judgement, it was an emotion which he had long forgotten it was fear.

When he arrived his body stiffened looking at the bodies that motionless lying on the ground then he's eyes shifted towards someone who could barely keep himself it was Adrian.

''Catcha!'' Ken managed to hold Adrian who already lost consciousness from exhaustion.

''It seems like Ethan's down as well.....no wonder his connection with the formation was cut off'' Kane spoke as he slowly inspected the three sleeping idiots.

''We have to cure their injuries as soon as possible'' Karp also arrived and said.

''No need to worry we'll take of everything here'' a voice sounded behind the three which made them jolted they didn't even sense a single thing from them.

''Sorry to scare you my name is Kai I think those kids are under my care'' he then walked closer with a calm pace but Ken and Kane still looked at Kai with vigilance.

''What's with the tension you guys have shouldn't we hurry to help these three up'' For a second time the three felt cold filling up to their spines stiffly they turned to look at Ethan and there they saw Winter calmly looking at them.

''Let's go it's better to move before it's too late''

while lifting Axel Kai said that he looked at Winter who had already taken Laima so he went to bring Adrian as well.

''Wait where are you taking them?'' Ken asked before they could even go.

Winter shot a glance towards him before saying

''We're taking them to the city''

''Huh? But the city is still too far from here how can you ensure that those kids are alive by the time you get there'' Ken still hesitant spoke again.

''We may arrive early if you keep your mouth from talking and just trust us'' Feeling that Axel's body was not getting good Kai became impatient with their talk so he beckoned Winter to go with him.

With great speed, the two shot towards the sky taking close precautions not to endanger the kids on their arms since they are using an overpowering speed.

Wait!'' Ken shouted but he was stopped by Kane he said.

''It's okay calm down I think it is much better to leave it to them''

Ken halted his movements and looked at the grim dark sky.

''It looks like a battle happening here''

Moments after Kai and Winter's departure few prominent figures appear one by one giving off an oppressing pressure. The barrier surrounding the part of the forest which they are currently in was blasted off from the impact of Adrian and Lech's fight.

''It is my deepest apologies this situation escalated this far and we couldn't do anything.....if you need anything feel free to tell us'' this man is Fa Killian he had finally sensed the drastic change in the train after the barrier got broken.

''Father!'' Abigail finally arrived she immediately embraced her father who looked at his daughter's appearance in shock.

''What kind of battle happened here?..... Abigail, you have so many injuries....'' but he didn't have time to finish his sentence Abigail already lost consciousness same goes for Leo who could barely keep himself.

"The side effect of the formation is kicking'' Kane said catching Leo who already shut his eyes up.

''Side effects what do you mean?'' Killian asked looking extremely worried at his daughter.

''A Deity-level battle happen here'' a beautiful maiden voice out while looking at the aftermath of the battle.

''A Deity?.....is that why you resort to using a sphere formation to fight against that kind of enemy?'' Killian asked again guilt filled his body as he held her unconscious daughter a fight that almost killed her happened and he couldn't do anything in order to stop it.

''Maybe it's best if we tell you everything that transpires but Leo and Abigail's safety came first, sir we have to take them to the city immediately'' Kane spoke while bringing Leo towards Killian.

Killian immediately understood and carried both Leo and Abigail towards the sky.

''Now then shall we fix this mess'' Looking at the scattered armored train Ken said he then glanced towards the Deities that arrived.

''You people already fought well we will take this from here so you guys can rest'' that maiden who spoke a moment ago said.

Ken on the other hand went towards the room where the kids were located when he arrived he couldn't see any people inside the rag room.

''Where on earth are they?'' he walked for a few moments until he saw people gathered on the other side of the forest it was a safe zone where the impact of the battle wouldn't affect them.

Moving closer there he noticed a large barrier made by other Demigods who chose not to join the battle.

''Bring the wounded here immediately'' A woman who looks to be in her twenties along with many more young alchemist help to tend the patients.

''Please take the critical patient here!'' surrounded by dozens of Nirvana cultivators Lucia called out moments later a man who could barely breathe with his arms missing was delivered.

''Mister you will be fine don't worry'' Lucia placed her hand towards the injury and bit by bit the wounds started to heal.

''Ugh'' Because of her young age Lucia can barely heal the man she doesn't have enough essence qi to continue that's when a small hand touched his back it was Luca.

''Don't worry sis I'm here'' With a Nirvana-level cultivator beside him Luca began to transfer the essence qi of that Nirvana cultivator to his sister with great caution not to put too much burden on her back.

''I bet those from the Wei family will regret treating Luca and Lucia like a slave'' Ken thought to himself as he went towards the two.

''Can I help?'' he asked kindly with his voice the two kids looked at Ken and gave an expression brimmed with happiness.

''Uncle you are safe!'' they both said with cheerful smiles on their faces.

''Uncle where's big bro?'' Luca asked noticing Ethan's absence.

''No need to worry that idiot just went to fix something he'll be back before you know it''

''Okay!'' feeling like there's nothing to worry about the two went back to their business.

''To think they had fought someone of our caliber here'' one of the Deities of Chi family said.

''Can you give us a brief explanation of how this happened?'' the beautiful maiden spoke again while trying to find the remains of the enemy.

''Okay miss....''

''Aliyah Wang'' she simply said.

''Okay Miss Aliyah Wang this is what happened'' Kane said as he began his narration.

''Come on Axe'' Ethan began to exit the room but he was stopped by an indescribable feeling of danger.

''It seems like you have felt it as well'' Adrian said as he looked at the window.

''Wait what do you guys mean?'' Axel looked baffled he couldn't comprehend the words of these two.

''We just entered a domain barrier'' Ken was the one who answered him looking at the same place Adrian was looking.

''Domain barriers aren't those special barriers created by Deities'' Abigail said looking nervous she knew this barrier was made so that what happened inside wouldn't be noticed by the outside world.

''Our enemy is a Deity no doubt'' Laima said looking extremely grim.

''Do you think anyone has noticed it?'' Axel asked he then received a reply from Adrian.

''That won't be possible unless they like us''

''What do you mean by that?'' still confused Axel asked again but this time it was Ethan who answered.

''Adrian was saying only those who have a unique feature who can sense the difference in laws of nature can feel what changes happened in our surroundings''

''So you two are one of them''(Axel)

''Well our Lin family is famous for its renowned use of senses so it's not that surprising that I can do it as well but Yue it seems like it was my mistake of challenging you a moment ago'' Adrian said while surveying Ethan it seems like he had the interest to know his origin.

''Our main problem right now is our hidden enemy who are hiding within this train we must identify them immediately'' Ethan tried to shift everyone from him towards their enemy since his identity was still hidden from everyone else.

''Yue is right we can't handle an all-out war with a Deity even if it is just one its strength is enough to kill us all'' Leo finally spoke his been trying to communicate with his sister but failed to.

''Okay first we must identify our enemy second their purpose and our countermeasures'' Ethan said while taking out a blueprint of the train.

''Where did you get this'' Abigail asked this blueprint is very important yet it's in the hands of someone else.

''Your father gave it to me'' Ethan simply said.

''I know, how about we look at the items we confiscated and pick the most suspicious one I think the objects owned by our enemies will surely give a hint to us'' Axel said trying to make the atmosphere less tense.

''If it's about the most suspicious that would be the people who own this luminous stone'' Ethan took the luminous stone in front of everyone but Abigail was still hesitant to believe.

''Yue I don't think it's possible that stone is too ordinary to be suspicious''

''Is it that more reason to suspect it the more something is free of suspicion the more we should suspect it'' Laima became determined feeling that the ones who owned the stone our the enemies.

''Okay, that's enough.... Adrian catches'' Ethan and then decides to let Adrian inspect the stone so he throws the luminous stone to him.

Adrian catches the stone the moment his fingers touch it, his expression changes it is filled with fear and confusion.

''This is too strong.....'' he mumbled to himself seeing his expression Leo began to ask.

''What is it?''

''This thing....is....inside this stone is a highly compress energy it is so well hidden that you won't notice it unless you have refined senses like mine.... I think only those Deity can handle this''

Adrian's remark made their assumption correct only a Deity level being can operate or can make this stone.

''Now then, what are we going to do?....the enemy has been identified no doubt he is a Deity which is going to be a headache for us'' Ken looked at Leo the leader of the party Ethan then eyed him waiting for his answer right now the atmosphere is not good with Deity level enemy in tow tension is now starting to grow.

''That is something we don't need to argue with....after all, it is our job to stop them'' Full of determination he declares then he starts looking at the blueprint on the table they have.

''Now we need to know how many there are'' Leo asked Axel since he was the one who saw them.

''Three only three people are with him I'm sure of it'' Axel answered then he pointed to where their target was seated.

''I don't think we can win a fight against three Deities it's too much even if we add all the passengers on the train'' Leo calculates they will surely die without putting up a fight.

''I have an idea but it's quite risky'' Ethan said feeling that the option they have is close to nothing.

''What is it do you have something in mind'' Laima suddenly felt hope hearing Ethan's suggestion.

''I do have one it is a method using a sphere formation'' People who heard him felt confused since formation against a Deity is not convenient since Deities just need to use their spiritual consciousness to break the formation.

''This type of formation can seal the essence qi of the enemy and in return, the people inside the formation can have the power equal to our opponent, but this formation is quite dangerous to low-level cultivators who couldn't bear the burden of massive boost of their strength'' Ethan said while looking at Leo waiting for his decision.

Leo closed his eyes for a bit he seemed to be thinking deeply then he asked.

''What are the possible risks of using it?''

''The possible effects are tiredness, and sore body for worst cases it'll be degrading one realm, broken meridians, incapability of cultivating again and....worst is death'' Ethan emphasized everything he had said.

''Then how can we lessen the effects of it?'' Leo asked again he wanted an outcome with little damage to them.

''That would be assistance from a Demigod to give us physique blessings''

Physique blessings are types of blessings that let Demigods give a part of their physical strength or even their physical characteristics to someone else.

''Yue can't we just use Demigods to fight the Deities inside the formation since it is too much of a burden for us low level'' Axel said he thought it is better for them to let them fight instead of asking for their blessings.

''That won't be the case you see the higher the realm of someone the less the effects of the formation be. To put it simply the formation is used as the power to fill the gap in strength between realms the closer the enemy's realm is to the user the lesser the effects of it and it is also the same if the people who used it are many''

''If that's the case the risk in using it will be lessened'' Leo said then he looked at everyone before he shifted his gaze to Ethan

''How to prepare this formation then?'' he spoke having the undeniable calmness in his voice.

''I need as many Nirvanas as possible their much easier to hide after all...''

''Yue since we're inside their domain barrier they can sense everything that's happening here we're going to get caught before we can even move'' Adrian said as if he was opposing Ethan's plan.

''No need to worry I think I can help with that'' Laima said while bringing up a small flask inside it a crystalline liquid resided.

''Crystal fluid!'' everyone exclaimed this fluid can hide the presence of anyone who uses it even if it's a Deity it'll be hard for them to notice it.

''Now that's settles it'' Axel said suddenly he remembered something.

''Yue can my pals join in Kane, Kane come over here'' Hiding their presence to a mere Nirvana two strong Demigods appear before them Ethan only nodded then he asked the Nirvanas to line up and bring a ancient looking scrolls with them.

''Aren't those formation scrolls serious just how old fashioned can you get'' Adrian seemingly found something to say but suddenly spoke off.

''It is my deepest apologies that I'm so old fashioned but you see I'm still low levelled that I can only do this'' Ethan exasperatedly said.

Apparently formation scrolls are indeed one of the oldest ways to activate sphere formation inside each scroll has a magic sphere written in it once placed in formation the scrolls will now need blood to activate it.

''We don't have time for this move-out now!'' Leo commanded seeing a new round of bickering was about to start so he started by giving them a brief explanation of what the plans going to be.

''Sir Nirvanas once you have the scroll you have to fill them with energy after that you have to let them blend in the ground it's tasking but please take turns supplying it with the energy we can't risk being found by the enemy in case the scroll tried to suck essence qi from nature after that return here immediately'' Ethan explained as he gave each one of them a formation scroll.

''We have planned the place where the formation is being formed now for the passengers of the train'' Leo then looked at Axel he remembered their family his known for their telepathic ability so he ordered

''Axe can you send a thought transmission to every passenger here especially the Demigods we need them for the blessings''

''Yes I can but I might run out of power''

''Big bro I can help'' A hand tucked Axel's clothes and that's when everyone's attention shifted towards the kids whom they had forgotten.

''Huh!?'' apparently everyone just realized they had kids inside the room the enemies that coming made them forget about them.

''How can you help me then'' Axel asks rubbing Luca who looks determined to help.

''I have the ability to transfer essence qi from one person to another without having any side effects on them'' Luca simply said so he and Axel asked another Nirvana to be the supplier of energy while he became the bridge to connect him to Axel.

''Ahem.....voice test...voice test..... can everyone hear me.....now please calm down.... right now an enemy of a Deity level is boarding the train now.... please don't let your emotion show or else the enemies might notice what's happening.....I would like to ask Demigods for assistance to give us your physique blessings we really need it now...so please if you are willing to help can you please go to this room and kindly give us some of your blessings.....that is all and no need to worry everything is under control...'' he then send the image of Ethan's room as he ends the thought transmission.

''Leader mission accomplished!'' he happily said but he suddenly jolted when he noticed the exhausted Nirvana behind him so he quickly gave pills for him to recover.

''Leo we have to hurry their finishing putting up a solid barrier I won't be able to break even a small fraction of it if we don't hurry to stop them'' Adrian said he could sense the growing strength of the barrier soon enough every detail of their actions will be seen by their enemies.

''Adrian is there no member of your family on the other side that can sense what's happening?'' Axel said feeling nervous that the plan was not yet finished yet it seemed the enemy would be the first to attack.

''There isn't'' his reply almost made Axel mad what the hell is his family doing when a crisis is happening?

''No need to worry.....we still have to wait for the Nirvanas to return...'' Leo couldn't finish his sentence when Demigods entered one by one to give their blessings.

One Demigod places his hand on Axel giving him a sturdy physique like his.

''Thank you I know this will surely weaken you'' Axel humbly shows his gratitude.

''No need to worry my blessings won't affect me too much besides after this fight it'll all return to me'' he said as he began to exit the room.

Right after all of them had blessings the Nirvanas came looking extremely exhausted they had finally finished the task given to them.

''Now I'll go briefly with our plan.

First Yue and Axel will go and reveal the enemy's true strength after that, once the enemy falls to our trap and calls his allies you two must separate them into three different places remember that while we handle them Adrian will be the one to go towards the barrier and create a small crack to it enough for us to ask for help. Well, everything cleared for everyone... now if there are no more questions move out!''

Axel and Ethan are the keys to commence the plan if they were to fail everything would surely crumble they first have to catch the enemy off guard and send them to different places according to their different strength.

After Kane's narration, the Deities of Chi and Wang's family stare at him with silence, the way they plan was much better than theirs and instead of just buying time they end up defeating all of the enemies.

''Well unfortunately we couldn't follow the plan entirely it was quite disappointing'' Kane said While leaving a sigh.

You defeated Deities and yet you are disappointed those were the thoughts of the people hearing him but of course, they didn't voice them out.
