Xavier's POV:
After finishing my bath, I got dressed quickly as to not let Rion wait too much.
I got out and somewhat I feel even more embarrassed now!
"Xavi, sit here! I'll dry your hair or else you'll be sick!" – Rion said as he patted the chair by the vanity mirror holding a hair dryer.
"B-but, aren't hair dryers dangerous?"
"Not this one! This is battery-operated and not electric based hehe. No excuses~ c'mere."
I scuttled about and finally arrived at the chair. I am sitting and facing the mirror while Rion stood behind me. I can see him in the mirror.
He held my hair gently while the dryer blew warm air maybe this is reason why my heart feels warm as well. I observed him through the mirror and I can see the focus in his eyes.
"You know, Xavi. My mother always does this to me, and I like how she does it for me. So I thought I'll do it also to you. Do you like it?" - As he continued to caress my hair with extreme care, he asked.
"Yes." I like it very much that my heart is about to burst with happiness.
"I'm glad." – he said as he smiled gently through the mirror.
I stared at him hard, engraving all his actions in my heart.
After 5 minutes of so, he was done.
"There~ Let's go to bed?" – then he patted my head.
I stood up and followed his lead. We laid down the bed, and Rion scurried to my embrace.
"I'm really happy today, Xavi."
"Me too, Rion."
"Hehe, it would be good if we could do this even when we grew up. But I've heard that childhood friends often drift apart in their adulthood." – he worriedly asked me.
I held his hand tightly which he stretched towards me and said, "Don't worry Rion, that will never happen, not in this lifetime, not ever."
"Me too! Xavi, I'll never leave you." – he said as he grinned at me.
His answer set my heart in peace. I held his hands tighter and he squeezed it back while smiling to me.
"But to do that, we'll have to go to school. And I've heard that it's extremely difficult to enter the school." – he muttered sadly.
"Don't worry! I'll do anything to enter!"
"En! I'll believe you Xavi!"
"What exactly is it hard to enter?" – I inquired.
"Because to enter, you need to have lots and lots of money! Or you need to ace the tests! And tests are really difficult and scary!" – he shivered.
'Cute'
I can rule out the 1st option to enter because I'm sure that father of mine isn't gonna contribute at all. That leaves the 2nd one… Ace the test! And I'm quite confident in this area.
